Desenvolvimento em Quest?o , 2010,
Abstract: This research aims to reveal how the procedures established by the Anvisa resolution RDC-216/04 influence the organizational culture of self-services restaurants in Uberlandia, under their managers perspective. The research is qualitative and descriptive. The method applied was the comparative case study. The techniques used for data collecting were organizational document analysis, observation and semi-structured interviews. For the results analysis it was applied the techniques of content analysis and speech analysis under the triangulation perspective. The research findings showed homogeneities and heterogeneities in the interpretation of the managers on how that legislation brought influences to their organizational culture. Managers belonging to the same establishment diverged in their considerations about the relevance of certain procedures established by the resolution in the routine of their activities, although at the same time there were favorable and consistent interpretations among the interviewees, independent of belonging or not to the same organization.

Abstract: approaching from the perspective of curriculum organization, the article examines the development of undergraduate research in dentistry. based on brazilian and international printed or electronic publications, the authors examine the institutionalization of higher education in dentistry, university reform, and the enactment of curriculum guidelines. from the earliest days of higher education in dentistry, there has been a concern with research. but brazil's university reform assigned research to graduate studies and scientific instruction to undergraduate studies. in recent years, curriculum guidelines have reconsidered the position of research and have recommended changes that allow research to be viewed as an educational principle.
O lugar da pesquisa na reorganiza??o curricular em odontologia: desafios de origem para um debate atual

Saúde e Sociedade , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-12902011000200015
Abstract: the study aims to characterize the space of research in curricular organization and to identify curricular reform trends in dentistry schools in the city of s?o paulo. methods: from the analysis of documents and interviews with professionals who are responsible for the undergraduate courses of the investigated institutions, the study describes the development of the curricular structure and the institutionalization of research; characterizes the didactic program involving the instruction of scientific methodology; and identifies the trends and perspectives of change in curricular organization. results: valuing the space of research, as recommended by brazil's curricular guidelines, the institutions provide scientific instruction in the dentistry undergraduate program and students are stimulated to get involved with research projects in the scope of the scientific initiation program, in the extra-curricular space. these measures attest efforts of curricular revision, in view of the legal recommendations, without reaching, however, the structuring of the curriculum based on teaching through research.

Abstract: the role of dietetic factors on food intake and body weight. obesity is a multifactorial pathology currently considered one of the main public health problems. its prevalence is increasing dramatically in the last decades, reaching huge rates in brazil and many other countries. regardless of the factors associated with genetic predisposition, this pathology is often associated with abnormal food intake, and also with high consumption of caloric foods and sedentary habits. thus, obesity is the result of an imbalance between food intake and energy expenditure. one of the greatest research interests in nutrition has currently been the dietetic determinants that may exert an influence on the process of food intake, as well as the role of foods on physiological, physical and chemical factors most related to the processes of satiation and satiety. based on these aspects, this paper analyzes several research works to gain a better insight of the dietetic factors affecting food intake and body weight regulation.
A influência do tra?o de personalidade neuroticismo na suscetibilidade às falsas memórias

Psicologia: Teoria e Pesquisa , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-37722006000300011
Abstract: false memories are recollections of events that in fact never happened. however, the question is which characteristics and personality traits could affect the susceptibility to this kind of memory distortion. the present study tested 150 college students to investigate the effect of the neuroticism personality trait (based on the five factor model) on the susceptibility to false memories. the factorial scale of emotional adjustment/neuroticism and the brazilian version of the lists of associated words procedure, containing words of neutral and emotional nature (positive and negative) were used to assess memory performance. our findings showed that individuals with high levels of neuroticism presented more false memories and a better remembrance forwords with negative emotional valence.
Decoherence and Initial Correlations in Quantum Brownian Motion
Lucianavila Romero,Juan Pablo Paz
Physics , 1996, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevA.55.4070
Abstract: We analyze the evolution of a quantum Brownian particle starting from an initial state that contains correlations between this system and its environment. Using a path integral approach, we obtain a master equation for the reduced density matrix of the system finding relatively simple expressions for its time dependent coefficients. We examine the evolution of delocalized initial states (Schr\"odinger's cats) investigating the effectiveness of the decoherence process. Analytic results are obtained for an ohmic environment (Drude's model) at zero temperature.

Revista Dental Press de Ortodontia e Ortopedia Facial , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S1415-54192007000600007
Abstract: aim: the purpose of this article was to determine the main reasons that motivate adult patients to seek for orthodontic treatment. methods: the sample comprised 70 adult individuals (44 females and 26 males) that were asked to answer a questionnaire with a list of possible complaints. descriptive statistics were obtained. results and conclusions: the findings showed that esthetics related to malpositioning of the upper incisors is the reason mostly associated to the search for orthodontic treatment. only a few patients (7% of the sample) indicated skeletal discrepancies as reason for treatment. symptoms of tmj appeared as the second reason.
Nd-Sr Isotopic Geochemistry and U-Pb Geochronology of the Fé Granitic Gneiss and Lajedo Granodiorite: Implications for Paleoproterozoic Evolution of the Mineiro Belt, Southern S o Francisco Craton, Brazil

Geologia USP : Série Científica , 2008,
Abstract: The Fé granitic gneiss and Lajedo granodiorite belong to a voluminous felsic-mafic plutonism, tectonically linked toPaleoproterozoic magmatic evolution of the Mineiro Belt, southern portion of the S o Francisco Craton, central-easternBrazil. The Fé pluton is located north of the Lenheiros shear zone and is intrusive with respect to the Rio das Mortesgreenstone belt and pyroxenite - gabbroic bodies, as indicated by xenoliths of gneiss and amphibolite, in the first case, andpyroxenite in the latter. The Lajedo granodiorite is located south of the Lenheiros shear zone and cuts the metamafic rocks ofthe Forro peridotite – pyroxenite and mafic and intermediate rocks of the Nazareno greenstone belt, as evidenced by xenolithsfrom the latter unit. The modal composition of the Fé granitic gneiss lies within the ranges of monzogranite and syenogranite. It is peraluminous and shows a large variation in K2O content, which implies a middle-K calc-alkaline to high-K calc-alkalinetendency. The Lajedo modal composition is consistent with granodioritic and tonalitic compositions. It indicates a predominantlyperaluminous composition and calc-alkaline character. The U-Pb zircon crystallization age of the Fé granitic gneiss is 2191± 9 Ma, whereas the Lajedo granodiorite yields 2208 ± 26 Ma. The Nd/Sr characteristics of the Fé and Lajedo plutons areconsistent with mixtures of enriched mantle (EMI-type), DMM and crustal components during magma genesis in a plutonicarc setting, while the low 87Sr/86Sri ratios point to contribution of mafic rock protoliths during magma genesis. This is also inaccordance with the characteristic xenoliths observed within the investigated plutons from the Nazareno and Rio das Mortesgreenstone belts. The Fé granitic gneiss and Lajedo granodiorite show tectonic characteristics which are comparable to thoseof nearby coeval plutons: Brito quartz-diorite (2221 ± 2 Ma), Brumado de Cima granodiorite (2219 ± 2 Ma), Brumado deBaixo granodiorite (2218 ± 3 Ma), Gloria quartz-monzodiorite (2188 ± 29 Ma), Cassiterita Trondhjemite/Tonalite (2162± 10 Ma), Rio Grande diorite (2155 ± 3 Ma), Brumado diorite (2131 ± 4 Ma) and Ritápolis granite (2121 ± 7 Ma). As a whole, the integrated data and geologic setting of the plutons in the Mineiro belt define a well-constrained pre- to syntectonic phaseof the Mineiro Belt to the period between 2221 and 2121 Ma.
