Role of TGF-β1/Smads pathway in carotid artery remodeling in renovascular hypertensive rats and prevention by Enalapril and Amlodipine

Abstract: Objective To investigate the role of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1), Smad2/3 and Smad7 expressions in carotid artery remodeling in renovascular hypertensive rats, and also the therapeutic effect of Enalapril and Amlodipine. Methods The renovascular hypertensive rat (RHR) models with “two-kidney and one-clip” were established, including model group (n = 6), sham-operated group (n = 6), Enalapril group (10 mg/kg per day, n = 6), Amlodipine group (5 mg/kg per day, n = 6) and combination group (Amlodipine 2.5 mg/kg per day + Enalapril 5mg/kg per day, n = 6). The medication were continuous administrated for six weeks. Carotid artery morphological and structural changes in the media were observed by HE staining, Masson staining and immuno histochemical staining. Media thickness (MT), MT and lumen diameter ratio (MT/LD), and the expression levels of media α-smooth muscle actin (α-actin), proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), TGF-β1, phosphorylated Smad2/3 (p-Smad2/3) and Smad7 in carotid arteries were measured. Results The media of carotid arteries in RHR model group was significantly thickened, the volume of smooth muscle cell was increased, and the array was in disorder; MT, MT/LD, the proliferation index of smooth muscle cell and collagen fiber area percentage of carotid arteries in the model group were significantly higher than those in the sham-operated group (P < 0.01). Compared to sham-operated group, the model group had significantly higher expressions of TGF-β1 and p-Smad2/3 (P < 0.05) and lower Smad7 expression. Both Enalapril and Amlodipine improved smooth muscle hypertrophy and collagen deposition, reduced RHR carotid MT, MT/LD, proliferation index of smooth muscle cell, collagen fiber area percentage and the expressions of TGF-β1 and p-Smad2/3 (P < 0.05), increased Smad7 expression (P < 0.05). Moreover, the combination treatment of Enalapril and Amlodipine had significantly better effects than single Amlodipine group (P < 0.05), but not single Enalapril group. Conclusions TGF-β1/Smads pathway may participate in the mechanism of carotid artery remodeling in RHR; the role of Amlodipine and Enalapril in inversing carotid artery remodeling may be related to the change of TGF-β1/Smads pathway, the combination treatment of Amlodipine and Enalapril had better effects than single administration of Amlodipine.

Abstract: 摘要 目的:评价上颌窦内提升不植骨同期牙种植术的临床效果。方法:收集38例上颌窦区域牙缺失患者,采用上颌窦内提升不植骨同期牙种植手术方式,共植入58颗种植体。在植入后6个月、1年和3年随访,统计种植体的成功率以及拍摄全景片测量上颌窦成骨的高度。结果:1年时,1颗种植体未形成骨结合脱落。3年时,另1颗种植体出现松动取出。其余56颗种植体正常行使功能,3年成功率96.6%。受植区平均牙槽骨高度为(5.8±0.2) mm,术后上颌窦内提升高度为(5.1±0.3)mm。上颌窦内种植体周围见新骨形成,6个月平均成骨2.4 mm,1年平均成骨2.8 mm,3年与1年成骨无明显变化。结论:上颌窦内提升不植骨同期牙种植手术方式是可行的,上颌窦黏膜具有潜在的成骨能力

Abstract: Polychlorinated organic compounds(PCOCs),which are still produced and used heavily,are typical contaminants in soils and sediments.They bring serious harm to the environment due to their high toxicity and persistence.Thus,it is of critical significance to probe into the mechanism of PCOCs degradation and to seek the effective degradation methods.PCOCs could be dechlorinated in anaerobic conditions,thus decreasing their persistence and toxicity.The resultant lower chlorinated products from dechlorination can be sequentially degraded until completely mineralized in aerobic conditions.Starting with the process of PCOCs degradation,this article mainly reviews the mechanism of dechlorination of several typical PCOCs,i.e.,chlorinated hydrocarbon,chlorinated benzene,organic chlorinated pesticide,PCBs and PCDD/PCDF,including their processes of dechlorination and the relation between dechlorination and molecular structure.Some important influencing factors are also discussed.This article elucidates in detail that dechlorination is the key step during the degradation of PCOCs.The participation of microorganisms is particularly essential.The environmental condition,primarily including the physical and chemical characteristics of soils or sediments,brings great influence on the degradation of PCOCs.The occurrence of the dechlorination must involve the electron donors offered by the reducers,such as metals and organic carbon.Other electron acceptors also have certain effects.Finally,the application of isotopic tracing techniques to the study on the degradation mechanism of PCOCs,as well as the need of developing economical organic carbon compounds and highly effective microorganisms for the degradation of PCOCs is recommended.

Abstract: 采用Zr靶和Al2O3靶通过在Ar,N2混合气氛中进行反应磁控溅射的方法制备了不同AlON调制层厚和不同ZrN调制层厚的两个系列的ZrN/AlON纳米多层膜.利用X射线能量色散谱仪、X射线衍射仪、高分辨透射电子显微镜和微力学探针研究了多层膜的成分、微结构和力学性能.结果表明,在Ar,N2混合气氛中对Al2O3进行溅射的过程中,N原子会部分取代Al2O3中的氧原子,形成AlON化合物.在ZrN/AlON纳米多层膜中,由于受到ZrN晶体调制层的模板作用,溅射条件下以非晶态存在的AlON层在其厚度小于0.9nm时被强制晶化并与ZrN层形成共格外延生长;相应地,多层膜的硬度明显提高,最高硬度达到33.0GPa.进一步增加多层膜中AlON调制层的厚度,AlON层形成非晶结构,破坏了多层膜的共格外延生长,导致其硬度逐步降低.

Abstract: We designed and implemented a signal generator that can simulate the output of the NaI (Tl)CsI (Na) detectors pre amplifier onboard the Hard X ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT). Using the development of FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) with VHDL language and adding random constituent, we have finally produced the double exponential random pulse signal generator. The statistical distribution of signal amplitude is programmable. The occurrence time intervals of adjacent signals content negative exponential distribution statistically.

Abstract: Within the frame of the ABCD formulation for the propagators in a time-dependent quantum system, the ABCD law has been extended to the so-called effective ABCD system in which the effective beam quality factor is conservative. We discussed the system as the propagation of the atom laser beam. The effective beam quality factor and the effective parameter are introduced to obtain the effective ABCD formulation of the propagators by means of Heisenberg picture. The atom-atom interactions in the atom laser beam make the beam quality factor nonconservative, and thus the effective beam quality factor can describe the combined effect of the beam quality factor and the atom-atom interaction.

Abstract: The evolution of states of a time dependent quantum system can be supposed to be the propagation of a matter wave beam along the time coordinate. The beam width, divergence, curvature radius, quality factor and entropy were introduced to represent the matter wave beam. For a quantum system with a conservative beam quality factor, the evolutions of position operator and momentum operator are linear, the propagator is of the ABCD formulation, and the formulation of the minimum wave packet, of which the quality factor is unity, is time independent. The applications of these to quantum systems of constant potential and oscillators were also discussed.
