Investment and coordination problems of high-strength eco-environment reconstruction in Yangou Basin of loess hilly region

Abstract: Eco-environment construction in the loess-hilly regions of Yangou Basin was used as a case to analyze investment structure and management of hi-speed,histrength eco-environment engineering in order to harness and optimize investment.Prediction and expectations of future construction investment in eco-environment are discussed.The results offer theoretic foundation for investment mechanism of eco-environment reconstruction in the middle-western regions,especially the loess hilly regions.
Planning method of ecological restoration based on enlarging terrace and de-farming in the loess hilly-gully region:A case study of Yangou Catchment

Abstract: A core idea of enlarging terrace and de-farming (RTD) is "to carry out development itself by a definite external support",and its key contents are to rebuild terrace,to enlarge garden plots and to restore vegetation in the loess hilly-gully region.Based on the previous research results of the successful cases of small catchments,this paper discussed the planning principles of RTD ecological restoration,and put forward the planning method and its techno-flow by means of GIS spatial analysis.And then,the planning method was applied to Yangou catchment, and the result showed that it is practicable. The above discussed planning principles of RTD eco-environment restoration should include the actualization of the planning should be in a catchment or a village,the land use structure should be regulated by terrain gradient,the distance of rebuilt terraces and enlarged garden plots from a residential area should be less than 2km.The techno-flow of the planning method includes the following steps:(1)to digitize maps of terrain,land use,village boundary and residential area;(2)to match and attach those maps;(3)to pick up spatial data and confirm planning data;(4)to make sure the planning and distribution schemes;and (5)to analyze the planning results. The study results applied to Yangou catchment showed that the area of enlarged terraces is at least 295.06hm2,with 359.23hm2 of total basic farmland area,the area of enlarged garden plot is at least 4.61hm2,with 622.69hm2 of total area,and de-farmed slope farmland at least 410.35 hm2.After the land use structure being regulated,the forest cover rate is 48.87% and the permanent vegetation cover rate is about 75% in Yangou catchment.And in the agricultural development,the Yangou catchment can yield 1 645 tons of food supplies,9 340 tons of apples,and can feed 7 500 sheep every year.
The REE Tracer Method for the Study of Rill Erosion Process on Loess Sloping Surface

Abstract: By the rare earth elements (REE) tracer method, four REE (Ce, Sm, Nd, Dy) were used to study the changeable process of rill erosion on loess sloping surface in runoff scouring experiments. During different stages, the erosion pattern and characteristics are different. Generally, hi the process of the rill development, the soil erosion amount hi the bottom section was larger, and it decreased with the increase of the flow discharge, but the situation is on the contrary to the top section, which indicated that the influence of flow discharge outweighed the gradient on the rill erosion; the rill relative erosion amount hi the bottom section obviously decreased from 92% to 37%, but the other three sections gradually increased from 4.7%, 0.25%, 2.14% to 29 %, 17% and 23% respectively because of the headcut erosion. Results from the experiments have also shown that the REE tracer method can be used not only quantitatively to determine rill erosion amounts in different slope sections, but also to reveal the changeable trend of rill relative erosion amounts. It provides a reliable and effective method for the research on rill erosion process.

Abstract: The construction modes of eco-agriculture and measures for vegetation rehabilitation introduced in Yangou Basin since 1998 were discussed.The social-economic and eco-environment benefits achieved during the recovery processes were analyzed.The results indicate that the comprehensive controlling measures and the ecoagriculture modes in Yangou Basin are appropriate,which provides scientific evidence and a demonstrative example for the construction of ecoagriculture in Loess Plateau.

Abstract: As a social member, college student will inevitably be influenced by the other students and the society as a whole. Conformity is a psychological term that indicates the influence. It means that an individual tends to keep accordance with the majority under direction or pressure. Conformity is a common phenomenon among college students when they are having PE class or playing sports after class, which has a great effect on students’ physical activities, sport attitude and philosophy of life. This paper analyzes the effects of conformity on college students in sports and gives some practical suggestions to PE instructors about how to make use of conformity to help students change their attitude to sports and form lifelong sports habit.
Study on the Protection and Utilization of Cultural Heritage in the Qiang District under the Concept of “Rural Revitalization”

Abstract: “Rural Revitalization” strategy of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is related to the economic development of rural areas in China. As key construction areas, the level of social and economic development in rural areas affects the realization of all-round well-off society in China. As an important Qiang district in China, the local economic development in Qiang district of the Aba Prefecture is restricted by various factors such as the limitation of geographical environment and the influence of climate and hydrological conditions. And the “three rural issues” (agriculture, rural areas and farmers) affects the living standards of the local people. However, due to the regions strong ethnic minority culture, the cultural heritage in the region has a high level value of tourism, history and cultural protection. Excavating history and culture and developing tourism can solve the problem of local economic development to a large extent. This paper mainly analyzes the status quo of the protection of cultural heritage and the development of cultural industry in the Qiang district of Aba prefecture, and on this basis, probes into the development of cultural industry in the region, and proposes the establishment of a protection base, a digital center, the publication of a series of books and the establishment of a special brand of cultural heritage protection mode.
Numerical Calculation of Dynamic Response for Multi-Span Non-Uniform Beam Subjected to Moving Mass with Friction  [PDF]

Abstract: In order to simulate the coupling vibration of a vehicle or train moves on a multi-span continuous bridge with non-uniform cross sections, a moving mass model is used according to the Finite Element Method, the effect of the inertial force, Coriolis force and centrifugal force are considered by means of the additive matrices. For a non-uniform rectangular section beam with both linear and parabolic variable heights in a plane, the stiffness and mass matrices of the beam elements are presented. For a non-uniform box girder, Romberg numerical integral scheme is adopted, each coefficient of the stiffness matrix is obtained by means of a normal numerical computation. By applying these elements to calculate the non-uniform beam, the computational accuracy and efficiency are improved. The finite element method program is worked out and an entire dynamic response process of the beam with non-uniform cross sections subjected to a moving mass is simulated numerically, the results are compared to those previously published for some simple examples. For some complex multi-span bridges subjected to some moving vehicles with changeable velocity and friction, the computational results, which can be regarded as a reference for engineering design and scientific research, are also given simultaneously.
An Option Pricing Analysis of Exotic Bonus Certificates—The Case of Bonus Certificates PLUS  [PDF]

In this paper we introduce a new financial product named Bonus Certificates PLUS and we provide detailed descriptions of the product specifications. We show that the payoff of a Bonus Certificates PLUS can be duplicated by the combination of a long position in the underlying asset, a short position on zero coupon bonds, a long position in down-and-out call options on the underlying asset, a long position in down-and-in call options on the underlying asset, and a long position in the down-and-out put options. We develop a pricing formula to price the certificates. A sample of ten Bonus Certificates PLUS outstanding on December 2007 is presented as an example to examine how well the model fits empirical data. The profitability in the primary market is examined and the results show that issuing Bonus Certificates PLUS is a profitable business. The results are in line with previous studies pricing other structured products. Finally, we simulate and present the sensitivities of the certificates to changes in different pricing inputs.

Abstract: People’s Bank of China created the Standing Lending Facility (SLF) in June, 2013. As a tool of monetary policy, standing lending facility is created to maintain the stabilization of monetary market and help country’s economy develop steadily. In developed countries, tools like SLF have already been used much earlier than China, so this time I will use their research methods and try to study the transmission mechanism of China’s SLF. Meantime, in the background that China is carrying forward market-based reform of interest rates, the application prospect of SLF will be at the same time discussed.
