Abstract: O presente estudo tem como objetivo discutir se é necessária a forma o em Educa o Especial, como aponta a legisla o, para a atua o do pedagogo na Classe Hospitalar. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa de fundamenta o fenomenológica, que buscou, por meio de entrevistas com duas professoras que atuam em Classe Hospitalar, analisar e discutir a pertinência ou n o da forma o em Educa o Especial na atua o profissional do pedagogo no hospital. Formar-se professor de Classe Hospitalar parece ser um aprendizado que vai muito além dos ensinamentos adquiridos na gradua o em Pedagogia e nas antigas habilita es em Educa o Especial, hoje extintas, sendo que a forma o continuada deve encontrar-se presente para e na atua o do professor da Classe Hospitalar. O estudo mostrou que há a necessidade de mais pesquisas referentes à forma o de professores para atua o em Classe Hospitalar. Santos, José S. dos;Santos, Maria Lúcia P. dos;Alexandrino, Daniela Marques;
Journal of the Brazilian Chemical Society , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-50532011000800004
Abstract: in this study, the influence of the rainfall variability in the salinization process in surface water reservoirs located in two distinct regions in southwestern bahia, brazil was evaluated with basis in the temporal variation of electric conductivity (ec), sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium contents on the water samples collected in the reservoirs. two reservoirs built on ocean watercourses were chosen: the anagé reservoir, situated in the semi-arid zone and the água fria reservoir, located in the atlantic forest transition zone. the determination of na, k, ca and mg were carried out by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (faas). the result obtained from this study indicates that the circulation and distribution of the chemical species in both water systems are relatively well defined. however, the water from the anagé reservoir presented the largest variations in the values of the electric conductivity and sodium adsorption ratio (sar) between of two collection periods, demonstrated a larger influence of the rain regime in the water quality of reservoir located in semi-arid zones.
Comparative study of metal contents in Brazilian coffees cultivated by conventional and organic agriculture applying principal component analysis
Santos, José S. dos;Santos, Maria Lúcia P. dos;Conti, Melina M.;
Journal of the Brazilian Chemical Society , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-50532010000800009
Abstract: the aim of this study was to evaluate of availability of nutrients and toxic elements in green coffees produced in traditional, technological and transitional organic farms in southwest bahia-brazil. levels of the nutrients minerals were determined directly in samples of soils and coffee tissues from four farms by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (faas) and toxic elements (cr, ni, cd and pb) by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (icp oes). the application of statistical methods (cluster and principal components analysis) revealed the importance of the conversion period to guarantee a product genuinely organic during the change to organic agriculture. on the other hand, the study of correlations between agricultural methods and metals concentrations in coffee suggested that cd, cu, zn and other toxic elements contained in some inorganic fertilizers used in the traditional and technological coffee farms may cause an increase of toxic metals concentration in the crop soil, be taken up by plants, and passed on in the food chain.

Investiga??es em Ensino de Ciências , 2010,
Abstract: In this article, we begin with a special section dedicated to identifying and describing the challenges that teacher-educators are likely to encounter, as they design and implement a programme to help teachers learn new paradigms of teaching and learning, in the context of the improvement of Science teaching. Thus, we understand that not only the teachers will need to reconstruct their knowledge, but, as well, the teacher- educators who, will need to check their craft. Subject to the perspective of theoretical and methodological review, we present, in this first step, an explanation of a instrument to help the analysis of a professional development programme for Science teacher educators, in the context of integration between the Faculty of Education, University of S o Paulo, the Regional Directory of Teaching and the Public Schools. As a result, we identify the main aspects that such a programme needs to include, for the professional development of its participants, in order to facilitate the enhancement of Science teaching in primary schools.

Santos, S?nia Maria Soares dos;Oliveira, Magda Lúcia Félix de;
Revista Latino-Americana de Enfermagem , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-11692009000400014
Abstract: the main objective of this study was to measure the knowledge of undergraduate nursing students about acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (aids) and drugs. the study was carried out in 2007 with a random sample of 289 undergraduate students at a state university in the northwest of paraná, brazil. the students self-applied a questionnaire validated by experts. questions were divided into three levels of complexity: low, average and high. the level of correct answers was higher in the questions of low complexity, diminishing as the questions' complexity increased. thirteen percent of questions concerning risk factors and vulnerability to hiv infection among injection drug users (idu) and biological material for diagnosis of aids was correctly answered by 90% of students. students possessed knowledge concerning aids and drugs, however such knowledge was considered insufficient, showing lack of information and gaps in education with a dissociation of interdisciplinary and inter-curricular content.
