A minimum-energy path-preserving topology control algorithm for wireless sensor networks

Abstract: The topology control strategies of wireless sensor networks are very important for reducing the energy consumption of sensor nodes and prolonging the life-span of networks. In this paper, we put forward a minimum-energy path-preserving topology control (MPTC) algorithm based on a concept of none k-redundant edges. MPTC not only resolves the problem of excessive energy consumption because of the unclosed region in small minimum-energy communication network (SMECN), but also preserves at least one minimum-energy path between every pair of nodes in a wireless sensor network. We also propose an energy-efficient reconfiguration protocol that maintains the minimum-energy path property in the case where the network topology changes dynamically. Finally, we demonstrate the performance improvements of our algorithm through simulation. Jin-Zhao Lin received the B.A. degree in wireless engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University, PRC in 1991, and the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees of circuit and system from Chongqing University, PRC in 1995 and 2001, respectively. He had also a 3 year post-doctor experience in automation science and engineering. He is now a full professor in Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and a part-time professor in Chongqing University. His research interests include signal processing, wireless communication, and mobile network. Xian Zhou received the M.A. degree in communication and information system from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, PRC in 2008. She is currently a Ph. D. candidate in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, PRC. Her research interests include sensor networks and fiber communication. Yun Li received the B.A. and M.A. degrees from Southwest University and Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, PRC in 1997 and 2000, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from University of Electronic Science and Technology, PRC in 2004. He is currently a full professor in Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications. His research interests include wireless networks.
Study on Government Management Mechanism of Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction

Abstract: Energy conservation and emission reduction is essential to suitable development and economic development in harmony with the environment. Building the government management mechanism of energy conservation and emission reduction has become an important task of government reforms. Study the retraining factors of energy conservation and emission reduction, and propose legal guarantees, management innovation, technology innovation, service system construction and upgrading of industrial structure are the critical factors to energy conservation and emission reduction management mechanism‘s performance. Then discuss the critical factors deeply. Improve the special legislation, department law linkage and strengthening law enforcement supervision are essential to providing legal guarantees for energy conservation and emission reduction; comprehensive evaluation system and strict control system are essential to management innovation; policy guide and comprehensive utilization is essential to technology innovation; positive policy guide for development of consultation industry is the main task of energy conservation and emission reduction service system construction; high and new technology industries, elimination of outdated production capacity and development of recycling economy are useful for upgrading of industrial structure.
Development of U.S. Lodging Industry and its Implication

Abstract: This article reviews the development of U.S. lodging industry and its implications, it shows the high degree of concentration in some aspects related to development of U.S. lodging industry such as market size, major players, and customer types.. And then further analyses the factors and its implications that influencing the lodging industry of US, it mainly was studied from the aspects of economic, social and technological sides. Finally forecasts the key trends of the lodging industry. Key words: Development, Influence Factor, Issue, Trend Résumé: Cet article passe en revue le développement de l’industrie de logement des Etat-Unis et son implication. Cette rétrospective montre la concentration de haut niveau sous certains aspects relatifs au développement de cette industrie tels que la dimension du marché, les acteurs principaux et les types des clients. Et puis l’article analyse les facteurs et ses implications qui influent l’industrie de logement des Etat-Unis dans les perspectives économique, sociale et technologique. Useful Aspects of US Real Estate Investment Trusts for China

Abstract: Real estate has long been a popular form of investment in many countries. With recent years seeing an increased level of global interest in indirect investment in this asset class through real estate investment trusts (REITs), opportunities in China markets are now grabbing much attention. China is being tipped as the area likely to offer the best returns over the coming years. This article traces the development and growth of REITs in US, where there are lessons to be learnt, so that subsequent efforts to introduce REITS’ status, requirements, types and advantages. Further more, benefits, key evaluating elements, risks and obstacles were discussed respectively in order to promote practice and application of REITs in China and avoid risks in applying process to create a reasonable framework and structure. Key Words: REIT, Development, Benefit, Evaluation, Risk, Obstacle Résumé: L’immobilier est depuis lontemps une forme d’investissement populaire dans beaucoup de pays. Dans les dernières années avec le constat d’un niveau élevé de l’intérêt global des investissements directs dans cette industrie à travers le REITs(Real Estate Investment Trusts), les opportunités sur le marché chinois tirent maintenant beaucoup plus d’attention. La Chine est considérée comme la région susceptible de rapporter le plus dans les prochaines années. L’article présent décrit le développement du REITs aux Etats-Unis qui nous donne des le ons et indique des efforts à faire pour introduire le REITs en ce qui concerne son statut, ses conditons, ses types et ses avantages. De plus, les bénéfices, éléments clés d’évaluation, risques et obstacle seront étudiés respectivement dans le but de promouvoir la pratique et l’application du REITs en Chine et d’éviter les risques dans le processus d’application afin de créer un cadre raisonnable. Abstract: The role of the Human Resource Manager is evolving with the change in competitive market environment and it must be realized that that Human Resource Management must play a more strategic role in the success of an organization. A combined approach of literature review, periodical browsing, the application of Databases was used in this paper in order to analyze the changes of HRM in hotel industry. Firstly, the paper the challenges that hotel industry faced with and then, innovations related to HRM are put forward from the perspectives of managing diversity, improving motivation, building effective teamwork, managing change, balancing ethics and human resource management and linking the corporation culture with the strategy. That is the best way to be successful. Key words: human resource management, challenge, innovation Résumé: Le r le du directeur des ressources humaines évolue avec le changement de l’environnement compétitif du marché et la connaissance que le management des ressources humaines doit jouer un r le stratégique dans le succès d’une organisation. A Multicolour Photometric Study of the neglected eclipsing binary FT Ursae Majoris

Abstract: The multicolour photometric observations of the neglected eclipsing binary FT Ursae Majoris (FT UMa) were obtained in 2010. The 2003 version of Wilson-Devinney code was used to analyze the light curves in $B$, $V$, and $R$ bands simultaneously. Based on the spectroscopic mass ratio $q=0.984$ published by Pribulla et al., it is found that FT UMa is an evolved contact binary with a contact degree of 15.3%. The low amplitude of light variations, $\sim 0.15$ mag, arises mainly from a moderately low inclination angle of $i=62.^{\circ}80$ and almost identical components in size rather than the light dilution of a third component, which contributes light of only $\sim 10%$

Abstract: 长期以来,CW电报通信都靠人工操作来完成,难以满足大容量、高速度的要求,如何实现CW电报的自动检测与识别,减少人为因素的影响,提高其有效性是当前高频CW电报研究的重要课题.在强噪声背景下,高频CW信号的包络检波检测法难以有效跟踪信号波形.检测性能严重下降.针对此问题,提出了一种基于Kalman滤波的微弱CW信号检测方法.该方法首先采用Kalman滤波器实时捕捉CW信号,恢复信号波形,再运用复数谱方差识别干扰信号与CW信号,提取出纯净的CW信号.实验表明:该方法能够在强噪声背景下有效地检测出CW信号,具有更高的识别率,且算法简单,实时性强,可用于指导高频CW电报自动接收设备的研制.
Study for improved DV-Hop localization algorithm in WSN

Abstract: This paper introduced the localization principle and the error source of DV-Hop algorithm in the wireless sensor networks. To overcome the disadvantage of DV-Hop algorithm when it was used to compute the distance of unknown nodes and beacon nodes, worked out an improved algorithm which was based on analyzing the error between estimated distance and real distance of beacon nodes. The improved algorithm revised the average distance of each hop in networks and the area range of estimated coordinate of unknown nodes. Results of the simulation show that the improved algorithm has a better performance than the original algorithm in localization accuracy at the same network environment.

Abstract: 针对节点功率非对称的无线传感器网络中的隐终端问题,提出在RTS/CTS机制基础上增加广播Bandwidth Reservation(BRES)消息的改进协议。在改进协议中,通信节点的邻居节点根据侦听到的CTS消息动态广播BRES消息,使得与通信节点连接非对称的高功率节点在接收到BRES消息后推迟自身发送任务,从而避免了隐终端问题。仿真结果表明:相比SMAC协议,改进协议减少了低功率节点的数据冲突并降低了其到目的节点的端到端延迟,提高了低功率节点和网络的吞吐量。
