Partial boundary regularity for co-dimension one area-minimizing currents at immersed $C^{1,α}$ tangential boundary points
Leobardo Rosales
Mathematics , 2015,
Abstract: We give partial boundary regularity for co-dimension one absolutely area-minimizing currents at points where the boundary consists of a sum of $C^{1,\alpha}$ submanifolds, possibly with multiplicity, meeting tangentially, given that the current has a tangent cone supported in a hyperplane with constant orientation vector; this partial regularity is such that we can conclude the tangent cone is unique. The proof follows closely the boundary regularity result given by Hardt and Simon in [9].

Abstract: EhADH112 is an Entamoeba histolytica Bro1 domain-containing protein, structurally related to mammalian ALIX and yeast BRO1, both involved in the Endosomal Sorting Complexes Required for Transport (ESCRT)-mediated multivesicular bodies (MVB) biogenesis. Here, we investigated an alternative role for EhADH112 in the MVB protein trafficking pathway by overexpressing 166 amino acids of its N-terminal Bro1 domain in trophozoites. Trophozoites displayed diminished phagocytosis rates and accumulated exogenous Bro1 at cytoplasmic vesicles which aggregated into aberrant complexes at late stages of phagocytosis, probably preventing EhADH112 function. Additionally, the existence of a putative E. histolytica ESCRT-III subunit (EhVps32) presumably interacting with EhADH112, led us to perform pull-down experiments with GST-EhVps32 and [35S]-labeled EhADH112 or EhADH112 derivatives, confirming EhVps32 binding to EhADH112 through its Bro1 domain. Our overall results define EhADH112 as a novel member of ESCRT-accessory proteins transiently present at cellular surface and endosomal compartments, probably contributing to MVB formation during phagocytosis.
Las relaciones internacionales de los municipios
Ruiz Alanís, Leobardo;
Convergencia , 2009,
Abstract: the processes of aperture, democratization, decentralization and structural reform inside the countries, coupled with the phenomenon of globalization have generated an increment in the international interaction leading to a phenomenon in which sub-national units (states and municipalities in mexico) have acquired their own participation in the international arena with its peers in other countries, and they are building new scenarios for the national and local development.

Electrical Conductivity of Collapsed Multilayer Graphene Tubes  [PDF]
D. Mendoza
World Journal of Nano Science and Engineering (WJNSE) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/wjnse.2012.22009
Abstract: Synthesis of multilayer graphene on copper wires by a chemical vapor deposition method is reported. After copper etching, the multilayer tube collapses forming stripes of graphitic films, their electrical conductance as a function of temperature indicate a semiconductor-like behavior. Using the multilayer graphene stripes, a cross junction is built and owing to its electrical behavior we propose that a tunneling process exists in the device.
Porous Carbon Grown by Chemical Vapor Deposition on Copper Substrates  [PDF]
D. Mendoza
Journal of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering (MSCE) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/msce.2015.38003
Abstract: Amorphous porous carbon was synthesized by chemical vapor deposition on copper substrates. The average size of the pores is around 1.2 microns with some small pores decorating the big ones. Lamellar samples of this carbonaceous material can be separated from the copper support and may be useful as electrode due to its low electrical resistivity of the order of 0.4 Ωcm.
