Abstract: This paper aims to show the relevance of teaching French as a foreign language through text genres, especially if we assume that the perspective adopted is one that privileges the action in a foreign language. In addition, we aim to reflect about the importance of knowing a genre before teaching how to produce it as well as point some difficulties involved in the elaboration of a didactic model, particularly when working with foreign languages. Therefore, we will analyze the genre itinéraire de voyage, and from observation of several texts of the same genre, we will elaborate a didactic model of this genre, as presented by Schneuwly and Dolz (2004). The theoretical basis of this study relies on the work of Schneuwly and Dolz (2004) and Bronckart (1999, 2004, 2006) for the definition of textual genres and the elaboration of a didactic model of the genre itinéraire de voyage. The didactic model of a genre is a collection of the characteristics of its teachable dimensions and is one of the steps towards the adoption of genres as a teaching object. Once completed, the didactic model can be used as a teaching tool for the teacher to choose what he/she will teach and how.

PURPOSE: to evaluate the concordance of the auditory-perceptive evaluation between intra and inter-raters, done as an isolated form and simultaneously accomplished to the correspondent spectrographic tracing in order to check whether the presentation of the vocal stimulus and spectrographic together increases the perceptual voice evaluation reliability. METHODS: this is a longitudinal study, where six speech and language therapists evaluated in two distinct moments 105 dysphonic and non-dysphonic voices of a perceptual voice evaluation form: firstly without, and afterwards with correspondent spectrograms presentations. Twenty percent of the voices were repeated randomly in both instances, in order to check for the intrarater agreement. GRBASI scale was used for the vocal evaluation. For inter-rater reliability analysis was used the sta

Abstract: Objective Apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values calculated through magnetic resonance imaging have been proposed as a useful tool to distinguish benign from malignant liver lesions. Most studies however included simple cysts in their analysis. Liver cysts are easy to diagnose, have very high ADC values and their inclusion facilitates differentiation in the ADC values between benign and malignant liver lesions groups. We prospectively evaluated the ability of ADC values to differentiate metastatic liver lesions from all benign or only solid benign liver lesions. Material and Methods Sixty-seven adult cancer patients with 188 liver lesions were evaluated. Lesions were categorized as metastatic or benign throughout imaging and clinical evaluation. One hundred and five (105) metastatic lesions and 83 benign lesions including hemangiomas (37), cysts (42), adenomas (2) and focal nodular hyperplasias (2) were evaluated. ADC values were calculated for each lesion utilizing two b values (0 and 600 sec/mm2). Results The average ADC value for cysts was 2.4×10?3 mm2/sec (CI: 2.1–2.6), for solid benign lesions was 1.4×10?3 mm2/sec (CI: 1.1–1.7) and for metastases was 1.0×10?3 mm2/sec (CI: 0.8–1.3). There was a difference between the ADC values of metastases and benign solid lesions (p<0.0001). With the ADC value of 1.5×10?3 mm2/sec as a cut off it is possible to distinguish metastatic from benign liver lesions, including cysts, with an accuracy of 78%. But to distinguish metastatic from benign solid liver lesions the best ADC cut off value was 1.2×10?3 mm2/sec and the accuracy drops to 71%. Conclusions ADC values proved to be helpful in the distinction between metastasis and benign solid hepatic lesions. But the exclusion of cysts in the analysis point out to a lower cut off value and lower accuracy than previously reported.

Abstract: health education movies are witnesses to history, pieces of social memory and valuable sources for producing knowledge in different fields. they still await rescue and promotion as a research subject. within the scope of brazil-usa cooperation that originated the special public health service (sesp) in 1942, the rockefeller foundation brought to brazil its previous experience in producing and using these movies for health education actions. the present project had the aim of recovering a set of 16 mm films from the sesp collection that, over decades, had become buried, rotting away and lost in dark corners of the national bureaucracy. the objectives were to physically restore the films and to describe and thematically organize them, in order to put them into an institutional digital memory repository, with a view to subsequently making them available and socializing them, among researchers and society in general, through a virtual space on the internet.

Abstract: Bacterial infection is considered to be one of the most critical health issues of the world. It is essential to overcome this problem by the development of new drugs. Marine organisms as corals, sponges, seaweeds, and other are an incredible source of novel pharmacologically active compounds. Herein, the antimicrobial activity (extract/fractions) of the invasive stony coralTubastraea coccinea was evaluated by the disk diffusion method against 21 microbial strains (ATCC and clinical strains). Micro broth dilution was used to determinate the MIC of the fractions that showed antimicrobial activity by the disk diffusion method. Bioautography assay was also performed. Our results showed that the n-butanol (BF) and aqueous fractions (AF) showed activity against ATCC strains Staphylococcus aureus (MIC 31.25 and 250 μg/mL),Salmonella typhimurium (MIC 125 and 500 μg/mL), Escherichia coli (MIC 62.5 and 500 μg/mL) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (MIC 62.5 and 500 μg/mL), respectively. Moreover, BF fraction was also effective against the clinical strains S. aureus(MIC 62.5 μg/mL), Klebsiella pneumoniae CarbapenemaseKPC (MIC 125 μg/mL), Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus
