Abstract: A time delay equation for sea-air oscillator model is studied. The aim is to create an asymtotic solving method of nonlinear equation for the ENSO model. And based on a class of oscillators of ENSO model, employing the variational iteration method, the approximate solution of corresponding problem is obtained. It is proven from the results that the method of variational iteration method can be used for analyzing the sea surface temperature anomaly in the equatorial eastern Pacific of the atmosphere-ocean oscillation for ENSO model.

Abstract:

The SnO2 spheres-like nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized by a microwave solvothermal method, in which SnCl2·2H2O, poly(vinylpyrrolidone) PVP, H2O2 and NaOH as raw materials. The as-synthesized products have been characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, and UV/Vis/NIR spectrophotometer. Photocatalytic activities of the samples have been evaluated by the degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) under UV-light illumination. Results showed that these products with diameter about 1 - 2 μm, and when the reaction time prolong, the surface of the SnO2 spheres will change to rough and then smooth when the time even longer. The product with nanorods on its surface shows the higher photocatalytic activity and red shift in the UV-vis absorption, which are relative to the unique structure. At last we studied the electron transfer reactions during photo-oxidation of RhB.

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to measure dependence risk of fund market with copulas in China. Firstly, we introduce several common copula functions, then estimate parameters of copula function, and discuss how to select the optimal copula function. Finally, according to Shanghai and Shenzhen fund data, empirical analysis was done. Different combinations of risk values were obtained.

Abstract: In this paper, a SVM classifier based on S-Transform is presented for power quality disturbances classification. Firstly, seven types of PQ events are created using Matlab simulation. These signals are analyzed to detect and localize PQ events via S-Transform by visual inspection. Then five significant features of the PQ disturbances are extracted from the S-Transform output. Afterwards, PQ disturbance samples with the five features are fed to SVM for training and automatic classification. Besides, particle swarm optimization is implemented to improve the performance of SVM. The results of the classification indicate that SVM classifier is an effective mechanism to detect and classify power quality disturbances.

Abstract: Rod-like structures composed of actin and the actin-binding protein cofilin are found in Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients. However, the mechanisms underlying formation of these structures and their pathological consequences are still largely unknown. We found that microRNAs 103 and 107 repress translation of cofilin, and that reduced levels of miR-103 or miR-107 are associated with elevated cofilin protein levels and formation of rod-like structures in a transgenic mouse model of AD. These results suggest that microRNAs may play an important role in cytoskeletal pathology in AD.

Abstract: We have obtained simultaneous thermoluminescence (TL) and thermally Stimulated current (TSC) spectra in two types of polyamide film, such as nylons 6 and 11 under study of electron detrapping and recombination. There are three main relaxation peaks or regions, designated γ,β and α in order of increasing temperature in the TSC spectra, in contrast, a high temperature relaxation peak in TL spectra disappears. The centers or peaks of these relaxation regions are located at near 180, 230 and 310 K, respectively, deviating±10 K. However. we also observed two anomalous phenomena: first, a very large, short-circuited, thermally stimulated discharge current (TSDC) up to 10-8 A, but reversible in direction for non-polarized nylons 6 and 11, even after several times repeatedly; secondly, no TL signal except for non-polarized nylon 6 film.
