Abstract: As new products are generally difficult to be accepted by consumers, and the cost of initial market introduction is high, enterprises often choose to do market extension of an existing brand. Simultaneously, a successful brand extension can enhance the reputation of the original brand, and expand the brand value. But how can enterprise take a good brand extension? Through establishment of a dynamic model of brand extension under the brand relationship context, investigating the interaction mechanism between brand relationship and extension, and base on that, we developed a strategy model of interaction and improvement of brand relationship and brand extension.

The teaching strategy plays an important part in the effectiveness of the college English teaching. After comparing the current college English teaching strategies in China, this paper attempts to analyze the process teaching strategies and the cognitive teaching strategies of the novice, the proficient and the expert college English teachers at different teaching stages of teaching and proposes the optimizing path of the teaching strategies. This helps make up for the lack of research of enhancing the college English teaching strategies inChina.

Abstract: This paper proposed the scheme of transmission lines distance protection based on differential equation algorithms (DEA) and Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT). The measured impedance based on EDA is affected by various factors, such as the distributed capacitance, the transient response characteristics of current transformer and voltage transformer, etc. In order to overcome this problem, the proposed scheme applies HHT to improve the apparent impedance estimated by DEA. Empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is used to decompose the data set from DEA into the intrinsic mode functions (IMF) and the residue. This residue has monotonic trend and is used to evaluate the impedance of faulty line. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves significantly the accuracy of the estimated impedance.

This paper analyzes the connotation and the research perspectives of the match of teaching and learning styles in tertiary learners’ second language acquisition, introduces a new measuring indicator: a compatible teaching style, and proposes its achieving methods: 1) initiating a student-centered teaching style, 2) developing a proper learning style, and 3) adjusting the match of teaching and learning styles.

Abstract: Facial-width-to-height ratio (fWHR) is a kind of facial feature that based on the overall facial in-formation and can be specifically measured. fWHR is closely related to the individual aggressive. The present study reviewed previous researches on aggression and measurement of fWHR, and described the relationship between fWHR and aggression under the external and internal factors. Moreover, the researchers explained them from the perspective of cognition, physics and evolutionary. Magnetic Force Investigation of High-Tc Superconducting Bulk over Permanent Magnet Railway under Different Lateral Offsets with Experimental Methods  [PDF]

The magnetic levitation transportation system is one of the potential applications of high-Tc superconducting (HTS) maglev system. The prototype HTS magnetic levitation system is composed of one HTS bulk and a permanent magnet railway (PMR). The maglev transportation system performance is influenced by the maximum levitation force, the maximum guidance force and the maximum of external applied magnetic flux density. The applied magnetic field distribution also needs to be considered carefully. In the paper, the magnetic levitation force of cylindrical HTS bulk over PMR is experimentally studied. During the experiment, symmetrical PMR and Halbach PMR are used separately. The levitation force-gap loops of different lateral offset of the HTS bulk above PMRs are obtained experimentally. The results show that the HTS bulk levitation performance is tightly relative to the external applied magnetic field distribution. The maximum magnetic levitation forces of HTS bulk above symmetrical PMR decrease linearly with the lateral offset increasing. When the lateral offset changes from 0 mm to 25 mm, the maximum magnetic levitation forces of HTS bulk above Halbach PMR increase with the lateral offset increasing. When the lateral offset exceeds the center of the Halbach PMR by 25 mm, the maximum force decreases rapidly with the increase of the lateral offset of the bulk sample.

Abstract: In recent years, power grid has been experienced in difficult times that there is a shortage of demand load among market, and more and more black out exited that bothered residents’ normal life. With the increment of energy consumption and power load, this problem will be more serious without any feasible solutions. Besides, the air conditioning system is the largest residential energy consumer. In this report, a GSHP air conditioning system has been illustrated and compared with the conventional air conditioning system currently used in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China. The benefits of using the GSHP system are not only on cost saving, but also energy saving and eco-friendly.
Functional analysis of OAT gene in Aspergillus Niger  [PDF]

Mitochondrial oxaloacetate transporter protein encoded by OAT gene transports oxaloacetate from cytoplasm into mitochondria. To investigate the primary effects of OAT gene on relative metabolism in Aspergillus niger, a oat-deleted mutant was derived from wild-type A. niger ATCC1015 using the double-crossover chromosome replacement technique. Then batch fermentation was performed to evaluate the mutant. Compared with the wild type, the mutant showed lower organic acids production, with the experimental data that the production of pyruvate and 2-ketoglutarate decreased by 31.6% and 35.7%, respectively, and by contrast, the mutant showed higher glycerol formation. The results suggest that OAT gene plays significant roles on metabolism in A. niger.

Melatonin, as an endogenous hormone produced mainly in the pineal gland in a clear circadian fashion, has diverse physiological functions, such as the control of circadian rhythms, sleep regulation, antioxidant, etc. Recently, accumulating researches about melatonin and pain have been reported. In this review, comparison and summary about analgesic/proalgesic effect of melatonin in inflammatory and neuropathic pain will be made. Some possible pathways of melatonin involved in dual pain modulation might help to explain all these conflicting results in various situations.
