An Optimal Algorithm for Over-the-Air Reprogramming Protocol in WSNs  [PDF]

Abstract: The over-the-air reprogramming has played an important role in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), and has been widely researched. But the problems of low efficiency and high energy consumption have brought new challenges to the research. This paper presents an optimal algorithm, it is targeted to address the problem of relatively low efficiency and high energy consumption in over-the-air reprogramming in WSNs. Simulation results demonstrate that the optimal algorithm can improve the efficiency of over-the-air reprogramming in WSNs, and make the energy consumption in network not only lower but more balanced.
Dynamic Stability Analysis and Forecast of Surface Mine Dump  [PDF]

Abstract: Malugou Dump is close to Jinduicheng Molybdenum surfaces mine and affected by blasting vibration all its lifetime, it is meaningful to monitor the blasting vibration and analyze the stability of dump under blasting vibration so as to ensure the safety of the dump. Firstly, dynamic test was done about Malugou Dump. Then dynamic stability analysis of the dump is simulated with Geo-studio software. The results show that the present blasting vibration has little effect on the dump and the safety factor of dump under blasting vibration is about 1.158, which indicates that Malugou Dump is safe. At last, the relationship between safety factor and maximum single explosion charge, the horizontal distance between monitoring points and blast source and elevation difference is obtained by simulating and regressing, which can be used as a guidance of production blasting in Jinduicheng Molybdenum mine.

Commercial health & fitness clubs are providing an important kind of sporting service. On the basis of questionnaires and interviews with relevant research results, consumers of health & fitness clubs in Liverpool area are studied about their structures including ages, genders, etc., motivation of consumption, and consumption level as well as demand characteristics. Through impressing on the wheel of consumer behavior model, the factors affecting consumer behavior are also analyzed. The most predictable and accessible segments like young adult, affluent, health or appearance conscious consumers are concluded; their lifestyles easily integrate to leisure activities, and time pressure or financial costs are their key concerns. Targeting marketing strategies of the clubs are suggested accordingly in order to design service channel, price reasonably, communicate with consumers and provide satisfying environment.

According to the foreign literatures and the past solution of tourist harassment, this paper emphasizes the importance of tourist harassment. “No harassment” can be a bright spot of destination marketing. The purpose of this paper is to propose a new and novel solution for destination marketing in a different prospect. The situation without production innovation can be promoted by the idea of traveling with no harassment.

Abstract: By briefly reviewing relevant theories and studies about marketing channel evaluation and directing at the channel characteristics of painting material industry, this paper discusses how enterprises choose competitive marketing channels from the angle of brand building. Studies are carried out from three aspects which are economic efficiency, stability and expansibility of channels, and an evaluation index system of selecting channel members in painting material industry is established. Besides, comprehensive evaluation is conducted for distribution efficiency, transaction cost, cooperative intention, operation capacity, competitive capacity and sustainable development capacity of channels through 18 indexes. Moreover, evaluation model of channel selection in painting material industry is constructed via analytic hierarchy process.

Abstract: With the development of information technology, it’s possible to deliver advertising more accurately. Online behavioral advertising (OBA) is a kind of advertising which tracks individual online behavior in order to deliver advertising tailored to his or her interests. However, consumers still avoid advertising with more precise delivery. We can’t find out the measures which decrease OBA avoidance unless we know about the factors that influence the avoidance. This paper reviewed researches about advertising avoidance and built the model of OBA avoidance combining the characteristics of OBA. Goal Impediment, Perceived Personalization and Privacy Concern are the inde-pendent variables and Negative Experience is the intervening variable. The empirical study finds that Goal Impediment and Privacy Concern are related to OBA avoidance positively, and Perceived Personalization is related to OBA avoidance negatively.

Abstract: In Highly professional and complicated industries, the enterprises usually anticipate improving their product or service knowledge system through customer education to let consumers perceive the value and usability of products or service better. Based on retrospection into related research literature, the decision-making process of Chinese fund investors are deeply studied by taking fund investors as the research objects and keeping foothold in service-dominant logic this paper. Thus, the relation among dimensions of fund investor customer expertise and perceived value is built by beginning with the customer’s resource. Through study on 309 Chinese fund investors, it’s found that there is positive correlation among dimensions of customer expertise and perceived value, and the robustness of regression analysis is very good. The conclusion of the research has certain guiding significance for the fund management company to provide professional training to the customers and those with different expertise level.

Abstract: Though manifold learning has been success-fully applied in wide areas, such as data visu-alization, dimension reduction and speech rec-ognition; few researches have been done with the combination of the information theory and the geometrical learning. In this paper, we carry out a bold exploration in this field, raise a new approach on face recognition, the intrinsic α-Rényi entropy of the face image attained from manifold learning is used as the characteristic measure during recognition. The new algorithm is tested on ORL face database, and the ex-periments obtain the satisfying results.
Exploring the Non-Symmetry of Word Derivation in Chinese-English Translation—“Wenming” for “Civilization”  [PDF]

The western thoughts have brought many new ideas to China in 19th century, and influenced the words’ meanings of Chinese words system. The Chinese-English translated terms and their different derivations bridge the gap between different cultures. The scholar translated English word “civilization” into Chinese word “wenming”. “Wenming” is derived from “wen” and “ming”. “Wen” means “People feel and experience the nature by heart, and then painting and describing things, at last, one can obtain knowledge through this process”. “Ming” means “based on wen, people are conducted to the correct direction, and become enlightened and civilized”. “Civilization” is derived from “civil”. And “civil”, “civis”, “civitas” and “civilitas” have the same word origin. The radical factors of the meaning of the word “civilization” are “make” and “development”. They focused on the “town” and “city”, namely, the process of cumulating wealth and remolding the nature through human being intervening in nature actively. The different word derivations between “wenming” and “civilization” disclose the differences of the location and culture when the modern thought of civilization was pervading the whole world. At the same time, with the semantic developing of “wenming”, it has the similar concept connotation with “civilization”, so it displays the compatible property and makes it possible for translation between two language units.

Long-Period InAs/GaSb Type-II Superlattices for Terahertz Application  [PDF]

Abstract: We present a theoretical study on the terahertz (THz) optoelectronic properties of long-period InAs/GaSb type-II super lattices (SLs). The eight-band k·p model is used to calculate the electronic structures of such SLs and on the basis of band structures, the Boltzmann equation approach is employed to calculate the optical absorption coefficients for the corresponding SL systems. It is found that long-period InAs/GaSb type-II SLs have a considerable absorption in the THz bandwidth. By examining the dependence of THz absorption coefficient on the InAs/GaSb layer widths, we demonstrate that with a proper choice of InAs/GaSb layer widths, an optimized THz absorption can be achieved. This study is pertinent to the potential application of InAs/GaSb type-II SLs as THz photo detectors.
