Design and Performance of Brushless Doubly-fed Machine Based on Wound Rotor with Star-polygon Structure  [PDF]

Abstract: The star-polygon brushless doubly-fed machine (SPBDFM) is a new type of wound-rotor machine and is attractive for variable-speed constant-frequency shaft generation system. The structure of rotor for the machine may be improving the conductor availability of the rotor windings. The kirchhoff laws is employed to illuminate the principle and some combinations of different slots and poles are presented as the examples. Harmonic analysis is also employed to analyze the magnetic motive force (MMF) waveform of rotor winding with the structure of star- polygon. Finally, the results are used to reveal that the SPBDFM is attractive for shaft generation system.

Use of suppression subtractive hybridization strategy for cloning and identifying specifically expressed genes of renal cell carcinoma

Abstract: Using suppression subtractive hybridization, a renal cell carcinoma (RCC) cDNA subtractive library which only contains differently expressed cDNAs between human RCC and normal kidney has been constructed. 200 clones were picked out randomly to perform enzyme digest analysis, a part of them underwent sequence analysis and Northern blot to identify RCC specially expressed genes. Results showed that 190 clones contain 50–400 bp inserts respectively. Sequence analysis was performed in 10 clones. All the 10 sequences were unknown before and derived from 6 unique novel genes among which the cDNA insert RCC18 has five copies. Northern blot analysis showed that RCC18 cDNA expressed highly in RCC, but there was no signal detected in normal kidney, and the full length of RCC18 was about 2.5 kb. The constructed cDNA subtractive library of human RCC is a highly efficient one and lays the solid foundation for large-scale screening and cloning new and specific oncogenes or tumor suppressor genes of RCC. The novel specially expressed genes provided an important clue for researching the mechanism of the occurrence and development of RCC.

Abstract: Two model reference adaptive system (MRAS) estimators are developed for identifying the parameters of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) based on the Lyapunov stability theorem and the Popov stability criterion, respectively. The proposed estimators only need online measurement of currents, voltages, and rotor speed to effectively estimate stator resistance, inductance, and rotor flux-linkage simultaneously. The performance of the estimators is compared and verified through simulations and experiments, which show that the two estimators are simple, have good robustness against parameter variation, and are accurate in parameter tracking. However, the estimator based on the Popov stability criterion, which can overcome parameter variation in a practical system, is superior in terms of response speed and convergence speed since there are both proportional and integral units in the estimator, in contrast to only one integral unit in the estimator based on the Lyapunov stability theorem. In addition, the estimator based on the Popov stability criterion does not need the expertise that is required in designing a Lyapunov function.

Soft-Defined Heterogeneous Vehicular Network: Architecture and Challenges

Abstract: Heterogeneous Vehicular NETworks (HetVNETs) can meet various quality-of-service (QoS) requirements for intelligent transport system (ITS) services by integrating different access networks coherently. However, the current network architecture for HetVNET cannot efficiently deal with the increasing demands of rapidly changing network landscape. Thanks to the centralization and flexibility of the cloud radio access network (Cloud-RAN), soft-defined networking (SDN) can conveniently be applied to support the dynamic nature of future HetVNET functions and various applications while reducing the operating costs. In this paper, we first propose the multi-layer Cloud RAN architecture for implementing the new network, where the multi-domain resources can be exploited as needed for vehicle users. Then, the high-level design of soft-defined HetVNET is presented in detail. Finally, we briefly discuss key challenges and solutions for this new network, corroborating its feasibility in the emerging fifth-generation (5G) era.
Reliable and Efficient Autonomous Driving: the Need for Heterogeneous Vehicular Networks

Abstract: Autonomous driving technology has been regarded as a promising solution to reduce road accidents and traffic congestion, as well as to optimize the usage of fuel and lane. Reliable and high efficient Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communications are essential to let commercial autonomous driving vehicles be on the road before 2020. The current paper firstly presents the concept of Heterogeneous Vehicular NETworks (HetVNETs) for autonomous driving, in which an improved protocol stack is proposed to satisfy the communication requirements of not only safety but also non-safety services. We then consider and study in detail several typical scenarios for autonomous driving. In order to tackle the potential challenges raised by the autonomous driving vehicles in HetVNETs, new techniques from transmission to networking are proposed as potential solutions.

Abstract: 摘要 本文利用分子动力学模拟探讨了不同外电场下,液态水的分子间作用及分子排布的变化. 在不同外电场下,O…O原子间的径向分布函数差别很小,但是单个水分子的偶极矩的取向变化却很大. 当外电场为0时,单个水分子偶极取向的范围很宽(30-150度). 与此同时,本文给出了局域诱导电场随着位置的变化关系图. 当外加电场增强时,局域的诱导电场强度也随之增加. 由于电场下偶极矩有序性的增加,局域诱导的静电相互作用能显著增加. 计算结果表明,相对介电常数随着电场强度的增加而呈现指数衰减的变化形式. 这一变化趋势可以用来理解不同电化学环境下,静电相互作用和局域诱导电场的变化.
A series of molecular dynamics simulations with or without external electric field have been carried out for a bulk water with periodic boundary condition. The difference in radial distribution function of interatomic O…O distance is subtle, with and without external electric field, except for the orientation of dipole moments of water molecules. Without the applied external electric field, distribution of the orientation angle of dipole moments is rather broad. The induced local electric field is analyzed as a function of altitude in direction of electric field. The variation of the local induced electric field is increased as the increase of the external electric field. The local induced electrostatic energy is mainly originated from the increase in the ordering of dipole orientation under the external electric field. Dielectric constant is evaluated according to the fluctuation of total dipole moment of the whole system. The change of relative dielectric constant under the different external electric fields can be described in an exponential decay equation as the increase of the strength of electric field. This simple rule can be applied to understand the electrostatic interaction and local induced electric field under various electrochemical environments
