Gestión del nuevo milenio y programación neurolingüística (PNL)*
Manrique P,Helia Lizette;
Innovar , 2003,
Abstract: this article’s objective is to present reflection about the new role placed by people within organisations and the importance of companies developing this underused potential regarding human intelligence. a brief look at traditional approaches and concepts regarding humans’ roles is taken, coming to the conclusion that these models are not valid in a society of knowledge/learning because individuals who are reflexive, autonomous and able to use their own brains are required to ensure their competitiveness. the human-organisation relationship is described, emphasising the need for seeing people not as machines but as living human beings within a living organisation. neuro-linguistic programming is then emphasised as representing a tool leading to greater understanding of hums beings’ behaviour through communication and language.
El camino de los muertos: Relaciones intratextuales en los ritos nahuas de Velación de Cruz y Xantolo
Alegre González,Lizette;
Opción , 2004,
Abstract: this paper is based on ethno-musicological research done in the nahua community of chilocuil, tamán, in the tamazunchale municipality, san luis potosí located in the huasteca region (mexico). as part of the music performed by its habitants we find the vinuetes, a musical gender played in velación de cruz and xantolo, which are rituals related to the veneration of death. by considering these rituals as texts, this research hopes to understand the processes of musical signification by analyzing intratextual relations between the musical, the visual and the verbal languages.

Dressed in a Present from the Past The Transfers and Transformations of a Swedish Bridal Crown in the United States
Lizette Gradén
Culture Unbound : Journal of Current Cultural Research , 2010,
Abstract: Ever since the emigration from the Nordic countries the Old world and the New world have maintained an exchange of ideas, customs, and material culture. This cultural heritage consists of more than remnants of the past. Drawing on theories of material culture and performance this article highlights the role of gifts in mate-rializing relationships between individuals, families and organizations in the wake of migration. First, I build on a suggested coinage of the term heritage gifts as a way of materializing relationships. Thereafter, I map out the numerous roles which a Swedish bridal crown play in the United States: as museum object, object of display and loaned to families for wedding ceremonies in America. The trans-fers and transformations of the bridal crown enhances a drama of a migration her-itage. This dynamic drama brings together kin in Sweden and America and maps specific locations into a flexible space via the trajectory of crown-clad female bodies.

Journal of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering (MSCE) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/msce.2013.17002

Bamboo fibers were used as source to prepare cellulose hydrogel films for cell cultivation scaffold. The preparation of cellulose solutions was carried out by three different dissolving methods with NaOH-based and NaOH/urea aqueous solutions and DMAc/LiCl solution. Several hydrogel films were elaborated and their properties were compared to evaluate the effect of the dissolving method. It was found that tensile strength of the resultant hydrogel films increased from 21 to 66 N/mm2 when DMAc/LiCl was used instead of the NaOH/urea solution. The same tendency was observed in the obtained elongation values. Moreover, a remarkable difference in fibroblast cell cultivation was observed in higher cell density, when DMAc/LiCl method was used. The obtained results with DMAc/LiCl also were seen to be higher than the results for PS dish used as control. However, low cytocompatibility was observed when NaOH and NaOH/urea methods were used. The obtained results showed that hydrogel films elaborated with cellulose solution prepared with DMAc/LiCl method exhibited good cytocompatibility for the cell cultivation scaffold.

Estrategias de promoción turística a través de Facebook
Palabra Clave , 2012,
Abstract: the following study analyzes the contribution of social networks to promoting tourism in spain's provincial capitals and whether or not such networks truly represent a creative and new mode of understanding between municipal governments and citizens. with that objective in mind, it looks at how municipal authorities have developed different creative methods to communicate the touristic potential of cities through the internet, particularly with the advent of online social networks, and what a new window for expression has meant. the methodological proposal is intended to be useful for studies with similar features in other countries.
Plagiarism among undergraduate students in the Faculty of Applied Science at a South African Higher Education Institution
Mapule Patricia Sentleng,Lizette King
South African Journal of Libraries and Information Science , 2012, DOI: 10.7553/78-1-47
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate plagiarism among undergraduate students at a higher education institution in South Africa. This study investigated the awareness and causes of plagiarism among undergraduate first, second and third year students of the departments of Chemistry and Mathematical Technology within the Faculty of Applied Science at a university of technology. A quantitative research method was used. The results of the study confirm that student plagiarism is fairly common. The study shows that 41% of undergraduate students think that plagiarism is very serious, but plagiarism is still being practised within these departments. It was also found that 71.9% of students admit to using the Internet to compile their assignments. This implies that the Internet is the most possible source of plagiarism. Students also used books and journal articles as possible sources to plagiarise.

Abstract: Assessing the impact of virtual educational interface agents on adults with little or no computer skills Which characteristics should an interface agent have to ensure it being helpful? An interface agent must make a system effective, efficient and easy to use. The system being developed will help to accomplish this. We consider the most effective ways to present interface agents.

Palabra Clave , 2012,
