Diversitas: Perspectivas en Psicología , 2006,
Abstract: based on texts of lacan (1964), merleau-ponty (1964), nasio (1995), among others, this paper discusses inclusive education and construction of subjectivity, having as a starting point the differences between vision and the look. evidences are given to explain how mental representations which originate the unconscious formations are built. vision is considered as a function of the organ, linked to perception with its tricks and distortions of the real, in contrast the look is imprisoned to the scopic pulsion, therefore of unconscious order, of the indefinite, the unspeakable, foundation of subjectivity. pécheux's (1997) aspects of language and speech are emphasized. it is understood heterogeneity as what shows among identity, singularity and subjectivity, being implied in the construction of the representations of the visually deficient as well as of the not blind. it is asked how the school and the education of children with special needs, visually deficient, contribute to the formation of blind children's subjectivity, or on the contrary, impose them the education for the not blind. the analysis takes discursive sequences produced by pupils of a school for visually deficient children and adolescents. conclusions show some faults of the inclusion process of such children, where the school contents are presented in the same way as for children with no special needs, what makes us question its contribution to the constitution of different subjectivities in the dimension of the language.

Acta Scientiarum : Language and Culture , 2010,
Owing to different uses assigned to the term, where has been the object of several studies. Investigations have also been made on issues with regard to its grammatical class, the adverbs, in which traditionally the term has been inserted. Important issues are raised on the adverbs, among which the traditional definition, the historical issues that pervade its concept, the problems associated with this tradition and other definitions based on functional studies. The literature related to the term where is provided, coupled to a description of its origin, its possible morphological and syntactical classifications (adverb/pronoun) and some stances attributed to it by researchers as from discussions with distinct synchronies corpora.

The literary myth of the double in entertainment media content
Robson Souza dos Santos
Estudos em Comunica??o , 2011,
Abstract: This article discusses how the myth of the literary double stands in entertainment media, becoming a recurrent gure of cinema productions, and, later on, of soap operas, the main entertainment vehicle in latin-american countries. Frequently, the image of the double or stunt-man, in literature and soap opera productions, has been directly associated with the creature’s desire of becoming creator, and that myth is the main focus of discussion in this article.
Physiological responses in jeju, Hoplerythrinus unitaeniatus, (Characiformes, Erythrinidae), to atmospheric air exposure.

Abstract: The physiological responses to air exposure were analyzed in jeju, Hoplerythrinus unitaeniatus at 1, 6 and 12 hours of exposure and 1 e 6 hours after returning to water environment. Plasma cortisol and glucose were significantly higher than those of control group after 1, 6 and 12 hours of air exposure, respectively. Acid-base and ionic unbalances during air exposure were evidenced by plasma pH and Na+ and K+ concentration following pH recovery as fish returned to water environment. Ammonia accumulation was found in all experimental groups increasing continuously during air exposure. During the recovery period in water there was a reduction in plasma ammonia concentration but it was significantly higher than the controls. Plasma lactate showed a slightly increase during air exposure and was significantly higher than the controls only 1 hour after recovery in water while piruvate increased after 6 hour in water. Hematocrit, red blood cells, hemoglobin concentration and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration increased significantly during air exposure. Air exposure can be characterized as an stressor agent to H. unitaeniatus and imply in physiological adjustments to keep the O2 transfer from air to tissue and homeostasis as well as energy mobilization.

Abstract: How to integrate and create members of a virtual community of learning? This article presents a historical view of playful in education, bringing theoretical assumptions of Piaget, Vygotsky, Huizinga and Kishimoto, using case studies of a cultural virtual game between schools that begun in 2002. We conclude that in this activity, distance was an integrator element of virtual community of learning to promote creative and dynamic interaction of its members, offering cultural diversity as a possibility to practice transdisciplinary, to promote self-esteem of its participants, making them feel capable to perform complex or unknown tasks sharing common feelings of action inability. This activity showed ways of being, acting and growing of the communities, resulting in various ways to feel the life and give its members self-community opportunities.
Protease expression by microorganisms and its relevance to crucial physiological/pathological events
André Luis Souza dos Santos
World Journal of Biological Chemistry , 2011,
Abstract: The treatment of infections caused by fungi and trypanosomatids is difficult due to the eukaryotic nature of these microbial cells, which are similar in several biochemical and genetic aspects to host cells. Aggravating this scenario, very few antifungal and anti-trypanosomatidal agents are in clinical use and, therefore, therapy is limited by drug safety considerations and their narrow spectrum of activity, efficacy and resistance. The search for new bioactive agents against fungi and trypanosomatids has been expanded because progress in biochemistry and molecular biology has led to a better understanding of important and essential pathways in these microorganisms including nutrition, growth, proliferation, signaling, differentiation and death. In this context, proteolytic enzymes produced by these eukaryotic microorganisms are appointed and, in some cases, proven to be excellent targets for searching novel natural and/or synthetic pharmacological compounds, in order to cure or prevent invasive fungal/trypanosomatid diseases. With this task in mind, our research group and others have focused on aspartic-type proteases, since the activity of this class of hydrolytic enzymes is directly implicated in several facets of basic biological processes of both fungal and trypanosomatid cells as well as due to the participation in numerous events of interaction between these microorganisms and host structures. In the present paper, a concise revision of the beneficial effects of aspartic protease inhibitors, with emphasis on the aspartic protease inhibitors used in the anti-human immunodeficiency virus therapy, will be presented and discussed using our experience with the following microbial models: the yeast Candida albicans, the filamentous fungus Fonsecaea pedrosoi and the protozoan trypanosomatid Leishmania amazonensis.
