ANTI-OBESITY PROPERTY OF HEXANE EXTRACT FROM THE LEAVES OF GYMNEMA SYLVESTRE IN HIGH FED CAFETERIA DIET INDUCED OBESITY RATS

Abstract: The hexane extract of leaves of Gymnema sylvestre was evaluated for its anti-obesity activity in the simplified high fed cafeteria diet induced obesity in Sprague dawley rats. Group-I (normal control) were fed on only basal diet without any treatment, Group-II (obesity control) were induced obesity and only on basal diet without any treatment, Group-III and Group IV were induced obesity and treated with hexane fraction of Gymnema sylvestre (150 mg/kg and 250 mg/kg body weight) respectively. Group V were induced obesity and treated with Atorvastatin as a standard drug. A significant (P>0.001) reduce in increased body weight, temperature due to obesity was observed after 45th day of treatment as compared to the normal and standard group. The extract also improved the cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL and HDL level. Blood samples were collected from retro-orbital plexus. Observed data was found statistically significant in reduction of extract-treated obesity rats. The effect of the extract was comparable to that of standard drug Atorvastatin (50mg/kg body weight).

Abstract: Objective: Clinical trial is an inextricable link between advances in medical research technology and improved health care. It is a component of medical health research intended to produce knowledge valuable for understanding human disease, preventing and treating illness and promoting health, the present study investigated the facts of clinical trials and to highlight the features of e-clinical trials through information technology system. Methodology: The study has been carried out using secondary data from different sources which includes official website of the clinical trial gov and ublished articles. Results: Challenges encountered by the harmaceutical industry in the research and development of clinical trial process include design of clinical trial, lack of pidemiological data in specific time, problems in assessing clinicalrelevance and cost-effectiveness, lack of knowledge and training, and high prices. Conclusion: This paper puts forward certain suggestion in order to strengthen the e-clinical trials. Under the eclinicaltrial process the pharmaceutical industry has to achieve a great success in development of clinical data in the patients of various diseases and has brought them a great relief.

Abstract: The special interest attached to the chemistry of metal carbonyls arises from several causes. While quite distinct from the metal carbonyls in the organometallic compounds, they differ in physical properties (e.g., their volatility) from all other compounds of the transition metals. Chemically, they constitute a group of compounds in which the formal valency of the metal atoms is zero, and in this respect (apart, perhaps, from the ammoniates of the alkali metals) they are comparable only with the recently discovered compounds. As a class, the carbonyls are reactive compounds, and a number of new types of inorganic compounds have been discovered. In the concepts for new products, performance, product safety, and product economy criteria are equally important. They are taken into account already when the raw material base for a new industrial product development is defined. Since the discovery of nickel carbonyl by Mond and Langer in 1888, the carbonyls of the iron group and of chromium, molybdenum and tungsten have found important technical applications, e.g., in the Mond nickel process, and for the preparation of the metals in a state of subdivision and of purity suitable for powder metallurgy, for catalysts, etc. The reaction mechanism of the processes developed for producing the carbonyls technically has only recently received its interpretations. Within the space of review it is necessary to limit discussion to a few topics. Particular stress has accordingly laid upon (a) the chemical bonding in metal carbonyls, (b) importance of IR and NMR spectroscopy in characterization of metal carbonyls, (c) substitution reactions of G-VIb metal carbonyls, (d) kinetics and mechanism of substitution reactions in metal carbonyls, (e) substituted complexes of G-VIb metal carbonyl, (f) chelate complexes of G-VIb metal carbonyls, (g) uses of G-VIb metal carbonyl complexes and (h) studies done on G-VIb metal carbonyls.

The synthesized complexes exhibit variable degree ofantibacterial activity. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR,[1H]-NMR spectroscopy and magnetic studies. The spectroscopic studies suggest abidentate behavior of the ligand via pyrimidine-N and imine-N donor atoms with themetal (0).

The synthesized complexes exhibit variable degree of antibacterial activity. The 1complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, [ H]-NMR spectroscopy and magnetic studies. The spectroscopic studies suggest a tridentate behavior of the ligand with the metal (0).

Abstract:

ADPKD is an inherited systemic disorder that predominantly affects the kidney, but may affect other organs including liver, pancreas, brain, and arterial blood vessel. APKPD occurs worldwide affecting about 1 in 500 - 1000 people. Hypertension is the most common manifestation of ADPKD and the major contributor to renal disease progression. A definite diagnosis of ADPKD relies on image testing. Renal ultrasound is commonly used because of its cost effectiveness.

New Single Input Multiple Output Type Current Mode Biquad Filter Using OTAs  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper presents a new current mode (CM) single-input and multi-output (SIMO)-type biquad using two multiple output OTAs and one current follower as an active device and having two grounded capacitors. This SIMO type circuit realizes all the five filter functions as low pass, band pass, high pass, band reject and all pass filter transfer functions simultaneously. This circuit has the unity gain transfer function for all the five types of filters. The circuit enjoys electronic tunability of angular frequency and bandwidth. The 0.18 μm TSMC technology process parameters have been utilized to test and verify the performance characteristics of the circuit using PSPICE. The sensitivity analysis, transient response and calculations of total harmonic distortion have also been shown.
