Analytic solution of Riccati equations occurring in open-loop Nash multiplayer differential games

Abstract: In this paper we present explicit analytic solutions of coupled Riccati matrix differential systems appearing in open-loop Nash games. Two different cases are considered. Firstly, by means of appropriate algebraic transformations the problem is decoupled so that an explicit solution of the problem is available. The second is based on the existence of a solution of a rectangular Riccati type algebraic matrix equation associated with the problem.
Species-Level Differences in Hyperspectral Metrics among Tropical Rainforest Trees as Determined by a Tree-Based Classifier

Abstract: This study explores a method to classify seven tropical rainforest tree species from full-range (400–2,500 nm) hyperspectral data acquired at tissue (leaf and bark), pixel and crown scales using laboratory and airborne sensors. Metrics that respond to vegetation chemistry and structure were derived using narrowband indices, derivative- and absorption-based techniques, and spectral mixture analysis. We then used the Random Forests tree-based classifier to discriminate species with minimally-correlated, importance-ranked metrics. At all scales, best overall accuracies were achieved with metrics derived from all four techniques and that targeted chemical and structural properties across the visible to shortwave infrared spectrum (400–2500 nm). For tissue spectra, overall accuracies were 86.8% for leaves, 74.2% for bark, and 84.9% for leaves plus bark. Variation in tissue metrics was best explained by an axis of red absorption related to photosynthetic leaves and an axis distinguishing bark water and other chemical absorption features. Overall accuracies for individual tree crowns were 71.5% for pixel spectra, 70.6% crown-mean spectra, and 87.4% for a pixel-majority technique. At pixel and crown scales, tree structure and phenology at the time of image acquisition were important factors that determined species spectral separability.

Abstract: to administer oral oily compounds such as lipid extracts of natural origin, volatile essential oils and liposoluble vitamins, it is necessary that presentation be in soft capsulae. an alternative to this form of presentation is the microencapsulation being a solution to modify the physical state and to achieve a solid form for its oral administration. this alternative allows masking the smell and the unpleasant flavor of oral products ant also to protect the oxidation of fatty acids present. the aspersion dry is one of the more used methods at industrial scale to microcapsulae achievement. because of its increasing use in pharmaceutical industry in present paper is gathered the art of state in the use of this technology for oily substances microencapsulation.
Solving higher order Fuchs type differential systems avoiding the increase of the problem dimension

Abstract: In this paper, we develop a Frobenius matrix method for solving higher order systems of differential equations of the Fuchs type. Generalized power series solution of the problem are constructed without increasing the problem dimension. Solving appropriate algebraic matrix equations a closed form expression for the matrix coefficient of the series are found. By means of the concept of a k-fundamental set of solutions of the homogeneous problem an explicit solution of initial value problems are given.

By means of the concept of co-solution of certain algebraic equations associated to the problem, an analytical solution of initial value problems for coupled systems of second order differential-difference equations is constructed.

Abstract: Para administrar por vía oral compuestos oleosos como los extractos lipídicos de origen natural, los aceites esenciales volátiles y las vitaminas liposolubles, se hace necesario presentarlos en forma de cápsulas blandas. Una alternativa a esta forma de presentación es la microencapsulación, que ofrece una solución para modificar el estado físico y presentarlos en una forma sólida para su administración por vía oral. Esta alternativa permite enmascarar el olor y sabor desagradable de productos que van a ser administrados por vía oral, además de proteger de la oxidación a los ácidos grasos presentes. El secado por aspersión es uno de los métodos más utilizados a escala industrial para la obtención de microcápsulas. Debido a su creciente uso en la industria farmacéutica, en el presente trabajo se recopila el estado del arte en el uso de esta tecnología para la microencapsulación de sustancias oleosas. La migración de la población hablante de lengua indígena en el sureste mexicano

Abstract: Sin duda, México es un país de grandes contrastes geográficos, económicos, demográficos y culturales, en los que la diversidad étnica y el carácter pluricultural sobresalen entre el conjunto de características principales del país. En consecuencia, su situación demográfica exhibe una enorme heterogeneidad que se muestra especialmente cuando se trata de los grupos étnicos; así la realidad migratoria de este sector de la población, y en particular del establecido en la zona del Istmo, resulta menos intensa que las migraciones correspondientes a los sectores no pertenecientes a alguna etnia en específico. Dada la temática de la Tercera Conferencia Internacional de Población del Istmo Centroamericano, 2003, en este artículo se ha tomado como centro de interés a los estados de Campeche, Quintana Roo y Yucatán que conforma la zona económica de la península de Yucatán, y a los estados de Tabasco y Chiapas, y se usará la denominación región sureste del país para aludir al conglomerado de estos cinco estados. Por otra parte, a pesar de reconocer que el concepto indígena abarca muchos más elementos que simplemente hablar una lengua autóctona, durante el desarrollo de este trabajo se utilizarán los términos indígenas, pueblos indígenas y grupos étnicos, para referir a la población que ha sido clasificada como tal, en consideración al criterio lingüístico. Este documento contiene una serie de reflexiones sobre los flujos migratorios de los diferentes grupos étnicos del sureste mexicano y de su influencia en la determinación del volumen de este grupo de población.
