On Over-Relaxed Proximal Point Algorithms for Generalized Nonlinear Operator Equation with (A,η,m)-Monotonicity Framework  [PDF]

Abstract: In this paper, a new class of over-relaxed proximal point algorithms for solving nonlinear operator equations with (A,η,m)-monotonicity framework in Hilbert spaces is introduced and studied. Further, by using the generalized resolvent operator technique associated with the (A,η,m)-monotone operators, the approximation solvability of the operator equation problems and the convergence of iterative sequences generated by the algorithm are discussed. Our results improve and generalize the corresponding results in the literature.

In this paper, we consider the initial boudary value problem for modified Zakharov system in 3 dimensions with small initial condition. By using the continuity lemma and the linear interpolation theory, together with the properties of Sobolev spaces and the Galerkin method, we obtain the existence and uniqueness of the global solution.

This experiment aims to summarize the regular pattern of low-carbon catalytic combustion furnace of natural gas used in glazed tile heating. The tiles used for decorating which are heated by catalytic combustion furnace are more fine and glossy than the conventional ones, moreover, pollutant emission produced in productive process is much less than before. This conclusion may provide a new way to glazed tile heating industry, and at the same time, provide a general method of using the catalytic combustion furnace.

Computer Assisted Pathway Generation for Atrazine Degradation in Advanced Oxidation Processes  [PDF]

Abstract: A model was developed to generate the complex degradation pathway of contaminants initiated by hydroxyl radical in the advanced oxidation processes. The model abstracts chemical structures into mathematic graphs. The manipulation of the graphs enumerates the reactions among the large number of molecules, radicals, and other intermediates in the advanced oxidation processes. Using Canonical Simplified Molecular Input Line Entry Specification (Canonical SMILE) representation, the algorithm was able to simulate the reaction of contaminants containing both chain and ring structures. The input chemicals, reaction pattern, and the reaction rules could be specified by users through a graphical user interface. The degradation pathway of Atrazine was used as an example to demonstrate the capability of the algorithm. The generated reaction pathways were compared with those reported in literatures.
B-Spline Approximation of Ship Waves on the Free Surface  [PDF]

We consider the problem of a ship advancing in waves. In this method, the zone of free surface in the vicinity of body is discretized. On the discretized surface, the first-order and second-order derivatives of ship waves are represented by the B-Spline formulae. Different ship waves are approximated by cubic B-spline and the first and second order derivates of incident waves are calculated and compared with analytical value. It approves that this numerical method has sufficient accuracy and can be also applied to approximate the velocity potential on the free surface.
