Abstract: Depression is characterized by a negativity bias which is a stable factor of it. The bias reflects enhanced bottom-up responses to affective stimuli,linked to deficits in amygdala and fusiform gyrus function. Spin structure factor and thermodynamics in the antiferromagnetic quantum Ising model in the pyrochlore lattice

Abstract: We numerically compute the temperature dependence of spin structure factor and thermodynamic quantities in the antiferromagnetic quantum Ising model in the pyrochlore lattice. This model exhibits spin disorder ground state with exponentially-decayed spin correlation. We reproduce the temperature dependence of the pinch point structure in the neutron scattering experiment and correct entropy obtained from the measurement of the specific heat.

Abstract: We set a preliminary 95% C.L. exclusion on the oscillation frequency of $B_s^0 - \bar{B_s^0}$ mixing using a sample of 400,000 hadronic $Z^0$ decays collected by the SLD experiment at the SLC during the 1996-98 run. Three analyses are presented in this paper. The first analysis partially reconstructs the $B_s^0$ by combining a fully reconstructed $D_s$ with the remaining charged B decay tracks. The second analysis selects a sample of events with a partially reconstructed charm vertex and a lepton track. The third analysis reconstructs b-hadrons topologically and exploits the $b \to c$ cascade charge structure to determine the flavor of the b-hadron at decay. All three analyses take advantage of the large forward-backward asymmetry of the polarized $Z^0 \to b \bar{b}$ decays and information in the hemisphere opposite to the reconstructed B vertex to determine the b-hadron flavor at production. The results of the three analyses are combined to exclude the following values of the $B_s^0 - \bar{B_s^0}$ oscillation frequency: $\Delta m_s < 7.6 ps^{-1}$ and $11.8 < \Delta m_s < 14.8 ps^{-1}$ at the 95% confidence level.
Status of the Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Oscillation Experiment

Abstract: The last unknown neutrino mixing angle $\theta_{13}$ is one of the fundamental parameters of nature; it is also a crucial parameter for determining the sensitivity of future long-baseline experiments aimed to study CP violation in the neutrino sector. Daya Bay is a reactor neutrino oscillation experiment designed to achieve a sensitivity on the value of $sin^2(2\theta_{13})$ to better than 0.01 at 90% CL. The experiment consists of multiple identical detectors placed underground at different baselines to minimize systematic errors and suppress cosmogenic backgrounds. With the baseline design, the expected anti-neutrino signal at the far site is about 360 events per day and at each of the near sites is about 1500 events per day. An overview and current status of the experiment will be presented.
Non-magnetic Stern-Gerlach Experiment from Electron Diffraction

Abstract: Using the wave nature of the electrons, we demonstrate that a transverse spin current can be generated simply by the diffraction through a single slit in the spin-orbital coupling system of the two-dimensional electron gas. The diffracted electron picks up the transverse momentum. The up spin electron goes one way and the down spin electron goes the other, producing the coherent spin current. In the system of spin-orbital coupling $\sim10^{-13}$ eV$\cdot$m, the \emph{out-of-plane} component of the spin of the electron can be generated up to 0.42 $\hbar$. Based on this effect, a novel device of grating to distill spin is designed. Two first diffraction peaks of electron carry different spins, duplicating the non-magnetic version of Stern-Gerlach experiment. The direction of the spin current can be controlled by the gate voltage with low energy cost.
Spin Distribution in Diffraction Pattern of Two-dimensional Electron Gas with Spin-orbit Coupling

Abstract: Spin distribution in the diffraction pattern of two-dimensional electron gas by a split gate and a quantum point contact is computed in the presence of the spin-orbit coupling. After diffracted, the component of spin perpendicular to the two-dimensional plane can be generated up to 0.42 $\hbar$. The non-trivial spin distribution is the consequence of a pure spin current in the transverse direction generated by the diffraction. The direction of the spin current can be controlled by tuning the chemical potential.

Dielectric and Piezoelectric Properties of Sodium Bismuth Titanate Ceramics with KCe Substitution

Abstract: The piezoelectric properties of the (KCe)-substituted sodium bismuth titanate (Na0.5Bi4.5Ti4O15, NBT) piezoelectric ceramics are investigated. The piezoelectric properties of NBT ceramics are significantly enhanced by (KCe) substitution. The Curie temperature Tc, and piezoelectric coefficient d33 for the (KCe)-substituted NBT are found to be 663oC, and 27pC/N, respectively. Dielectric and annealing spectroscopy resent that the (KCe) co-substituted NBT piezoelectric ceramics possess stable piezoelectric properties.

Abstract: 采用食下毒叶法在室内测定了二甲戊乐灵、异丙甲草胺、草甘膦铵盐等16种除草剂对家蚕的急性毒性,并根据其毒性范围进行分极,评价了其对环境的安全性. 结果表明,10%啶嘧磺隆可湿性粉剂96h LC50为5.58mg·kg-1(桑叶),属于高毒;50%草甘膦可溶粉剂和80%莠灭净可湿性粉剂96h LC50分别为68.17mg·kg-1(桑叶)和111.75mg·kg-1(桑叶),属于中毒;其它13种药剂的LC50>200mg·kg-1(桑叶),属于低毒.
