Bromeliaceae from Pico Piraí, Guaratuba Municipality (Parana, Brazil) Bromeliaceae Juss. do Pico Piraí, município de Guaratuba (Paraná, Brasil)

Abstract: The results of a Bromeliaceae Juss. floristic survey in the Piraí Mountain, Araraquara complex(Guaratuba Municipality, Paraná State) are presented. Twenty six species included in nine genera and three subfamilies were registered. Bromelioideae presented the highest genera diversity and Tillandsioideae showed the highest species diversity, including twelve species belonging to the genus Vriesea (46%). It was the first register of Nidularium procerum Lindm., Tillandsia stricta Sol. ex Ker Gawl., Vriesea altodaserrae L. B. Sm., Vriesea erythrodactylon (E. Morren) E. Morren ex Mez, Vrieseaflava And.Costa, H. Luther & Wand., Vriesea friburgensis Mez, Vriesea hoehneana L. B. Sm., Vriesea inflata (Wawra) Wawra e Wittrockia superba Lindm. at the Guaratuba Municipality. Dyckia leptostachya Baker was collected for the first time at the coastal zone of Paraná State, being this record done after 40 years since its last register in the State. For each species, information on phenology, geographic distribution and vulnerability level are included. Apresentam-se resultados de levantamento florístico das espécies de Bromeliaceae Juss. no Pico Piraí, Complexo do Araraquara (Guaratuba, Paraná). Verificou-se a ocorrência de 26 espécies pertencentes a nove gêneros e três subfamílias. Bromelioideae englobou a maior diversidade de gêneros e Tillandsioideae registrou-se a maior diversidade de espécies, sendo 12 delas incluídas no gênero Vriesea (46%). As seguintes espécies foram registradas pela primeira vez no município de Guaratuba: Nidularium procerum Lindm., Tillandsia stricta Sol. ex Ker Gawl., Vriesea altodaserrae L. B. Sm., Vriesea erythrodactylon (E. Morren) E. Morren ex Mez, Vriesea flava And. Costa, H. Luther & Wand.,Vriesea friburgensis Mez, Vriesea hoehneana L. B. Sm., Vriesea inflata (Wawra) Wawra e Wittrockia superba Lindm.. Dyckia leptostachya Baker foi registrada pela primeira vez na zona litoranea paranaense e após 40 anos do último registro de coleta da espécie no Estado. S o apresentadas informa es sobre fenologia,distribui o geográfica e grau de vulnerabilidade para cada espécie identificada.

Abstract: Na Psicologia, o campo de estudos sobre o desenvolvimento moral, a partir de uma perspectiva psicogenética, teve início com o trabalho O Juízo Moral na Crian a, escrito por Jean Piaget, em 1932. Nesse livro, o psicólogo suí o relata uma série de experimentos que demonstram que a moralidade se desenvolve com o passar do tempo e à medida que novas aquisi es no campo cognitivo e afetivo s o conquistadas pelo sujeito. De lá para cá, esse campo de estudos tem crescido constantemente e produzido novas teorias e propostas de interven o no ambito da educa o moral. O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar uma breve vis o sobre algumas das principais teorias psicológicas que abordam a quest o do desenvolvimento moral, demonstrar algumas propostas de aplica o dessas teorias em programas de interven o e argumentar que a Educa o se apresenta como um espa o privilegiado para o desenvolvimento desse tipo de atividade, que n o tem sido devidamente aproveitado no Brasil. In Psychology, the branch of studies about moral development, from a psychogenetic perspective, began with the 1932 book Moral Judgment of the Child. In this book, Jean Piaget refers to a set of experiments demonstrating that morality and acquisitions in the cognition and affective field are related. Nowadays, this field of studies has grown constantly and produced new theories and intervention accounts in the scope of moral education. The objective of this paper is to present a brief overview of the main psychological theories that deal with moral development, demonstrating some interventions and arguing that education is a privileged space for the development of social moral awareness which has not been duly used to advantage in Brazil.
Estudos sobre a dimensionalidade da empatia: tradu o e adapta o do Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI)

Abstract: Ao longo dos anos diversos métodos foram propostos para avaliar a empatia, sendo que os mais utilizados s o escalas autoavaliativas. Dentre estas, destaca-se o Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) de Davis (1983), que avalia componentes cognitivos e afetivos da empatia. Os principais objetivos do presente trabalho foram: traduzir e adaptar o IRI para uso no Brasil, verificando suas propriedades psicométricas; e avaliar a dimensionalidade do construto empatia por meio da aplica o de análises fatoriais exploratória e confirmatória. Os resultados demonstraram que a vers o traduzida e adaptada é adequada para ser aplicada no Brasil, que a dimens o de Fantasia tem importancia fundamental para a empatia e que um modelo tetrafatorial é mais adequado do que os modelos unifatorial e bifatorial para explica o dos dados, o que corrobora a tese de Davis e Hoffman de que a empatia deve ser compreendida a partir de uma perspectiva multidimensional.

Abstract: A empatia etnocultural é um construto que ajuda na compreens o de fen menos que envolvem quest es culturais, respeito às diferen as etnoculturais e desenvolvimento afetivo e sociomoral. O presente estudo objetivou traduzir, adaptar e testar a validade de construto da Scale of Ethnocultural Empathy – SEE para uso no Brasil. Participaram desta pesquisa 350 estudantes universitários residentes na cidade de Juazeiro (BA). Eles responderam à vers o adaptada da SEE, que passou a se chamar Escala de Empatia Etnocultural – EEE, além de um questionário sociodemográfico. Foram realizadas análises fatoriais e os resultados apontaram como melhor solu o uma estrutura composta por 26 itens, dispostos em três fatores. A consistência interna da Escala de Empatia Etnocultural como um todo (Nível Geral de Empatia Etnocultural) foi considerada boa (α = . 808). Destarte, a Escala de Empatia Etnocultural revelou propriedades psicométricas adequadas à avalia o do construto e demonstrou ser uma importante ferramenta de investiga o em pesquisas futuras. Ethnocultural Empathy is a construct that helps to understand phenomena encompassing cultural issues, respect to ethnocultural differences, and affective and social-moral development. The present study aimed to translate, to adapt and to assess the construct validity of the Scale of Ethnocultural Empathy – SEE for use in Brazil. A total of 350 undergraduate students resident in the city of Juazeiro, BA (Brazil) participated of this study. They answered to the modified version of the SEE – which was called in Portuguese Escala de Empatia Etnocultural – EEE, and a questionnaire assessing socio-demographic characteristics. A factor analysis of 26 items suggested that a three-factor solution provided the best fit to the data. The overall internal consistency of the SEE (general level of ethnocultural empathy) was good (α = . 808). Taken as a whole, the psychometric properties of the Scale of Ethnocultural Empathy are suitable to assess the Ethnocultural Empathy and demonstrate that the SEE is an important research tool in future studies.

Abstract: this work is a presentation of the perspectives of nietzsche and freud on contemporary western civilization from the writings genealogy of morals, the first, the future of an illusion and the malaise civilization in the second. is discussed aspects related to life in civilization, the mechanisms to deal with the unpleasantness of life in society and conflicts between instinct [trieb] and culture. we present the perspectives of two authors to reveal the similar elements, different and complementary. finally, we discuss the importance of these two authors for an analysis of the psychological condition of human science.

Abstract: this article aims to communicate results and raise the researchers′ interest about the gender and birth order influence in the individuals′ self-description. specifically, 322 adolescents ages 13 and 17 answered a questionnaire in which they were requested to mention three negative and three positive words best selected to describe themselves. assessing personality itself was not the main objective, but aggregate common characteristics from the participants to draw patterns of responses. through the correspondence factor analysis (ca), factors opposed the groups in pairs. gender was the main variable to produce differentiation between characteristics, but birth order effects were also relevant to distinguish the patterns developed. it is suggested that personality traits should be researched in brazil considering the combination of these two variables.

Abstract: this study aimed at assessing gender and birth order influence on parenting and perceived parental favoritism from the children perspective. the participants were 322 adolescents aged between 13 and 17 years old. two instruments were used to collect data - parenting styles inventory and a questionnaire developed by the authors. non-parametrical statistics (mann-whitney and kruskal-wallis) were used to analyze the obtained data. results have shown that: (a) child gender has significant influence on the score of parenting styles; (b) firstborn girls present significantly higher risk of suffering negative parental practices and, (c) the perceived parental favoritism is significantly modulated by both gender and birth order.

Abstract: purpose: to identify the prevalence of the vocal dysfunction which caused medical leave among high school teachers from the "state education system". methods: a survey was conducted analyzing school teachers' medical reports who were licensed for medical leave in 2005 and 2006 which were registered in the "central superintendence of medical expert reports and occupational health of the state of rio de janeiro". from 554 school working teachers in the above-mentioned period, 130 medical reports were analyzed and on a leave because of several vocal dysfunctions diagnostics, trying to identify the medical leaves arising from vocal dysfunction. results: it was clear that despite of the high prevalence rate of the negative vocal sign symptoms among school teachers, just 6.9% were on a leave due to vocal dysfunction. the results also allow for reflections on the relation amongst voice, body, breathing and emotion in the teaching world. conclusion: it may be concluded that even when dysphonia usually a problem in the educational work, we know very little on official data concerning teachers who are licensed for medical leave. more research is required for the ones who are responsible for policy decisions, to be aware and sensible to the importance of the issue, for the country, in social and economics terms. we emphasize the need for speech therapist work development among school teachers to be a multidisciplinary job, with prevention programs and policies that are very important to implement and also to promote vocal health programs that may be offered to school teachers.
