New Iterative Approximation Methods for a Countable Family of Nonexpansive Mappings in Banach Spaces

Abstract: We introduce new general iterative approximation methods for finding a common fixed point of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings. Strong convergence theorems are established in the framework of reflexive Banach spaces which admit a weakly continuous duality mapping. Finally, we apply our results to solve the the equilibrium problems and the problem of finding a zero of an accretive operator. The results presented in this paper mainly improve on the corresponding results reported by many others.

Abstract: We introduce hybrid-iterative schemes for solving a system of the zero-finding problems of maximal monotone operators, the equilibrium problem, and the fixed point problem of weak relatively nonexpansive mappings. We then prove, in a uniformly smooth and uniformly convex Banach space, strong convergence theorems by using a shrinking projection method. We finally apply the obtained results to a system of convex minimization problems.

Abstract: We study strong convergence of the sequence generated by implicit and explicit general iterative methods for a one-parameter nonexpansive semigroup in a reflexive Banach space which admits the duality mapping , where is a gauge function on [0,∞). Our results improve and extend those announced by G. Marino and H.-K. Xu (2006) and many authors.

Abstract: We introduce an iterative sequence and prove a weak convergence theorem for finding a solution of a system of mixed equilibrium problems and the set of fixed points of a quasi-nonexpansive mapping in Hilbert spaces. Moreover, we apply our result to obtain a weak convergence theorem for finding a solution of a system of mixed equilibrium problems and the set of fixed points of a nonspreading mapping. The result obtained in this paper improves and extends the recent ones announced by Moudafi (2009), Iemoto and Takahashi (2009), and many others. Using this result, we improve and unify several results in fixed point problems and equilibrium problems.

Abstract: We introduce the system of variational inequality problems for semimonotone operators in reflexive Banach space. Using the Kakutani-Fan-Glicksberg fixed point theorem, we obtain some existence results for system of variational inequality problems for semimonotone with finite-dimensional continuous operators in real reflexive Banach spaces. The results presented in this paper extend and improve the corresponding results for variational inequality problems studied in recent years.
