Abstract: 根据冻融循环条件下岩体水分运动和热量迁移的基本规律,基于连续介质力学、热力学以及分凝势理论,建立低温岩体温度场和渗流场耦合控制方程,该耦合方程不仅考虑了热传导、相变潜热和渗流速度对温度分布的影响,而且分析了由分凝势引起的孔隙水流动对渗流速度以及渗透压力分布的影响,实现了温度场和渗流场的双向全耦合.并将研究成果与M. Smith等的模型试验和现场试验进行对比分析,结果表明,所建立的耦合控制方程计算结果与实测结果吻合较好.在此基础上,应用此耦合模型数值仿真寒区隧道,对隧道温度场分布规律和冻融圈大小进行分析,该计算结果能为寒区隧道的设计和施工提供一定的参考.

Abstract: Mobile payment service is exploding at an impressive rate as the global mobile payment revenue almost tripled over the last five years. But the reasons behind this phenomenon are still not clear. This paper thus focuses on identifying the key factors that contribute to the success of mobile payments. We firstly take a look at the current status of mobile payments. With this brief background in mind, we then address several questions associated with three key actors of mobile payment ecosystem: m-payment service provider, consumer, merchants. Specifically, the business model of mobile payments firms (including value proposition, market contribution, revenue source), consumer preferences and merchant. Conclusions: Mobile payment is gradually developing towards diversification and cross-border integration with highly sophisticated technology behind; the success of mobile payments application is based on aprofitable and valuable business model; in order to gain a competitive advantage when facing with fierce competition in the market, firms should respond best to consumer change and merchant feedback.

Abstract: H.264 video coding standard introduces motion estimation with multiple block sizes to achieve a considerably higher coding efficiency than other video coding algorithms. However, this comes at the greatly increased computing complexity at the encoder. In this paper, a method is proposed to eliminate some redundant coding modes that contribute very little coding gain. The simulation results show that the algorithm can remarkably decrease the complexity at the encoder while keeping satisfying coding efficiency.

Abstract: We take 2259 P2P Lending platforms as the sample, and integrate 14 variables from five dimensions to analyze the risk factors of P2P Lending problematic platforms by binary logistic model. The empirical results show that the 11 variables which are the type of company, platform background, operation time, the type of project, interest rate, fund custody, term of loan, day-bid, transfer of creditor’s rights, automatic bidding and information disclosure, have significant influences on the operating status of the platform, while the other variables such as registered capital, the number of employees and security mechanism have no obvious impact on the operating status of the platform. The results provide a reference for investors and regulators.

Abstract: A method is presented for incrementally computing success patterns of logic programs. The set of success patterns of a logic program with respect to an abstraction is formulated as the success set of an equational logic program modulo an equality theory that is induced by the abstraction. The method is exemplified via depth and stump abstractions. Also presented are algorithms for computing most general unifiers modulo equality theories induced by depth and stump abstractions.

Abstract: Codon nonsense mutations include amber, ochre, or opal mutations according to termination codon consisting of three types (TAG, TAA and TGA). Codon nonsense mutations are also divided into natural and artificial mutations. We discussed the interaction of codon nonsense mutations and suppressor tRNAs in vitro and in vivo. Nonsense suppressions do not only happen in prokaryotes but also in eukaryotes. Meanwhile, the misreading of termination codon and in-corporation of nonnatural amino acids into proteins are also introduced.

Water Metaphors in Dao de jing: A Conceptual Analysis  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper focuses on the use of water metaphors in the ancient Chinese text Dao de jing (168 BC), which is the foundational text of Daoism and a primary source of modern Chinese ideas about life and politics. The paper analyses how the image of water is used in the text to facilitate the conceptualization of the core philosophical concepts. The analysis is based on the theoretical framework of the Conceptual Metaphor Theory (Lakoff & Johnson, 1980; Kövecses, 2002). Water is discovered as occupying an essential position in the conceptualization of the Daoist worldview, which is manifested in notions of 道 dao and 德 de. It demonstrates that a cognitive approach offers an effective way to explore the cognitive basis of the text’s views on the eternal cosmological processing and of the application of morality in the human world.
Studies of non-metallic organic disinfectants on inactivation of avian influenza viruses  [PDF]

Six different kinds of non-metallic or organic disinfectants were obtained in this research study including “Neutral Electrolyzed Water”, “M22” organic disinfectant solution, Superoxy Food Wash disinfectant, Hydrogen Peroxide, Clorox Germicidal Bleach and Clidox-S. The effectiveness of these disinfectants was studied against various subtypes of avian influenza virus (AIV). The virus-disinfectant mixtures were prepared in serial dilutions of each disinfectant with a constant virus titer and incubated at ambient temperature in different time intervals for virus inactivation. The virus inactivation results were determined by virus recovery in embryonating chicken eggs. Among the six different kinds of nonmetallic disinfectants obtained for this research project, Neutral Electrolyzed Water, “M22” solution, Clorox Germicidal Bleach and Clidox-S were effectively inactivated AIV with appropriate working dilutions and reaction times. Superoxy Food Wash disinfectant and Hydrogen Peroxide were found having limited effect on virus inactivation with extended exposure times of more than 2 hours. These research findings provide scientific data to poultry industry with guidelines to select and use non-metallic organic disinfectants for poultry flock sanitation and disinfection to effectively prevent and control of avian influenza outbreaks.

Starting Point of Cluster-Derived Silicon Nanowires  [PDF]

The assembly of medium-sized silicon nanoclusters was simulated to study the starting point of the formation of cluster-derived silicon nanowires (CDSiNWs). Hydrogen-terminated clusters were found repulsing each other and inter-connecting through the hydrogen bonds, thus could not form a stable silicon nanowire (SiNW). Between the pristine silicon clusters without hydrogen saturation, the assembly takes place automatically. An orientation priority in cluster assembly is obtained, as silicon clusters Si29 are more possibly adhered along <111> direction than the other directions. Such an assembly may be the starting point of the SiNW growth along <111> direction. Moreover, it indicates the possibility of silicon tetrapods or zigzag wires formation, besides straight SiNWs.
