Abstract: The plant fatty acids are known to play a vital physiological role and to possess highly edible and industrial value. Pathways of fatty acid biosynthesis are complicated. A series of enzymes including acetyl_CoA carboxylase, fatty acid synthetase, fatty acid desaturase, and fatty acid elongase are involved. Recently, studies on pathways of fatty acid biosynthesis had made a great progress. Several related genes had been cloned. The mechanism of fatty acid synthesis had preliminarily been demonstrated. Moreover, manipulation of fatty acid biosynthesis using gene engineering had also been studied. This paper reviewed the recent progress of studies on biosynthesis and gene engineering of saturated fatty acids, unsaturated fatty acids, and very long chain fatty acids in plant.
Molecular Mechanisms of Phloem Transport and Defense

Abstract: Phloem is an important part of vascular system and plays a key role in material transportation, signal transmission, mechanical support and defense reaction. Recently, studies on material transportation and signal transmission, especially the mechanism of loading and unloading of carbonhydrates, had made a great progress basing upon establishing a series of experimental system and methods. Several specific genes from phloem had been cloned. The molecalar mechanism of phloem loading had also preliminarily been demonstrated. The anthors reviewed some related results and raised some problems that should be solved in the future.
Studies on Molecular Biology of Vasular Tissue Differentiation

Abstract: Tile studies on molecular biology of vascular tissue differentiation had made a great progress. In this paper, the authors reviewed some important studies on the regulation of differentiation, the specific expression of cell wall proteins and their genes, the synthesis of tubulin and lignin during the secondary thickening, some enzymes involved in the autolysis of cell contents, and some genes associated with the differentiation.
The Dynamic Changes of Auxin and the Histological Development of the Graft Union

Abstract: The dynamic changes of plant hormone (IAA) were monitored by using ELISA technology during the formation of graft union. The changes of IAA in the compatible graft are comparable to the incompatible graft at the early stages of development of graft union. Differring from decreasing rapidly in the incompatible graft, the curves of IAA showed a peak at the 8th day after grafting when the vascular bridges formed in the compatible graft.

Abstract: 高寒荒漠干旱区由于其独特的自然地理条件而使异常查证工作困难重重,效果不佳。对此种地区的异常查证工作,需采用非常规的方法,同时要对所查证异常的特征、异常区成矿控矿地质条件以及工作尺度和目的物尺度的充分研究后决定。在青海龙尾沟地区采用综合配套方法技术,以研究区1:5万红外遥感航片解译为先导,技术上采用X荧光测量与现场快速分析相结合,配合基础地质路线调查,达到了快速查证异常之目的。结果表明,本文提出的高寒荒漠干旱景观区异常查证的综合配套方法是有效的。在青海龙尾沟地区的找矿工作中取得了突破,在阿尔金山南缘首次发现了具有工业意义、具一定规模和较大资源潜力的铜、金矿(化)体。
Application of crosshole electromagnetic wave computerized tomography in inspection of pile foundation

Abstract: Nondestructive testing technique is often used for inspection of pile foundation engineering. It is difficult to making good evaluation effectiveness with usual explorative methods when the concrete have inhomogeneous defects of layers. This paper uses method of electromagnetic wave computerized tomography and compares it with low strain reflected wave method with an practical example. As the comparative result, we analyze the adaptability and the feasibility of this method to inspection of of pile foundation.
Objects recognition of ground penetrating radar in karst regions using wavelet energy spectrum analysis

Abstract: The frequency and amplitude characteristics derived from the Ground Penetrating Radar(GPR) data have been widely applied to object recognition in the karst area,but still meet some limitations.Here we present a new method using wavelet energy spectrum analysis.First we analyze the GPR signals of typical samples in the karst area and obtain their wavelet energy spectrum,which consist of the energy eigenvectors at different scales and frequency bands.Then the object recognition is achieved by comparing the characteristic energy spectrum with those of studied object.Both the data analysis and experiments demonstrate that the wavelet energy spectrum can directly show characteristics of object signals,which is very effective for the object recognition in the karst region from the GPR survey.

Abstract: 为了确定金矿采空区的位置,对其隐患进行治理,首次应用高精度重力方法.在研究区布设了两条比例尺为1∶100的高精度重力测量剖面,使用加拿大Scintrex公司的CG-5AutoGrav型重力仪, 测取重力异常数据,并采用欧拉反褶积方法实施反演解释,确定了采空塌陷区域及稳定地段.研究结果表明:高精度重力测量应用于金矿采空区探测是行之有效的,用欧拉反褶积方法解释重力异常数据是一种快速、高效、人为干预少的好方法.
Advances in the Expression of Foreign genes in Hansenula Polymorpha

Abstract: Hansenula polymorpha\% is a potential host for foreign gene expression,which has been applied widely in academic studying and industry application.It has a number of advantages of expressing genes derived from eukaryotic organisms,such as mitotically stable recombinant strains,faithful processing of the produced polypeptides,and high productivity \%et al.\%Numerous foreign proteins with high commercial value have been expressed successfully in \%H.polymorpha,\%among which some have been launched on the market.In this review,the favorable characteristics of this system for foreign gene production and new advances are described.
