Atención de la urgencia en casa: una reacción automática

Abstract: objetive: understanding the meaning of actions done by patient?s family members at home when an emergency situation happened and were waiting for medical attention. methodology: the particularistic ethnographic approach was used. the information was gathered from interviews and observations made to people that received emergency attention at home, in the city of medellín-colombia between january 2005 and december 2006. results: in emergency situation people delivery tasks automatically among who are next to the patient, these tasks are done to recover health, to give company to avoid patient? suffering and to organice physical space and prepare patient to receive medical attention. conclusion: it is essencial to provide education to community for people?s automatic reactions in case of emergency at home to develop safe and calmed actions.

Abstract: objective: to identify situations when people request urgent home care. methodology: the ethnographic approach was used. the information was gathered with interviews and observations of adult people that received urgent attention at home, in the city of medellín-colombia between january of 2005 and december of 2006. results and discussion: the people call to request urgent help when they suffer a circumstance and a necessity. circumstance, is the event of health that alters the daily life, added to critical situations in the surroundings like self diagnosis and emotion. necessities are individual and ask for immediate help when the circumstance looks urgent. the necessities found in this study were to have company; security, transport and tranquillity. conclusions: the situations that push the people to request non programmed help from their house are health events that alter daily life. the circumstances and necessities are individual matters that require of that the health services provider discover and solve them.

Abstract: the pragmatic component is vital in teaching foreign languages. this article reports the effects of teaching compliments to a level-b1* group that studied english as a foreign language. this case study was carried out in medellín, colombia. data were gathered through the discourse completion test (dct), which students took before and after the explicit teaching of compliments, and through the notes on the process that the teacher-researcher had registered in his field diary. finally, an interview was conducted in order to triangulate all the information. the results show that students improved their level of semantic precision when giving and receiving compliments after the explicit teaching of these speech acts. * according to the standards of the common european framework for languages.

Abstract: this work proposes to review the use of the principle of proportionality in the decisions of the constitutional courts of chile and colombia dealing with judicial review of criminal law. the purpose of the work is to investigate how such a tool has contributed to the function of increasing the rationality in the control of criminal political decisions of the legislative branch. to do so, the work first examines the differences between the constitutional justice systems. on this basis, it is ascertained whether, to what extent and on what occasions these constitutional courts have asked the questions and incorporated the demands that the proportionality principle as an argumentative tool in the judicial review of substantive criminal law requires.

Abstract: Este artículo propone exponer algunos de los presupuestos teóricos, metodológicos y conceptuales del estudio del comportamiento proambiental en los que se basa la tesis de Maestría en Medio Ambiente y Desarrollo denominada “Simulación dinámica de los grupos de interés bajo una estructura basada en creencias, deseos e intenciones. Estudio en caso: el Pacto de Mejoramiento de la Calidad del Aire del Area Metropolitana del Valle de Aburrá, AMVA”, que justifican una reorientación de los programas de intervención de las autoridades metropolitanas. De igual modo, intenta dotar al lector de un punto de vista amplio, con criterios rigurosos, que posibilite analizar y hacer visibles las múltiples identidades, la diversidad de fines y la heterogeneidad de propósitos que hay detrás del cumplimiento por parte de los ciudadanos de las políticas ambientales. Por medio del análisis de los modelos teóricos, con la Teoría de la Acción Razonada (TAR) y la Teoría de la Conducta Planificada (TCP), se presentan los aspectos que influyen en el comportamiento proambiental de los individuos, y su dinámica en un ambiente sistémico. Se realiza una aproximación desde el individualismo metodológico de la TAR aplicada a la disminución de la contaminación atmosférica en el valle de Aburrá, y se valida en abstracto el modelo planteado. El análisis de la intención de comportamiento de los actores y grupos de interés que participan en la ejecución de los programas establecidos por las autoridades tendientes a la disminución de la contaminación, sirve para entender qué tan fuertemente intentarán, o cuánto esfuerzo ejercerán para realizar el comportamiento proambiental promovido.
