Evaluation of Influence of Acupuncture and Electro-Acupuncture for Blood Perfusion of Stomach by Laser Doppler Blood Perfusion Imaging

Abstract: The objective of this study is to observe effects of acupuncture and electro-acupuncture (EA) on blood perfusion in the stomach, and probe into the application of laser Doppler blood perfusion imaging technique in the study of the effect of acupuncture and moxibustion on the entrails. In the acupuncture group of 20 rats, acupuncture was given at “Zusanli” (ST 36) and in EA group of 18 rats, EA was applied at “Zusanli” (ST 36), with 18 rats without acupuncture used as control group. Changes of blood perfusion and microcirculation distribution in the stomach were investigated with laser Doppler blood perfusion imager (LDPI). The laser Doppler blood perfusion image could clearly display changes of blood flow distribution in the stomach before and after acupuncture. After acupuncture or EA was given at “Zusanli” (ST 36), the blood perfusion in the stomach increased significantly, the blood perfusion in the blood vessels and microcirculation of other parts significantly increased, and the maximum increase of the blood perfusion was found at 10 min after acupuncture or EA, with increases of 0.50 _ 0.11 (PU) and 0.66 _ 0.16 (PU), respectively, and the blood perfusion still kept at a higher degree within 10 min after ceasing of the acupuncture or EA. While the blood perfusion in the stomach in the rat of the control group tended to gradual decrease. It has been concluded that both acupuncture and EA can increase blood perfusion in the stomach, the EA having stronger action, and LDPI can display the regulative action of acupuncture on the blood vessel of the stomach by using an image.

Abstract: 遵循发生学认识论和方法,就绿洲概念研究的“中心问题”进行了分析探讨。通过对绿洲的景观特征与生产力特征之间的关系分析,提出绿洲概念研究的“中心问题”是绿洲的景观特征与生产力特征二者的关系,而不是这两个特征本身,更非片面地或简单地强调这两个特征中的某一个;生产力特征是绿洲在功能上具有决定性作用的本质特征,景观特征是在结构上具有辅助性作用的表象特征。因此,科学的绿洲概念应该体现出这一点。

Abstract: Because of all the known integrable models possess Schwarzian forms with M\"obious transformation invariance, it may be one of the best way to find new integrable models starting from some suitable M\"obious transformation invariant equations. In this paper, the truncated Painlev\'e analysis is used to find high dimensional Schwarzian derivatives. Especially, a three dimensional Schwarzian derivative is obtained explicitly. The higher dimensional higher order Schwarzian derivatives which are invariant under the M\"obious transformations may be expressed by means of the lower dimensional lower order ones. All the known Schwarzian derivatives can be used to construct high dimensional Painlev\'e integrable models.
New variable separation approach: application to nonlinear diffusion equations

Abstract: The concept of the derivative-dependent functional separable solution, as a generalization to the functional separable solution, is proposed. As an application, it is used to discuss the generalized nonlinear diffusion equations based on the generalized conditional symmetry approach. As a consequence, a complete list of canonical forms for such equations which admit the derivative-dependent functional separable solutions is obtained and some exact solutions to the resulting equations are described.

Abstract: Genipin is the bioactive compound of geniposide and a natural cross-linking agent. In order to improve the preparation process of genipin, the hydrolysis of geniposide to genipin by immobilized β-glucosidase in an aqueous-organic two-phase system was studied. β-Glucosidase was immobilized by the crosslinking-embedding method using sodium alginate as the carrier. The optimum reaction temperature, pH value and time were 55 °C, 4.5 and 2.5 h, respectively. To reduce genipin hydrolysis and byproduct production the reaction was carried out in an aqueous-organic two-phase system comprising ethyl acetate and sodium acetate buffer. The product was analyzed by HPLC, UV, IR, and NMR. The yield of genipin was 47.81% and its purity was over 98% (HPLC).

Abstract: This paper studies variable separation of the evolution equations via the generalized conditional symmetry. To illustrate, we classify the extended nonlinear wave equation utt=Au,uxuxx+Bu,ux,ut which admits the derivative-dependent functional separable solutions DDFSSs). We also extend the concept of the DDFSS to cover other variable separation approaches.

Abstract: In this paper, a method for automatic word sense disambiguation based on logarithm model (LM) is discussed, and a word sense disambiguation system LM_WSD is implemented. In the experiments, four models are used to word sense disambiguation. Experiments showed the effect of high-frequency sense, salient words, specialized field and general usage to noun and verb word sense disambiguation. Now the system LM_WSD was applied in a word based English-Chinese machine translation system for car fittings field, and improved the performance of the system.
Miniaturized Dual-Mode Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) Band-Pass Filters Loaded by Double/Single T-Shaped Structures

Abstract: A new class of miniaturized dual-mode substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) band-pass filters is proposed, which are loaded by double/single T-shaped structures. By introducing a double T-shaped structure in original dual-mode SIW band-pass filter, the resonant frequency is lowered from 9.46 GHz to 8.91 GHz due to the longer effective length. The introduced single T-shaped structure performs an even lower resonant frequency of 6.88 GHz for the same reason. Compared with dual-mode band-pass filters in references, the proposed dual-mode SIW band-pass filters with double/single T-shaped structures have the advantages such as compact size (like microstrip dual-mode filters) and high Q factors (like SIW dual-mode filters). The proposed filters are fabricated and measured, and the experimental results are in good agreement with simulated ones.
Water Quality Analysis of the Songhua River Basin Using Multivariate Techniques  [PDF]

Abstract: Multivariate statistical techniques, including cluster analysis (CA), principal component analysis (PCA), factor analysis (FA) and discriminant analysis (DA), were used to evaluate temporal and spatial variations and to interpret a large and complex water quality data sets collected from the Songhua River Basin. The data sets, which contained 14 parameters, were generated during the 7-year (1998-2004) monitoring program at 14 different sites along the rivers. Three significant sampling locations (less polluted sites, moderately polluted sites and highly polluted sites) were detected by CA method, and five latent factors (organic, inor-ganic, petrochemical, physiochemical, and heavy metals) were identified by PCA and FA methods. The re-sults of DA showed only five parameters (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, ammonia nitrogen, and nitrate nitrogen) and eight parameters (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, biochemical oxygen demand, ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, volatile phenols and total arsenic) were necessarily in temporal and spatial varia-tions analysis, respectively. Furthermore, this study revealed the major causes of water quality deterioration were related to inflow of effluent from domestic and industrial wastewater disposal.
