Abstract: W pracy zastosowano metody probabilistyki, jako dzia u matematyki zajmuj cego si badaniem prawid owo ci wyst puj cychw zdarzeniach losowych, do oceny prawdopodobieństwo wyst powania wad metalowych odlewów kompozytowych w poszczególnychkategoriach. Analizie zosta y poddane specyficzne (charakterystyczne tylko dla tych tworzyw) wady metalowych odlewówkompozytowych w kategorii: zbrojenia, osnowy, po czenia zbrojenia i osnowy oraz porowato . Wyst powanie b d nie wyst powaniewad metalowych odlewów kompozytowych rozpatrzono w kontek cie zdarzeń losowych i zastosowano do oceny prawdopodobieństwa ichwyst powania rozk ady: dwumianowy i Poissona. Okre lone zosta y najbardziej prawdopodobne liczby wad w poszczególnychkategoriach. Wykazano, e najcz ciej wyst puj cymi wadami metalowych odlewów kompozytowych s : niejednorodno rozmieszczeniafazy zbroj cej w odlewie oraz niejednorodno kszta tu i wielko ci fazy zbroj cej w odlewie nale cej do kategorii wady zbrojenia, natomiast najrzadziej wyst puj wady: niezespolenie struktury osnowy ze zbrojeniem i rozwarstwienia nale ce do kategorii wad po czenia zbrojenia i osnowy, a tak e wady dotycz ce cia a obcego w strukturze odlewu kompozytowego, nale ce do kategorii wad osnowy.

Abstract: At the medical faculty at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich many E-Learning resources are available to students, but they are rarely implemented in a Blended-Learning scenario. To foster this, a Blended-Learning course following the Inverted Classroom (IC) model as part of the faculty development curriculum has been developed. An initial 10-day E-Learning phase was based on the following six modules: E-Learning and Blended-Learning basics, Learning Management Systems, Virtual Patients, educational videos, the IC model and other E-Learning methods. In the following half-day face-to-face workshop the course participants applied their knowledge to common teaching scenarios. The course was well accepted by the participants and will be further developed and continued as part of the faculty development curriculum.
Application of the analysis of variance for the determination of reinforcement structure homogeneity in MMC

Abstract: These authors propose a new definition of homogeneity verified by variance analysis. The analysis aimed at quantitative variables describing the homogeneity of reinforcement structure, i.e. surface areas, reinforcement phase diameter and percentage of reinforcement area contained in a circle within a given region. The examined composite material consisting of silicon carbide reinforcement particles in AlSi11 alloy matrix was made by mechanical mixing.

Abstract: The relation between different notions measuring proximity to $\ell_1$ and distortability of a Banach space is studied. The main result states that a Banach space, whose all subspaces have Bourgain $\ell_1$ index greater than $\omega^\alpha$, $\alpha<\omega_1$, contains either an arbitrary distortable subspace or an $\ell_1^\alpha$-asymptotic subspace.

Abstract: We present condition on higher order asymptotic behaviour of basic sequences in a Banach space ensuring the existence of bounded non-compact strictly singular operator on a subspace. We apply it in asymptotic $\ell_p$ spaces, $1\leq p<\infty$, in particular in convexified mixed Tsirelson spaces and related asymptotic $\ell_p$ HI spaces.

Abstract: We prove quasiminimality of the regular mixed Tsirelson spaces T[(S_n,\theta_n)_n] with the sequence (\frac{\theta_n}{\theta^n})_n decreasing, where \theta=\lim_n \theta_n^{1/n}, and quasiminimality of all mixed Tsirelson spaces T[(A_n,\theta_n)_n]. We prove that under certain assumptions on the sequence (\theta_n)_n the dual spaces are quasiminimal.
Types of tightness in spaces with unconditional basis

Abstract: We present a reflexive Banach space with an unconditional basis which is quasi-minimal and tight by range, i.e. of type (4) in Ferenczi-Rosendal list within the framework of Gowers' classification program of Banach spaces, but contrary to the recently constructed space of type (4) also tight with constants, thus essentially extending the list of known examples in Gowers classification program. The space is defined on the base on a boundedly modified mixed Tsirelson space with use of a special coding function.
