Misdiagnosis of left supraclavicular lymph node metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma: A case report

Abstract: Left supraclavicular lymph node metastasis is a rare presentation of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This phenomenon is easily neglected in the clinic. A 56-year-old man presented with HCC. On examination, a 1cm long left supraclavicular lymph node was palpated. Auxiliary examination indicated a lesion located in the right lobe of the liver. Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) of the enlarged lymph node was performed; however, only necrosis was found. Hepatectomy was performed and HCC was confirmed by Hematoxylin-Eosin staining. However, 14 d after surgery, significantly enlarged left supraclavicular lymph nodes, a new intrahepatic lesion, and pulmonary and mediastinal metastasis appeared. An excisional biopsy of the left supraclavicular lymph node was performed, and its findings confirmed metastatic HCC. The patient’s HCC rapidly progressed and he died one month later. It is possible for HCC to metastasize to the left supraclavicular lymph node. Surgeons should always consider an overall physical examination. When left supraclavicular lymphadenopathy of unknown origin is encountered, FNAC should be performed initially. If the results are negative, an excisional biopsy and subsequent Positron emission tomography - computed tomography scanning should be performed. These are very important for making the correct diagnosis and for selecting reasonable therapies.
Enhanced Electrochromic Properties by Using a CeO2 Modified TiO2 Nanotube Array Transparent Counter Electrode

Abstract: A new kind of electrochromic device composed of a CeO2 modified TiO2 nanotube array counter electrode and a working electrode of P3MeT film was reported. The counter electrode was fabricated by electrodepositing CeO2 nanoparticles onto the walls of anodized TiO2 nanotubes. The CeO2 modified TiO2 nanotube array counter electrode keeps a high transparency under working voltage. The charge capacity of CeO2 modified TiO2 nanotube array has an increase of 30% than that of un―modified TiO2 nanotube array electrode. Compared with the electrochromic device with a TiO2 nanotube array film electrode, the CeO2 modified TiO2 nanotube counter electrode based EC device has a fast decoloration time of 0.8 s. The fast response attributes to the high effective surface area and the fast charge transportation along the nanotube walls.

Abstract: Considering the uncertain for rotating velocity of spatial target and sample period of radar observation, there exists sampling rate variance between radar returns and template data, which decreases the degree of matching. In this paper, the ARMA model in multirate is provided, through which the model parameters of radar turns in the scale of template data can be gotten, and then data can be matched in the same scale. Experimental result shows the validity of proposed method.

Abstract: Hetero-polyacid anions (PW12O403()-pillared hydrotalcite-like compound is directly and hydrothermally synthesized by the hot solution method. FTIR and XRD show that PW12O403( has been incorporated into the interstitial space with the dimension of 0.917 nm. The state of PW12O403( anion between the hydrotalcite sheets was also discussed. The title product can be expressed by formula Zn0.68Al0.32(OH)2](PW12O40] 0.11(3H2O after a serious study of TGA and chemical analysis.

Abstract: The first chemical synthesis of the natural triterpenoid saponin Patrinia-glycoside B-II, namely oleanolic acid 3- O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-[β-D-gluco-pyranosyl-(1→3)]-α-L-arabinopyranoside, has been accomplished in a linear 11-step sequence 11 with 9.4% overall yield. The abnormal 1 C 4 conformation of the arabinose residue was found to occur via conformational fluctuation during preparation of the intermediates. Molecular mechanism and quantum chemistry calculations showed that Patrinia-glycoside B-II and its conformer 1 cannot interconvert under normal conditions. Preliminary structure-activity relationships studies indicated that the 4 C 1 chair conformation of the arabinose residue in the unique α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-α-L-arabinopyranosyl disaccharide moiety is one of the chief positive factors responsible for its cytotoxic activity against tumors.
Passive RFID Attendance System Based on MSP430

Abstract: With the developing of information technology, smart attendance system has been an essential facility for modem enterprise. In this paper, a low-power RFID system based on MSP430 and TRF7960 is designed. The reader can inquire passive tags which support ISO14443A protocol and has been planted with anti-collision algorithm. It has a read range of 8cm and can read 2 tags at the same time. Experimental results verify that the RFID reader is stable and reliable. Combined with the development of middle-ware and Web service application at the server, a complete solution of attendance system is achieved.
Phase Cancellation for Synthesizing Range Profiles of a Moving Target via Stepped Frequency Signal

Abstract: In this paper, a new method is explored for synthesizing range profile of a moving target via stepped frequency signal. The principle of synthesizing range profile of an extended target is investigated for stepped frequency signal. The distortion of synthetic range profiles is discussed with the theory of Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT). Based on phase cancellation, a new technology is proposed to achieve range profile with out distortion for a moving target. The new technology does not need the estimation of the velocity. The result of emulation proves the effect of the method.

Abstract: The conception of micro-Doppler rate was introduced.MicroDoppler was investigated for typical targets of micro-motion.Then time-frequency analysis was used to extract micro-Doppler signature,based on which an approach was proposed for estimating motion parameters.A simulation of micro-Doppler was presented for typical targets of micro-motion.The result of emulation validates the theoretical analysis.
Integrated Target Discrimination Model in Missile Defense System

Abstract: Target discrimination is a key technique in missile defense system, and after analyzing the defense system configuration, an integrated target discrimination mathematical model based on recursive temporal-spatial data fusion is performed, which brings the expert knowledge, environmental information and measure information into the integrated discrimination flow. During spatial fusion process, the reliability of discrimination approach is measured by Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and the concept of fusion weight is introduced to measure the value of discrimination approach for participating in fusion, which is determined by reliability of discrimination approach and consensus among sensors' results. During temporal fusion process, the fusion discrimination result is inherited and updated by Dempster-Shafer theory. Simulation results show that the integrated discrimination model can fuse the local decision from discrimination approaches effectively, restrain the influence of singularity and tolerate the error of discrimination.

Abstract: 谢瓦氏曲霉间型变种Aspergillus chevalieri var. intermedius俗称“金花菌”,是茯砖茶发酵中的优势菌种,该菌在不同的渗透压胁迫下产生不同类型的孢子。采用抑制性差减杂交技术(suppression subtractive hybridization,SSH),以低渗条件下产生的子囊孢子和高渗条件下产生的分生孢子为材料分别与营养菌丝体构建两个正反向文库。每个库随机挑选400个阳性克隆进行测序。然后将所得到的基因片段在GenBank进行BLASTx和BLASTn同源比对,筛选出的差异表达的基因涉及蛋白质代谢、细胞代谢、转录调控等多个方面,其中可能参与有性产孢调控的基因有13条,可能参与无性产孢调控的基因有10条。
