Exercícios de conten o, satura o e reitera o: algumas aproxima es entre Bruce Nauman e Samuel Beckett Exercises of restraint, saturation, and suppression: some approximations between Bruce Nauman and Samuel Beckett

ARS (S?o Paulo) , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/s1678-53202011000200011
Departing from some aspects suggested by Slow Angle Walk (Beckett Walk), 1968, one of Bruce Nauman's first videos shot in his atelier, this essay aims at examining some formal and thematic convergences between Nauman's procedures in a motley universe of works and in Samuel Beckett's pieces, particularly the use of repetition, suppression and restraint as fundamental mechanisms to promote some sort of saturation of experience, leading to depletion, by means of an exhaustive recombination of a few elements.
Mini OPCAB Mammary to Left Anterior Descending Artery  [PDF]
Federico Benetti, Natalia Scialacomo
Surgical Science (SS) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/ss.2017.89044
Abstract: Introduction: Here we will describe the actual surgical technique to perform the left mammary artery bypass to the left anterior descending artery, and the results of this operation in the Benetti Foundation in the last 20 years. Materials and Methods: The inclusion criteria for this operation were patients with a demonstrated predominant ischemia by functional test. In the patients with double, triple vessels disease or left main, the age was more than 65 years or and Euro score Risk of surgery of more than 4. The exclusion criteria were patients with more areas of ischemia and lesions that involved a considerable territory apart from the Lad and good candidates for surgery are younger than 65 years or the Euro score Risk of surgery were less than 4. Seventy patients were operated in the Foundation through LIMA to LAD Anastomosis with the MINI OPCABG technique. The average Preoperative Risk Euroscore was 3,5. Surgical Technique after open the lower part of the sternum, the left mammary artery is dissected around 8 cm. The pericardium is open and the mammary is connected to the left anterior descending. Results: Operative mortality in this series was 0%. One patient was converted to sternotomy Off Pump (1, 4%). None of the grafts were revised after the measure with the Medistim System. 55 (79%) were extubated in the operating room. The average Hospitalization stay were 60 hours (D +_17 ci 95%), 16 patients with Lima to LAD were restudied in the initially experience with 100% patency, at 144 months, 82% of the patients were alive and 68% asymptomatic. Conclusion: More clinical experience is important to find the definitive indications of this technique; and better technologies are required to be able to standardize this operation in definitive form.
EL PROBLEMA DE LA VARIACIóN DE LOS PRECIOS: LOS LíMITES DE LA TEORíA WALRASIANA
Benetti,Carlo;
Cuadernos de Economía , 2001,
Abstract: this paper propases a general equilibrium model in all respects identical to the walrasian one, except that it includes a mechanism by which prices change endogeneously. in this model the walrasian auctioneer is eliminated and, consequently the problem put forward by k. arrow is sol ved without introducing imperfect competition. this model also shows that the simple and deterministic rule of price change according to the law of supply and demand, which is exogeneous in the standard general equilibrium theory, is logically related to the walrasian price taker individual behaviour. these two properties of the walrasian model depend on particular and very restrictive conditions.
Condicionamento físico aplicado a doen?as cardiovasculares
Benetti, Magnus;
Revista Brasileira de Medicina do Esporte , 1997, DOI: 10.1590/S1517-86921997000100006
Abstract: bearing in mind the relevance of cardiovascular disease prevention, this article aims at the discussion of some relative aspects of primary and secondary cardiac prevention based on a specific physical conditioning program. the practice of regular physical activity is used both for prevention and for rehabilitation of cardiovascular diseases. a good physical conditioning program produces chronic physiological changes in the cardiovascular and neurovegetative systems, and on hormonal secretions, providing for expressive changes in the prevention, estabilization, and even regression of cardiopathic degeneration conditions. supervision of the patient during a physical conditioning session is essential, as the incidence of cardiovascular complications is higher in these patients than in apparently healthy adults; this is a way of safeguarding the safety and quality of the program. an important aspect is the need to customize exercise prescription, both in primary prevention and in the three secondary prevention phases. this prescription should respect the principles of physical training and the basic components of the program: frequency and duration, which are absolute values, and intensity, which is the critical factor, as prescriptions involve factors such as sex, age, and physical fitness differences
