Interaction Mechanism and Strategy of Brand Relationship and Brand Extension  [PDF]
He Liu, Lili Fan
Open Journal of Business and Management (OJBM) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ojbm.2013.13008
Abstract: As new products are generally difficult to be accepted by consumers, and the cost of initial market introduction is high, enterprises often choose to do market extension of an existing brand. Simultaneously, a successful brand extension can enhance the reputation of the original brand, and expand the brand value. But how can enterprise take a good brand extension? Through establishment of a dynamic model of brand extension under the brand relationship context, investigating the interaction mechanism between brand relationship and extension, and base on that, we developed a strategy model of interaction and improvement of brand relationship and brand extension.
Atlas-Guided Quantification of White Matter Signal Abnormalities on Term-Equivalent Age MRI in Very Preterm Infants: Findings Predict Language and Cognitive Development at Two Years of Age
Lili He, Nehal A. Parikh
PLOS ONE , 2013, DOI: 10.1371/journal.pone.0085475
Abstract: The developmental significance of the frequently encountered white matter signal abnormality (WMSA) findings on MRI around term-equivalent age (TEA) in very preterm infants, remains in question. The use of conventional qualitative analysis methods is subjective, lacks sufficient reliability for producing accurate and reproducible WMSA diagnosis, and possibly contributes to suboptimal neurodevelopmental outcome prediction. The advantages of quantitative over qualitative diagnostic approaches have been widely acknowledged and demonstrated. The purpose of this study is to objectively and accurately quantify WMSA on TEA T2-weighted MRI in very preterm infants and to assess whether such quantifications predict 2-year language and cognitive developmental outcomes. To this end, we constructed a probabilistic brain atlas, exclusively for very preterm infants to embed tissue distributions (i.e. to encode shapes, locations and geometrical proportion of anatomical structures). Guided with this atlas, we then developed a fully automated method for WMSA detection and quantification using T2-weighted images. Computer simulations and experiments using in vivo very preterm data showed very high detection accuracy. WMSA volume, particularly in the centrum semiovale, on TEA MRI was a significant predictor of standardized language and cognitive scores at 2 years of age. Independent validation of our automated WMSA detection algorithm and school age follow-up are important next steps.

Open Journal of Pathology (OJPathology) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ojpathology.2013.31004

Primary cutaneous marginal zone B-cell lymphoma (MZL) is considered a cutaneous counterpart of extranodal MZL of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue and an indolent lymphoma. Amyloid deposition in this tumor is very rare. We report here a case of primary cutaneous MZL with massive amyloid deposition. The tumor disseminated to the dura and mimicked primary dural MZL. The patient had a four year history of the recurrence cutaneous lesions with a misdiagnosis of amyloidosis. The correct diagnosis was made after the metastatic dural lesion was confirmed by radiology, pathology and molecular biology approaches. It is of crucial importance for differential diagnosis to avoid misdiagnosis and the patients are indeed required long-term regular examinations and treatment because of the possibility of recurrence or dissemination.

Active Vibration Control of Piezoelectric Intelligent Structures
Jingjun Zhang,Lili He,Ercheng Wang
Journal of Computers , 2010, DOI: 10.4304/jcp.5.3.401-409
Abstract: The study of the applications of piezoelectric materials in the active vibration control of flexible structures has been ongoing for more than a decade. Based on the Linear Quadratic Gauss (LQG) optimal control method, the paper introduces an effective procedure to suppress the vibration of flexible structures with the sensors/actuators are symmetrically collocated on both sides of the same position on the host structure. The model of a piezoelectric intelligent cantilever beam is built by the application of ANSYS software, and through the modal analysis, the first 4 ranks of modal frequencies and vibration shapes are extracted. The D-optimal design principle is adopted which is an optimal method which chosen by the maximum determinant of Fisher Information Matrix as the criteria function. Studies on the modal vibration shapes and dynamic characteristics of the structure, and converts the selected modes into a unitary form by a simple method, the optimal position of the piezoelectric elements can be confirmed by the mode shapes of the structures. Finally, the paper takes a piezoelectric cantilever beam as an example and gives the step response
Coping Strategies as a Mediator of Posttraumatic Growth among Adult Survivors of the Wenchuan Earthquake
Lili He, Jiuping Xu, Zhibin Wu
PLOS ONE , 2013, DOI: 10.1371/journal.pone.0084164
Abstract: Objective By testing the mediating effect of coping strategies on the relationship between social support (SS) and posttraumatic growth (PTG), the aim of this research was to develop a new approach for the study of post-disaster psychological intervention. Methods A mediating effect model analysis was conducted on 2080 adult survivors selected from 19 of the counties hardest-hit by the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake. The Social Support Rating Scale and the Coping Scale were used to predict the PTG. Results A bivariate correlation analysis showed that there was a correlation between posttraumatic growth, social support and coping strategies. The mediation analysis revealed that coping strategies played a mediating role between social support and posttraumatic growth in survivors after the earthquake. Conclusion The results demonstrated that mental health programs for survivors need to focus on the establishment of a good social support network, which was found to be conductive to maintaining and increasing mental health levels. At the same time, adequate social support is able to assist survivors in adopting mature coping strategies, such as problem solving and asking for help. Hence, social support was found to play a vital role in balancing and protecting mental health.

Business English Translation Strategies in the Perspective of Skopos: In the Case of Advertisement Translation  [PDF]
Lili Zhang
Open Journal of Modern Linguistics (OJML) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ojml.2016.63026
Abstract: Skopos theory for a long time remains the core of Functional School of translation. The major principle of Skopos theory is that translation should be processed from the perspective of the intended audiences. Its major theory structure makes it as the guiding principle of business English translation which requires communicative and social textual equivalence. Based on the analysis of Skopos theory and business English translation features, this paper focuses on developing business English translation strategies, particularly in the case of advertisement translation. It aims to play a positive role in promoting the research and practice of business English translation.

Lili Zhang
Advances in Literary Study (ALS) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/als.2016.43007
Abstract: The functional theory of translation, with Skopostheorie as a core, advocates that the translation process should not only be based upon equivalence but more importantly upon the prospective functions or Skopos of the target text. Translation errors study was also put forward and carried out as a result. Based on the explanation of this translation theory, this paper makes a thorough analysis of business English translation errors, with the major reasons raised and corresponding solutions and strategies presented. Besides shedding lights on the theoretical study of translation in this field, the analysis aims to play a positive role in improving the substantial quality of business English translation in practice.
