Boletín Científico. Centro de Museos. Museo de Historia Natural , 2009,
Abstract: we present a review of the pierella helvina subspecies of the neotropical region, with the aim of describing a new subspecies from the locality of amalfi (antioquia), located at 1600 m of altitude in the cordillera central of colombia, the latter being the record with the most altitude reported for a pierella species. by manual capture using an entomological net, the data of each collection locality for each subspecies based on the review of collections where there is restricted geographic distribution pattern that is correlated with the major centers of endemism proposed by brown (1982) and haffer (1987), which are of particular interest in biogeographical and evolution studies of the species.

Abstract: in this paper an algorithm has been carried out with the aim to apply the technique of lineal model based predictive control (mpc) to non-linear process using a fuzzy predictor based on dynamical takagi_sugeno_kang structure. the local step linearization principle is used. this principle inherently let us to develop an adaptation process of the system dynamical matrix in each sampled period. this approach is new in classical mpc. the algorithm was applied to some study cases such as a direct current servo system with dead zone and a continuous steered tank reactor with exothermic reaction and the main results has been presented. such results are satisfactory in both cases.

DYNA , 2007,
Abstract: in this paper a fuzzy model based on dynamic takagi-sugeno-kang framework of a continuous stirred tank reactor (cstr) with exothermic fist order chemical reaction is carried out. from experimental data base obtained through real process simulation for input and output variables, the training and checking files of the fuzzy model were developed. theses files allow us to carried out the fuzzy model by mean of the anfis tool of matlab. the model obtained allow us to predict the system out put with a very small prediction error for that reason this model is very important to design a nonlinear predictive control based fuzzy model to this process in future research stages.

Revista Colombiana de Psiquiatría , 2010,
Abstract: objective: this study determined the validity and reliability of a new, abbreviated version of the spanish barratt impulsiveness scale (bis-15s) in colombian subjects. method: the bis-15s was tested in non-clinical (n=283) and clinical (n=164) native spanish-speakers. intrascale reliability was calculated using cronbach's a, and test-retest reliability was measured with pearson correlations. psychometric properties were determined using standard statistics. a factor analysis was performed to determine bis-15s factor structure. results: 447 subjects participated in the study. clinical subjects were older and more educated compared to non-clinical subjects. impulsivity scores were normally distributed in each group. bis-15s total, motor, non-planning and attention scores were significantly lower in non-clinical vs. clinical subjects. subjects with substance-related disorders had the highest bis-15s total scores, followed by subjects with bipolar disorders and bulimia nervosa/binge eating. internal consistency was 0.793 and test-retest reliability was 0.80. factor analysis confirmed a three-factor structure (attention, motor, nonplanning) accounting for 47.87% of the total variance in bis-15s total scores. conclusions: the bis-15s is a valid and reliable self-report measure of impulsivity in this po pulation. further research is needed to determine additional components of impulsivity not investigated by this measure.
Control predictivo basado en predictores borrosos
MIGUEL ANGEL RODRIGUEZ BORROTO,JOSE RAFAEL ABREU GARCIA,SERGIO JIMENEZ GARCIA,BORIS LUIS MARTINEZ JIMENEZ
DYNA , 2007,

Asymptotic Distribution Of The Roots Of The Ehrhart Polynomial Of The Cross-Polytope
Miguel Rodriguez
Mathematics , 2010,
Abstract: We use the method of steepest descents to study the root distribution of the Ehrhart polynomial of the $d$-dimensional cross-polytope, namely $\mathcal{L}_{d}$, as $d\rightarrow \infty$. We prove that the distribution function of the roots, approximately, as $d$ grows, by variation of argument of the generating function $\sum_{m\geq 0}\mathcal{L}_{d}(m)t^{m+x-1}=(1+t)^{d}(1-t)^{-d-1}t^{x-1}$, as $t$ varies appropriately on the segment of the imaginary line contained inside the unit disk.

Abstract: Neurogenin3, a proneural transcription factor controlled by Notch receptor, has been recently shown to regulate dendritogenesis and synaptogenesis in mouse hippocampal neurons. However, little is known about the molecular mechanisms involved in these actions of Ngn3. We have used a microarray analysis to identify Ngn3 regulated genes related with cytoskeleton dynamics. One of such genes is Fmn1, whose protein, Formin1, is associated with actin and microtubule cytoskeleton. Overexpression of the Fmn1 isoform-Ib in cultured mouse hippocampal neurons induced an increase in the number of primary dendrites and in the number of glutamatergic synaptic inputs at 4 days in vitro. The same changes were provoked by overexpression of Ngn3. In addition downregulation of Fmn1 by the use of Fmn1-siRNAs impaired such morphological and synaptic changes induced by Ngn3 overexpression in neurons. These results reveal a previously unknown involvement of Formin1 in dendritogenesis and synaptogenesis and indicate that this protein is a key component of the Ngn3 signaling pathway that controls neuronal differentiation.
