Abstract: A compact dual-mode open stub-loaded resonator and bandpass filter (BPF) is proposed in this paper. The resonator, which is formed by attaching a disc-shaped open stub and circular open stubs in pairs to a high impedance microstrip line, generates two operating modes in the desired band, and the even-mode resonance frequency can be flexibly controlled by the disc-shaped open stub at central plane, whereas the odd-mode one is fixed. The four transmission zeros are created to sharpen the rejection skirt, suppress two high harmonic resonant modes and deepen upper-stopband, respectively. Experimental results of the dual-mode filter which incorporates this resonator with parallel-coupled feed line with tuning stub at 5.8 GHz show good agreement with the simulated ones. The size for the resonator is only 4.7 × 3.4 mm (0.29×0.21 in which is the guided wavelength of 50 Ω microstrip at 5.8 GHz).
Novel UWB BPF Using Quintuple-Mode Stub-Loaded Resonator

Abstract: In this letter, a novel compact UWB bandpass filter (BPF) with sharp rejection skirt is realized using quintuple-mode stub-loaded resonator. The resonator can generate three odd-modes and two even-modes in the desired band. By simply adjusting the lengths of open stubs in shunt and shortcircuited stubs, the first five resonant modes of the resonator can be roughly allocated within the 3.1-10.6 GHz UWB band meanwhile the sixth resonant mode in the upper-stopband can be suppressed. The pair of short stubs can generate two transmission zeros near the lower and upper cut-off frequencies, leading to a sharp rejection skirt. A quintuple-mode UWB BPF is designed and fabricated and the measured results demonstrate the feasibility of the design process.

Abstract: Novel compact microstrip quadruple-mode stub-loaded resonator and broadband bandpass filter (BPF) are proposed in this letter. As a starting part of designing a quadruple-mode broadband BPF, the initial novel triple-mode open impedance-stepped stub loaded resonator characteristic is investigated to choose its proper dimensions. Based on these pre-determined dimensions of the triple-mode resonator, two identical short-circuited stubs are loaded against the impedance-stepped open stubs in the resonator to generate a tuned resonant mode and a transmission zero in lower stopband which leads to a high rejection skirt. A compact broadband BPF with the quadruple-mode resonator is simulated, fabricated and measured. The measured results agree well with the EM simulations.

Abstract: In this paper, a novel compact wideband bandpass filter (BPF) is proposed using quadruple-mode resonator formed by attaching a short-circuited stub at the center plane and two identical impedance-stepped open stubs to high impedance microstrip line. The resonator can generate two even-modes , and two odd-modes , in the desired band. The even-mode resonant frequencies can be flexibly controlled by the short-circuited stub, whereas the odd-mode ones are fixed. When the open stubs are attached to the center plane nearby, they can be mainly applied to adjust , into desired passband as the high odd-mode and even-mode resonant frequencies are vulnerable to their electronic lengths. Two transmission zeros near the lower and upper cut-off frequencies are separately created by the short-circuited stub and interdigital feeding lines, leading to a high rejection skirt. A wideband BPF with the fractional bandwidth 64% is simulated, fabricated and measured. The measured results agree well with the EM simulations.
Automatic Discrimination of the Geographical Origins of Milks by Excitation-Emission Fluorescence Spectrometry and Chemometrics

Abstract: This paper presents the automatic discrimination of geographical origins of milks from Western Yunnan Plateau areas and eastern China by excitation-emission fluorescence spectrometry and chemometrics. Genuine plateau milks (=60) and milks from eastern China (=89) are scanned in the regions of 180–300 nm for excitation and 200–800 nm for emission. Different options of data analysis are investigated and compared in terms of their performance in discriminating milks of different geographical origins: (1) two-way partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLSDA) based on excitation and emission spectra, respectively; (2) two-way PLSDA based on fusion of excitation and emission spectra; (3) three-way PLSDA based on excitation-emission matrix spectra. The two-way PLSDA methods with excitation spectra, emission spectra, and fusion of excitation and emission spectra correctly classify 91.3%, 88.6%, and 95.3% of the milk samples, respectively; while the total accuracy of three-way PLSDA is 96.0%. The results demonstrate the two-way data combining excitation and emission spectra are sufficient to characterize and identify the plateau milks. Considering both model accuracy and the analytical time required, two-way PLS-DA with fusion of excitation and emission spectra is recommended as a reliable and quick method to discriminate plateau milks from ordinary milks.
Cross Antigenicity Test of Iron-regulated Outer Membrane Proteins (IROMPs) of Leporid Pasteurella multocida

Abstract: Leporid Pasteurella multocida strain JS, C51-2, C51-3 and C51-17 were cultured in iron-replete, iron-restricted and normal conditions respectively. The bacterium cells grown under above conditions were measured to characterize iron-regulated outer membrane proteins (IROMPs) by the Congo Red binding test, all tested strains showed greater binding to Congo Red in case of the expression of IROMPs. The SDS-PAGE patterns of OMP extracts of these four strains grown under the iron-rich, iron-restricted or normal conditions, demonstrated that the IROMPs of 147kD,135kD,99kD,94kD,82kD and 72kD were expressed when grown in iron-restricted media, other than in iron-replete and normal conditions. Murine serum antibodies against the whole-cell bacterin of strain C51-17 grown in normal condition, couldn't react with the IROMPs. The IROMP extracts from strain C51-17 could elicit the hosts to produce antibodies, and antibodies could react with the IROMPs of the four strains by western blots. The bands of 99kD, 94kD or 87.6kD IROMP had the common antigens among the four strains in higher titers by ELISA. It showed that the IROMP extracts from P. multocida grown in iron-restricted condition, maybe had the epitopes of cross-protected factors (CPFs).
Method for Micro-motion Target Recognition and Motion Parameter Extraction Based on Time-frequency Analysis

Abstract: Spatial motion feature is one of main target features for missile target identification. This paper investigates micro-motion of the missile target. Time-frequency analysis is used to extract micro-Doppler signature, based on which an approach is proposed for estimating the linear sum of the micro-Dopplers of scatters. Motion parameters can be extracted by applying Fourier Transform to the sum. Then waveform entropy is presented for the missile identification. The simulation results and the recognition results validate the effectiveness of theoretical analysis.
Audio zero-digital watermarking algorithm based on energy difference of wavelet coefficients

Abstract: An audio zero-digital watermarking algorithm based on energy difference of wavelet coefficients was proposed. Original audio signal was decomposed by wavelet transform. And the energy differences of the approximation coefficients and detail coefficients were collected and classified into two classes according to the relationship between the energy differences and the thresholds. In this way, the watermarks were embedded and extracted. The restoration of the linear scaling was used to resist the influence of the linear scaling on time axis. The experimental results show that this algorithm is robust to many operations and attacks on digital audio signal, such as low-pass filtering, re-sampling, re-quantifying, echo jamming and MPEG encoding.
