Abstract: the objective of this study was to analyze the approach used to teach the nursing process based on the class plans of courses that evidence the concept and method bases of the nursing process in superior education institutions in a state capital of northeast brazil. results showed that the courses are mostly theoretical, with amendments and concept bases emphasizing the theoretical-philosophical support of the nursing process, as well as on the study of the phases comprising it. furthermore, it was shown there was an expression and prevalence of cognitive and psychomotor objectives and the use of traditional methodology.
Ades o ao tratamento de idosos com hipertens o em uma unidade básica de saúde de Jo o Pessoa, Estado da Paraíba = The adhesion to the treatment for old with arterial high blood pressure in basic unit of health of Jo o Pessoa, Paraíba State

Abstract: A principal estratégia para evitar as complica es da hipertens o baseia-se nos tratamento medicamentoso e n o medicamentoso. Porém o êxito ou fracasso terapêutico depende da ades o que, por sua vez, consiste no principal desafio. Por este motivo objetivou-se analisar a ades o ao tratamento medicamentoso e n o medicamentoso por idosos hipertensos. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, com 25 pacientes acima de 60 anos de idade, atendidos por uma unidade de básica de saúde em 2008, na cidade de Jo o Pessoa, Estado da Paraíba. Com rela o à ades o medicamentosa, 12 pacientes referem fazer uso correto da medica o prescrita, enquanto 13 deixaram de usá-la. Dentre os principais motivos para a n o ades o ao tratamento medicamentoso, estavam o esquecimento (10), a ausência de sintomas (8) e a desmotiva o (7), dentre outros. Considerando as variáveis n o-medicamentosas, obteve-se o resultado de que apenas quatro foram considerados aderentes; 19 mostraram-se parcialmente aderentes e apenas 8% revelaram-se n o aderentes. Quanto às dificuldades para seguir o tratamento, 12 dos entrevistados relataram seguir a dieta e as mudan as no estilo de vida. Os resultados obtidos indicam baixa ades o ao tratamento anti-hipertensivo e sugerem a implanta o de estratégias que facilitem uma melhor ades o às medidas de controle da hipertens o. The principal strategy to avoid the complications of the high blood pressure is based on the medicamental treatment and not medicamentally. However the result or therapeutic failure depends on the adhesion that for his time consists of the principal challenge. Aimed analyze the adhesion to the medicamental treatment and not medicamentally for old with arterial high blood pressure.
