Lepe Lira, Luz María;
Cuicuilco , 2008,
Abstract: the purpose of this research is to describe the discourse practices of museums and their sense effects on their visitors. a discourse analysis of communication was carried out in three museums of querétaro, méxico ("la magia del pasado" museum, regional museum and art museum), focusing on their youngest visitors in a school visit. our analysis is divided into two stages: 1) the study of the museums overall discourse strategies (space, text and museographic discourses), 2) the construction of an instrument that can account for the narrative experiences that children establish with those discourses. the results of such analysis are presented in order to determine the efficiency of the museums communication with their youngest visitors.
Luz Roa,María;
Psicoperspectivas , 2012, DOI: 10.5027/psicoperspectivas-Vol11-Issue1-fulltext-170
Abstract: from the mid-90's in the province of misiones there was generated a process of expulsion of agricultural workers living in the countryside. this population was concentrated in the periurban areas of intermediate cities in the province, and today they depend on the temporary work in the yerba mate harvest ?tarefa- and occasional jobs in town. as part of these processes, young people are the first generation who was socialized in such territories. this study aims to understand and explain the young people contributions to the family reproduction strategies, in the case of families from the suburban areas of the oberá city, whose members work as yerba mate harvesters. in this regard, we observe substantial transformations between current contributions and those young people made when they resided in the country side -generation of their fathers and mothers-, which vary by gender and family types. to assess these processes, we adopt a triangular approach, combining data from a inquest of peri-urban households in oberá and qualitative information from ethnographic fieldworks.
Endere,María Luz;
Cuadernos de la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales. Universidad Nacional de Jujuy , 2002,
Abstract: the protection of archaeological resources in argentina is based on a national heritage system, which is in the federal state custody. even when this system has never demonstrated to be efficient, the situation is more critical at present, because it seems to be unable to cope with the current challenges. meanwhile national state does not assume the role and the responsibilities related to cultural heritage given by the national constitution, the discussion and the adoption of heritage management policies have become a matter of macro-regional (e.g. mercosur) and international concern. on the other hand, local governments and people are getting involved in preserving heritage and indigenous communities are starting to claim their participation in the management of their cultural heritage, mainly the human remains of their ancestors. local and international heritage management, indigenous claims, mass consumption of archaeological resources and privatisation of cultural places are issues almost unknown in argentina until recently. however, they are now challenging the main bases of the heritage protection system in the country. in this context, the aim of this paper is to analyse the new scenario of heritage preservation in argentina and to explore the strengths and weaknesses of the current system as well as the threats and opportunities that the new "global" reality can offer for the near future.

Contested Heritages: National Collections, Archaeological Research and Ethnic Claims about Human Remains
Endere, María Luz
Trabajos de Prehistoria , 2000,
Abstract: In recent decades the claims made by Indigenous peoples and ethnic minorities about the human remains of their ancestors, found in archaeological sites or held in museums, have become a world scale phenomenon, as part of a whole range of ethnic restitutions. Even though these claims have been made in very different contexts (e.g. Native American peoples, Jewish in Israel, etc.), they have challenged values which seemed to be indisputable, such as the progress of scientific research and the role of nation states as guardians of the cultural heritage. The aims of this paper consist in analysing the development and the evolution of the reburial issue in different countries as well as discussing the legal, professional and ethical implications of this topic for archaeology and cultural heritage management.
