Ultima década , 2009, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-22362009000200002
Abstract: we approach a subject rarely studied here in the country and which now has considerable significance for understanding our youth. at work are valued potential life trajectories of young cubans on their way from the field of school education organized at work, namely the complete integration and its potential socio variables. in other words it is examining how students becomes workers, which involves identifying the possible routes that they describe in entering the adult world. the interest in this matter lies in the growing diversity of youth trajectories to adulthood under conditions of a country like cuba where it develops a complex process of transition to socialism.
NUEVAS CONDICIONES JUVENILES Y TRAYECTORIAS DE VIDA EN CUBA: UNA APROXIMACIóN AL TEMA

International Journal of Clinical and Health Psychology , 2007,

Abstract: Renewable energies and, in general, green energy technologies, are an area of a growing interest for mitigating the effects of climate change. The aim of this study is to analyse R & D efforts of European countries in sustainable energies through the analysis of its participation in the Energy Call of the 7th Framework Programme (FP) of the European Union. Results obtained show that Spanish R & D is very important in solar and wind sectors. In addition, public system and companies of the energy sector occupy a very important position in projects funded under the Energy call of the 7th FP. This confirms the innovative potential achieved of Spanish R & D which has managed to establish Spain as one of the leading international references in renewable technologies, particularly in solar and wind energies, while in Europe and worldwide contexts, biofuels are the most important area.

Agricultural Sciences (AS) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/as.2015.62017
Abstract: In this study, the growth of Oreochromis niloticus both mixed sex and males sexually reversed were analyzed in concrete ponds in the FES Zaragoza, UNAM, under the environmental conditions of the Mexico City. The experiment was carried from May to November 2013, in two concrete ponds of 50 m2. Similar feeding regime and stocking density of fish were maintained for the culture systems. Different growth parameters like body weight, length, daily weight gain (DWG), specific growth rate (SGR), feed conversion rate (FCR), Fulton’s condition index (K) and survival were analyzed during six months culture period. It was found that culture with monosex males tilapias yielded the highest weight, length, DWG and SGR compared to mixed sex populations tilapias. Water quality was monitored along the experiment. Based on the results, there were statistically significant differences in size (W = 20942.5, p < 0.05) and weight (W = 21413.0, p < 0.05) between the divisions of the pond. The initial total length used was 1.2 cm and ended with 20.4 cm for monosex males, higher than mixed-sex population. The initial average body weight of the fish was 0.21 g and they recorded 192.2 g at the end of culture for monosex males. The weight-length relationship for both populations of fish was positive allometric. The percentage gain in body weight and total length averaged were 150% and 31.8% respectively. Specific growth rates in weight and length for monosex males were higher than mixed-sex population. Daily weight gain and size was similar in both populations. The FCR had a mean value of 1.9:1 for monosex males and condition factor (K) had an average of 1.45 for mixed-sex population. Water quality indicated good oxygenation (>5 mg/L), warm water (>20°C), productive (<100 mg/L CaCO3) and slightly basic (pH > 8). Acceptable growth of fish and a yield of 3 ton/ha/6 months were obtained in both two ponds; therefore, the culture of tilapia under conditions of Mexico City was recommended.
A Check List to Reduce Misuse of Primary Cesarean Sections in Women with a Single Fetus in Cephalic Position  [PDF]

Health (Health) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/health.2017.98090
Abstract: Background: Avoiding primary C-section is the safest and most effective way of decreasing C-section rates. We analyzed circumstances and decisions made among pregnant women without history of C-section and cephalic single fetus (group B), who ended up having a Cesarean birth, to identify opportunities that may optimize the decisions about delivery. Methodology: We evaluated the clinical histories of pregnant women from group B who completed their pregnancies in the Hospital Universitario de Santander (Bucaramanga, Colombia) during 2013. We evaluated the decision moments from admission until birth, including the registry of the reasons for having a C-section, compliance of all the criteria to support the decision and its appropriateness, and how adequate were the procedures done during the induction or augmentation of labor. Results: We evaluated 1320 histories; 666 (55.7%) ended by C-Section. In 59.8% of the histories, we identified at least one decision that could have been addressed differently to optimize the delivery type and, potentially, avoid ending in a Cesarean birth. The most frequent opportunities arise due to a lack of clarity in the record of the reason for performing the C-section (70.1%), and inadequate use of labor induction in the patients that had to end their gestation (38.5%). Conclusion: In the Hospital Universitario de Santander during 2013, despite observing a meaningful subregistry of the indication to perform a C-section, we found that in one out of every two patients there are opportunities of improvement in the registry and attention to reduce the high incidence of C-sections in the institution. This analysis allowed us to create a checklist to fill out before making the final decision of performing a Cesarean birth.
