Rincones de arica o urbanidad intercultural
Leyla Noriega Zegarra
Urbano , 2006,
Zegarra Zegarra,Rosario;
Idesia (Arica) , 2006, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-34292006000300002
Abstract: although the southern peru and northern chile coastal desert formations represent one of the driest deserts of the world they allow the development and reproduction of more than 200 phanerogamic plant species. this south american desertic flora is particularly rare and very interesting under taxonomic, ecological, and fisiogenetic point of view. as a result of an intensive and continuous evolution under the very hard growing conditions, this special desertic vegetation have become adapted and tolerant to the most common abiotic stress of the arid and hiperarid agroecological zones, conspicuously displaying tolerance to drought, salinity, boron toxicity and others stress. dry botanical seeds shet to the ground after very short growing period and early flowering by several desertic species surprisinly remain viable in the hot sandy desert for more than five, ten and even twenty years. the occasional occurrence of a favorable winter weather conditions with a very dense and low fog dampens the sandy soils of coastal plains and hills allowing the germination, development and fast reproduction of this particular vegetation. in some places the cycles on loma vegetation can be every year, or every five, ten, twenty or more years in a mysterious timing combinations of favorable climatic conditions and loma formations. in the paper, the writer describes eleven species of nolana (nolanaceae) which are mainly endemic of the loma formation of southern peru desert.

IDESIA , 2006,
Although the southern Peru and northern Chile coastal desert formations represent one of the driest deserts of the world they allow the development and reproduction of more than 200 phanerogamic plant species. Global 1 Estimation of the Cauchy Problem Solutions to the Navier-Stokes Equation  [PDF]
Asset Durmagambetov, Leyla Fazilova
Applied Mathematics (AM) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/am.2014.513184
Abstract:

The analytic properties of the scattering amplitude are discussed, and a representation of the potential is obtained using the scattering amplitude. A uniform time estimation of the Cauchy problem solution for the Navier-Stokes equations is provided. The paper also describes the time blowup of classical solutions for the Navier-Stokes equations by the smoothness assumption.

The Study of Optoacoustic First and Second Sound Waves in Superfluid Helium under the Effect of Gaussian Laser Light Considering Electrostriction Mechanism  [PDF]
Leyla Safaei Kouchaksaraei
Journal of Modern Physics (JMP) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/jmp.2015.67089
Abstract: The present paper is aimed to study the effect of Gaussian laser light on first and second sound waves in superfluid helium theoretically using optoacoustic method. The mechanism applied in this study is electrostriction mechanism. This study considers crystal parts of superfluid helium with a zero absorption coefficient applying electrostriction mechanism. Affecting Gaussian laser light on these crystal parts, a spectrum of cylindrical first and second sound waves and cylindrical slow and rapid waves is obtained. Meanwhile, frequency of waves amplitudes proportionate to time period of laser light is calculated.
Workplace Dyslexia & Specific Learning Difficulties—Productivity, Engagement and Well-Being  [PDF]
Janette Beetham, Leyla Okhai
Open Journal of Social Sciences (JSS) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/jss.2017.56007
Abstract: This study is the first of its kind in the area of workplace dyslexia/neuro-divergence (in that it is temporal & focuses on one employing organisation) and it aims to support other organisations to learn and improve their businesses and their employees experience of working within their organisations. The report documents an ongoing temporal study of the work being undertaken at one of the worlds leading global universities to provide tailored support to their neuro-divergent members of staff (i.e. those with dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia & ADD/ADHD). Both qualitative and quantitative data have been collected to reflect the impact of having a clear & “accessible” process for obtaining support as well as having delivery which, although consistent in approach, is tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual. Neuro-divergent “conditions” are thought to affect approximately 18% of the population however whilst a largely inaccurate view of the associated difficulties exists; there is also a regrettable lack of understanding & appreciation of the strengths these processing differences can bring to business and society. Also, many of these individuals are either unaware that the challenges they may be experiencing are associated with a “processing difference” or, if they do know, they can be fearful of disclosure which, on both counts, results in many not accessing appropriate support and therefore not reaching their full potential. (“Individuals report fear of disclosure because of victimisation by the employer or bullying of workmates” [1].)
Railroads in Peru: How Important Were They?
Zegarra,Luis Felipe;
Desarrollo y Sociedad , 2011,
Abstract: this paper analyzes the evolution and main features of the railway system of peru in the 19th and early 20th centuries. from mid-19th century railroads were considered a promise for achieving progress. several railroads were then built in peru, especially in 1850-75 and in 1910-30. with the construction of railroads, peruvians saved time in travelling and carrying freight. the faster service of railroads did not necessarily come at the cost of higher passenger fares and freight rates. fares and rates were lower for railroads than for mules, especially for long distances. however, for some routes (especially for short distances with many curves), the traditional system of llamas remained as the lowest pecuniary cost (but also slowest) mode of transportation.
Línea de pobreza y salarios, 1913-1925. Una primera aproximación

Revista Economía , 2011,
Abstract: This article relies on linear programming to calculate the extreme poverty line between 1913 and 1925. Using several sources, I estimate the minimum amount of income that a family had to earn in order to afford its basic feeding needs. Our estimations indicate that the minimum basket of foodstuff was afforded with a little more than a sol per day before the First World War, and that the cost of such basket increased to more than twice toward the end of the war. A comparison with the salaries of the period indicates that in Lima a large number of workers could afford the basket of basic foodstuff of their families, especially if more than one member of the family received wages; but that such ability largely declined by the end of the 1910s Este artículo utiliza la metodología de programación lineal para calcular la línea de pobreza extrema entre 1913 y 1925.
Abstract: This article analyses the expositions that the journalist Dora Mayer did regarding the “indigenous question” and the Peruvian nation, in a stage of deep social conflicts that take place in a context of economic modernization sustained on pre-modern labor relationships and indigenous oppression. We reconstructed her vision on how the relation between the components of the Peruvian Nation had to be, her critics towards indigenous exclusion and her warnings on the repercussions that the latter one had. The main purpose is to think about the impact of the double formation on critical conscience of the public opinion, as well as on civic education of the indigenous people that Dora Mayer did in El Deber Pro- Indígena (1912-1917).
