On consistency and ranking of alternatives in uncertain AHP  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper introduces uncertainty theory to deal with non-deterministic factors in ranking alternatives. The uncertain variable method (UVM) and the definition of consistency for uncertainty comparison matrices are proposed. A simple yet pragmatic approach for testing whether or not an uncertainty comparison matrix is consistent is put forward. In cases where an uncertainty comparison matrix is inconsistent, an algorithm is used to generate consistent matrix. And then the consistent uncertainty comparison matrix can derive the uncertainty weights. The final ranking is given by uncertainty weighs if they are acceptable; otherwise we rely on the ranks of expected values of uncertainty weights instead. Three numerical examples including a hierarchical (AHP) decision problem are examined to illustrate the validity and practicality of the proposed methods.
Dehazing for Image and Video Using Guided Filter  [PDF]

Abstract: Poor visibility in bad weather, such as haze and fog, is a major problem for many applications of computer vision. Thus, haze removal is highly required for receiving high performance of the vision algorithm. In this paper, we propose a new fast dehazing method for real-time image and video processing. The transmission map estimated by an improved guided filtering scheme is smooth and respect with depth information of the underlying image. Results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves good dehazeing effect as well as real-time performance. The proposed algorithm, due to its speed and ability to improve visibility, may be used with advantages as pre-processing in many systems ranging from surveillance, intelligent vehicles, to remote sensing.

Abstract: Financial ratio analysis is an analysis of a company’s financial statements, and it is vital for identifying negative and positive trends of a business over time. This article sets out to provide a detailed analysis of the financial performance of J Sainsbury plc and compare it with the performance of Tesco and Morrisons. From the data analysis, it can be shown that from 2015, the financial performance of J Sainsbury plc is improving with an increasing trend in its sales revenue and gross margin, while there is a decreasing trend in its return on assets (ROA), operating profit, pretax profit margin, finance cost and net profit. Compared to the other two companies in the same industry like Tesco and Morrisons, the performance of J Sainsbury plc is somewhat satisfactory. Finally, some recommendations on financial aspects, business environment and strategies are offered to enhance J Sainsbury plc’s performance and promote its sustainable development.

Abstract: Lubrication media of rock bit journal bearing is non-Newtonian fluid, and because of structure limitations, lubricant supply is only from the inside track and its rheological properties are relatively complex. In general studies, the non- Newtonianism of lubrication media of rock bit journal bearing is neglected to simplify the research process. Based on the universal Reynolds equation of non-Newton media, the mathematical model of lubrication analysis was suitable for the rock bit bearing working conditions was established. Then according to the experimental results of rheological properties of RB-type lubricating grease, the equivalent viscosity of the model was established and this model can be solved by the method used in solving the Reynolds equation of Newton fluid.

Abstract: The sudden disasters often cause serious consequences; the research on emergency decision becomes a focus, and emergency collaborative decision-making is becoming a hot spot. Sudden disasters emergency behavior usually involves many departments, so it is necessary to evaluate and select the cooperative decision-makers in the process of collaborative decision-making, the appropriate cooperative decision-makers play an important role in the emergency rescue operation. Based on this, we analyze emergency collaborative decision-making subject influence factors under the sudden disaster, and design the index system for the Evaluation and Selection of emergency collaborative decision-makers, and solve the evaluation model by the method of multi-attribute group decision-making.

Abstract: In real Hilbert space H, from an arbitrary initial point x0 ¢ H, an explicit iteration scheme is defined as follows: xn+1= ±nxn+(1 ¢ ’ ±n)T n+1xn,n ¢ ‰ ¥0, where T n+1xn=Txn ¢ ’ n+1 F(Txn), T:H ¢ ’H is a nonexpansive mapping such that F(T)={x ¢ K:Tx=x} is nonempty, F:H ¢ ’H is a ·-strongly monotone and k-Lipschitzian mapping, { ±n} ¢ (0,1), and { n} ¢ [0,1). Under some suitable conditions, the sequence {xn} is shown to converge strongly to a fixed point of T and the necessary and sufficient conditions that {xn} converges strongly to a fixed point of T are obtained.
