Simultaneous Sleep Transistor Insertion and Power Network Synthesis for Industrial Power Gating Designs

Abstract: Sleep transistors in industrial power-gating designs are custom designed with an optimal size. Consequently, sleep transistor P/G network optimization becomes a problem of finding the optimal number of sleep transistors and their placement as well as optimal P/G network grids, wire widths and layers. This paper presents a fake via based sleep transistor P/G network synthesis method, which addresses the requirements from industrial power-gating designs. The method produces optimal sleep transistor P/G networks by simultaneously optimizing sleep transistor insertion and placement as well as the power network grids and wires for minimum area, maximum routability with a given IR-drop target.

Abstract: In the title compound, [Cd(NO3)2(C4H5N3)2(H2O)2]·H2O, the Cd atom is seven-coordinated by two 2-aminopyrimidine molecules, two water molecules, one bidentate nitrate anion and one monodentate nitrate anion. A network of N—H...O, N—H...N and O—H...O hydrogen bonds helps to consolidate the crystal structure.

Abstract: 無 The purpose of this research was trying to understand the information seeking behavior derived from the studying and teaching informationo needs of those agricultural researchers. Concluded from the phenomena of their information seeking behavior and the factors behind, it might offer the libraries and other agricultural information service center as a reference to improve their service.   The subjects involved in this research were the agricultural teachers at National Chiayi Institute of Agriculture. In this research, there were five questions raised. By way of clarify these five questions as followed, it is possible to reach the purpose of this research.   1.What is the current studying and teaching conditions of the teachers? 2.What kind of studying and teaching situations will make the teachers have information needs? 3.What are the critical ways for the teachers to get needed literature? 4.How do the teachers use formal information channels? 5.How do the teachers use informal information channels? The data supporting this research were gathered through the methods of interview and questionnaire survey. The findings were: on teaching, the major situation having information needs for the teachers occurred when they were compiling texbook or handouts; on studying, it also happened when they wanted to complete the studies subsidized by the National Science Council, Council of Agriculture or Department of Agriculture: Taiwan Provincial Government. Effects of Ginkgo biloba extract 50 preconditioning on contents of inflammation-related cytokines in myocardium of rats with ischemia-reperfusion injury

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effects of Ginkgo biloba extract 50 (GBE50) preconditioning on contents of inflammation-related cytokines in rats with myocardial ischemia-reperfusion. Methods: Fifty-eight SD rats were divided into sham-operated group, untreated group, Salviae miltiorrhizae (SM) injection group and low-, medium- and high-dose GBE50 groups. After intragastric administration for 7 d, the left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery was occluded for 30 min followed by 60-min reperfusion to induce ischemia-reperfuion injury. Myocardium histopathologic change was observed by HE staining under a light microscope; myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity in myocardium was measured by colorimetric detection; tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and IL-8 were detected by radioimmunoassay; IL-4 and IL-10 were tested by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results: Compared with untreated group, rats in medium-dose GBE50 group had lower inflammatory reaction and MPO activity (P<0.01). GBE50 also decreased the content of IL-6 (P<0.05, P<0.01) and increased the content of IL-4 in myocardium (P<0.05, P<0.01) as compared with the untreated group. The content of TNF-α in myocardium in the medium-dose GBE50 group was lower and IL-10 was higher than those in the untreated group, but without significant differences. Conclusion: GBE50 can decrease the content of IL-6 and increase the content of IL-4 in myocardium after ischemia-reperfusion injury. It suggests that GBE50 can regulate the inflammatory reaction after ischemia-reperfusion injury via inhibiting inflammatory cytokines and promoting anti-inflammatory cytokines.
Computational Performance of the High-Resolution Atmospheric Model FAMIL

Abstract: This paper describes the model speed and model In/Out (I/O) efficiency of the high-resolution atmospheric general circulation model FAMIL (Finite-volume Atmospheric Model of IAP/LASG) at the National Supercomputer Center in Tianjin, China, on its Tianhe-1A supercomputer platform. A series of three-model-day simulations were carried out with standard Aqua Planet Experiment (APE) designed within FAMIL to obtain the time stamp for the calculation of model speed, simulation cost, and model I/O efficiency. The results of the simulation demonstrate that FAMIL has remarkable scalability below 3456 and 6144 cores, and the lowest simulation costs are 1536 and 3456 cores for 12.5 km and 6.25 km resolutions, respectively. Furthermore, FAMIL has excellent I/O scalability and an efficiency of more than 80% on 6 I/Os and more than 99% on 1536 I/Os.
Internal cancellation of spikes using two avalanche photodiodes in series for single photon detection

Abstract: We propose a method of improving the performance of InGaAs/InP avalanche photodiodes by using two avalanche photodiodes in series as single photon detectors for 1550-nm wavelength. In this method, the raw single photon avalanche signals are not attenuated, thus a high signal-to-noise ratio can be obtained compared with the existing results. The performance of the scheme is investigated and the ratio of the dark count rate to the detection efficiency is obtained to be 1.3×10-4 at 213 K.
Efficient mining probabilistic frequent itemset in uncertain databases

Abstract: The way to calculate the frequentness probability in PFIM limited its applications, it needed to scan the database for many times and generated a large number of candidate sets. This paper proposed a new algorithm named EPFIM. First, the new method of calculating the frequentness probability made it easier to update frequentness probability of itemset, and could be adapted in more situations. Second, it used uncertain probability matrix to store the database in order to scan database less. In addition, the sequence of items and deleting unwanted transactions gradually improved efficiency of mining. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show EPFIM performances better.
Influence of Electro-Deposition Methods on the Structure and Tribological Properties of Nanocrystalline Cobalt Deposit

Abstract: The nanocrystalline cobalt deposit with different structural characteristics and grain size were prepared by using different electro-deposition methods. The surface topography, and the size and the crystalline phase of the cobalt deposit were investigated by scanning elecrtron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD), respectively. The microhardness of the cobalt deposit was evaluated on MV-2T hardness tester. The friction and wear properties of the cobalt deposit were studied on a UMT-3M multifunctional friction and wear tester, and their worn surface were characterized by SEM. The results show that the size and crystalline phase of cobalt deposit, tribological properties and microhardness, were significantly affected by the electro-deposition methods. The cobalt deposit prepared by dual pulse electro-deposition had the smallest grain size, the highest microhardness and better wear resistance. The pin holes of the nanocrystalline cobalt deposit prepared by single-double pulse electro-deposition were the smallest. And this cobalt deposit also exhibited the best wear resistance and higher microhardness. These results indicate that the structure, anti-wear properties and microhardness of cobalt deposit can be controlled by controlling electro-deposition methods.

Abstract: A model of the laser-diode pumped solid-state laser is developed to deduce the minimum average radii of the pump beam in the solid medium, since the smaller the cavity waist, the higher the laser output power is expected to be. With an appropriate coupling system consisting of the collimating lens, prism pair and focusing lens, a diode-pumped single-frequency Nd:YVO4/KTP intracavity frequency-doubling cw laser has been demonstrated through the precise temperature control of the Nd:YVO4 crystal, the KTP crystal and the diode laser. The 532nm single-frequency output power of 40.4mW (in fact 55mW if the reflection loss of the triangular prism is taken into account) is obtained for an incident power of 515mW. It is derived theoretically and is verified in experiment that the frequency drift of the free-running laser can be reduced by increasing the cavity length.

Abstract: Measured sampled 6 754 active hosts at 7 measure sources with technology of distributed active measurement at the same time. The measurement returned 32 893 effective datas totally.After analyzing these datas,gave the Chinese Internet router-level hop count distribution and calculated the un-weighted average hop count was 14.938 89 and the weighted average hop count was 15.613 73.
