Abstract: In rather general terms the long term perspective of double beta decay is discussed. All important experimental parameters are investigated as well as the status of nuclear matrix element issues. The link with other neutrino physics results and options to disentangle the underlying physics process are presented.

Abstract: The effect of Majorana neutrinos in the MeV mass range on the double beta decay of various isotopes is studied on pure phenomenological arguments. By using only experimental half life data, limits on the mixing parameter $U_{eh}^2$ of the order 10$^{-7}$ can be derived. Also the possible achievements of upcoming experiments and some consequences are outlined.
New limits on effective Majorana neutrino masses from rare kaon decays

Abstract: The rare kaon decay $K^+ \ra \pi^- \mu^+ \mu^+$ is violating lepton number by two units and is investigated within the context of Majorana neutrino masses. Using a new upper bound for this decay from E865 an upper limit on the effective Majorana mass term $\m_{\mu \mu} < 500$ GeV could be obtained. This is improving existing bounds by about one order of magnitude. Implications on heavy neutrinos are discusse d as well as future possibilities to improve limits on this as well as other elements of the Majorana m ass matrix are investigated.
Spectroscopy of low energy solar neutrinos using CdTe detectors

Abstract: The usage of a large amount of CdTe(CdZnTe) semiconductor detectors for solar neutrino spectroscopy in the low energy region is investigated. Several different coincidence signals can be formed on five different isotopes to measure the Be-7 neutrino line at 862 keV in real-time. The most promising one is the usage of Cd-116 resulting in 89 SNU. The presence of Te-125 permits even the real-time detection of pp-neutrinos. A possible antineutrino flux above 713 keV might be detected by capture on Cd-106 .

Abstract: The final result of the NOMAD searches on \nmu - \ntau oscillations as well as the current status of CHORUS are described. The \nmune analysis of NOMAD excludes the parameter region of LSND in the range \delm $>10 eV^2$ . New results on charm physics from both experiments are presented.

Abstract: Evidences for neutrino oscillations coming from atmospheric and solar observations can be probed by terrestrial long baseline experiments. This requires accelerator beams or nuclear power plants. The current status of these searches as well as future activities are discussed. A precise determination of all matrix elements and searches for a leptonic CP-violation will be possible with high intensity accelerator beams currently discussed in the context of neutrino factories.
Real-time spectroscopy of solar pp neutrinos using Nd-150

Abstract: The potential real-time spectroscopy of solar pp neutrinos using Nd-150 as target is investigated. The threshold of 196 keV would be the lowest of all solar neutrino experiments running so far. Experimental rates and parameters are discussed, about 580 SNU can be expected from pp-neutrinos and another 367 SNU from Be-7. Furthermore, it is investigated whether charged current reactions might cause a new background component for future double beta decay experiments based on a large amount of Nd-150.
