Performance Research on Magnetotactic Bacteria Optimization Algorithm with the Best Individual-Guided Differential Interaction Energy  [PDF]

Magnetotactic bacteria optimization algorithm (MBOA) is a new optimization algorithm inspired by the characteristics of magnetotactic bacteria, which is a kind of polyphyletic group of prokaryotes with the characteristics of magnetotaxis that make them orient and swim along geomagnetic field lines. The original Magnetotactic Bacteria Optimization Algorithm (MBOA) and several new variants of MBOA mimics the interaction energy between magnetosomes chains to obtain moments for solving problems. In this paper, Magnetotactic Bacteria Optimization Algorithm with the Best Individual-guided Differential Interaction Energy (MBOA-BIDE) is proposed. We improved interaction energy calculation by using the best individual-guided?differential interaction energy formation. We focus on analyzing the performance of different parameters settings. The experiment results show that the proposed algorithm is sensitive to parameters settings on some functions.

An overview of reclaimed water reuse in China

Abstract: China is facing severe water problems including scarcity and pollution which are now becoming key factors restricting developments. Creating an alternative water resource and reducing effluent discharges, water reuse has been recognized as an integral part of water and wastewater management scheme in China. The government has launched nationwide efforts to optimize the benefits of utilizing reclaimed water. This article reviewed the water reuse activities in China, including: (1) application history and current status; (2) potentials of reclaimed water reuse; (3) laws, policies and regulations governing reclaimed water reuse; (4) risks associated with reclaimed water reuse; (5) issues in reclaimed water reuse. Reclaimed water in Beijing and Tianjin were given as examples. Suggestions for improving the efficiencies of reusing urban wastewater were advanced. Being the largest user of reclaimed wastewater in the world, China's experience can benefit the development of water reuse in other regions.

Abstract: Skopos theory for a long time remains the core of Functional School of translation. The major principle of Skopos theory is that translation should be processed from the perspective of the intended audiences. Its major theory structure makes it as the guiding principle of business English translation which requires communicative and social textual equivalence. Based on the analysis of Skopos theory and business English translation features, this paper focuses on developing business English translation strategies, particularly in the case of advertisement translation. It aims to play a positive role in promoting the research and practice of business English translation.

Abstract: The functional theory of translation, with Skopostheorie as a core, advocates that the translation process should not only be based upon equivalence but more importantly upon the prospective functions or Skopos of the target text. Translation errors study was also put forward and carried out as a result. Based on the explanation of this translation theory, this paper makes a thorough analysis of business English translation errors, with the major reasons raised and corresponding solutions and strategies presented. Besides shedding lights on the theoretical study of translation in this field, the analysis aims to play a positive role in improving the substantial quality of business English translation in practice.

Abstract: Compared with the in-place pile, the pore-forming pouring pile is more simple and convenient, with a wider range of construction. In the actual construction process, it is able to pass through complex bottom layer and water layer underground without very high requirements in equipment. The actual bearing capacity of single pile is very strong, so that it can be better to adapt to the actual needs of different scales or the different geological conditions in building. And it has been promoted and used greatly in building construction work [1]. This paper introduces the concept of the pore-forming pouring pile technology, analyzes the pore-forming construction technology and the pile construction technology, then talks about prevention problems of the pore-forming pouring pile construction in House Building Project, at last draws a conclusion that the pore-forming pouring pile technology is the most basic construction technology and is the most effective and convenient way of construction.

Abstract: After the Opinions of the State Council on Solving Problems of Migrant Workers is carried out, the migrant workers’ situation has been improved, especially that their income has been increased greatly, the problem of wages in arrears has been abated, and the services provided by the government have been enhanced. However, some basic problems such as the migrant workers’ low income and difficult life have not been changed fundamentally. Thus, in order to carry out all of the policies of solving migrant workers’ problems, we should promote the institutional innovation, increase related investment, and gradually eliminate the institutional and financial obstacles of the citizenization of migrant workers; only in these ways can we solve the migrant workers’ problems.
The Vasorelaxant Mechanisms of a Rho Kinase Inhibitor DL0805 in Rat Thoracic Aorta

Abstract: Rho-kinase has been suggested as a potential therapeutic target in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The Rho-kinase signaling pathway is substantially involved in vascular contraction. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the vasorelaxant effects of Rho kinase inhibitor DL0805 in isolated rat aortic rings and to investigate its possible mechanism(s). It was found that DL0805 exerted vasorelaxation in a dose-dependent manner in NE or KCl-induced sustained contraction and partial loss of the vasorelaxation under endothelium-denuded rings. The DL0805-induced vasorelaxation was significantly reduced by the nitric oxide synthase inhibitor Nω-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester, the guanylate cyclase inhibitor methylene blue and the cyclooxygenase inhibitor indomethacin. The voltage-dependent K+ channel blocker 4-aminopyridine remarkably attenuated DL0805-induced relaxations. However, the ATP-sensitive K+ channel blocker glibenclamide and Ca2+-activated K+ channel blocker tetraethylammonium did not affect the DL0805-induced relaxation. In the endothelium-denuded rings, DL0805 also reduced NE-induced transient contraction and inhibited contraction induced by increasing external calcium. These findings suggested that DL0805 is a novel vasorelaxant compound associated with inhibition of Rho/ROCK signaling pathway. The NO-cGMP pathway may be involved in the relaxation of DL0805 in endothelium-intact aorta. The vasorelaxant effect of DL0805 is partially mediated by the opening of the voltage-dependent K+ channels.
Structure of polysaccharides from mycelium and culture medium of Phellinus nigricans using submerged fermentation

Abstract: Two water-soluble polysaccharides, PNW1 and PNM1, were respectively isolated from the mycelium and its culture medium of Phellinus nigricans using submerged fermentation before determining their effects on inhibiting the growth of transplantable tumors in mice. The results of the pharmaceutical experiments showed that oral administration of PNW1 and PNM1 (at a dose of 400 mg/kg) inhibited the growth of tumor of mice-transplanted Sarcoma 180 in vivo. Moreover, a higher inhibition ratio of PNW1 (74.70%) was obtained as compared with PNM1 (55.84%). The averaged molecular weight of PNW1 and PNM1 was determined to be 33 and 29 kD, respectively. Both PNW1 and PNM1 were consisted of glucose, galactose, mannose, arabinose and fucose. The major structural features of PNW1 and PNM1 were elucidated using partial acid hydrolysis, periodate oxidation, Smith degradation, 13C-NMR, methylation and GC-MS. On the basis of these results, the repeating units of PNW1 and PNM1 were established.
