Dammarane-type saponins from steamed leaves of Panax Notoginseng

Abstract: Four new dammarane-type triterpenoid saponins, namely notoginsenosides SFt1-SFt4 (1–4) were isolated from the steamed leaves of Panax notoginseng (Burk.) F. H. Chen (Araliaceae), together with 17 known saponins. Their structures were established on the basis of detailed spectroscopic analyses and acidic hydrolysis. The known ginsenosides Rk2 and Rh3 were obtained from P. notoginseng for the first time. All of these new saponins showed no in vitro cytotoxicity against five human cancer cell lines (HL-60, SMMC-7712, A-549, MCF-7, and SW480).
Supply Chain Coordination for Strong Retailer with Extended Warranty under Network Externality  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper constructed a retailer-leading supply chain system considering the extended warranty (EW) with single manufacturer and single retailer to study the influence of network externality on retailer-leading supply chain coordination. First of all, we analyzed and compared the retail price, EW price, EW quality, and the total system profit in centralized and decentralized model respectively. Then we analyzed the influence of network externality on decision variables and system profits. We found that the network externality increased the loss of decision efficiency. After that, we considered the coordination of the supply chain system with extended warranty. Finally, some numerical examples were presented for further analysis.
Effects of WO3 Contents on the Thermal and Spectroscopic Properties of Tm3+-doped TeO2-WO3-La2O3Glasses

Abstract: Tungstenlanthanumtellurite (TWL) glasses with the molar composition (90-x)TeO2-xWO3-9La2O3-1Tm2O3(x=10, 20, 30(mol%)) were prepared. Effects of WO3 contents on the thermal stability and spectroscopic properties of Tm3+ doped TWL glasses were studied. It is found that the thermal stability of TWL glasses is improved with the increasing WO3 contents. For the glass with 30mol% WO3, the glass transition temperature(Tg) is 457℃, while onset crystallization temperature(Tx) is not observed in DTA curve, and the thermal expansion coefficient of the glass decreases to 1.224×10-5/℃ (30-300℃). The maximum phonon energy of the glasses shows the dependence on the host composition. The spectroscopic intensity parameters (Ωt t=2,4,6), radiative transition rates, radiative lifetimes, and branching ratios are calculated by Judd-Ofelt theory. The emission crosssection of Tm3+: 3F4→3H6 transition is calculated by McCumber theory. The maximum emission crosssection of Tm3+ in 60TeO2-30WO3-9La2O3-1Tm2O3 glass is 9.6×10-21cm2. Evaluated from the thermal and spectroscopic properties, 60TeO2-30WO3-10La2O3 glass is a promising host material for ~2.0μm laser.
Effects of stress ratio on the temperature-dependent high-cycle fatigue properties of alloy steels

Abstract: This paper addresses the effects of stress ratio on the temperature-dependent high-cycle fatigue (HCF) properties of alloy steels 2CrMo and 9CrCo, which suffer from substantial vibrational loading at small stress amplitude, high stress ratio, and high frequency in the high-temperature environments in which they function as blade and rotor spindle materials in advanced gas or steam turbine engines. Fatigue tests were performed on alloy steels 2CrMo and 9CrCo subjected to constant-amplitude loading at four stress ratios and at four and three temperatures, respectively, to determine their temperature-dependent HCF properties. The interaction mechanisms between high temperature and stress ratio were deduced and compared with each other on the basis of the results of fractographic analysis. A phenomenological model was developed to evaluate the effects of stress ratio on the temperature-dependent HCF properties of alloy steels 2CrMo and 9CrCo. Good correlation was achieved between the predictions and actual experiments, demonstrating the practical and effective use of the proposed method.

Abstract: A method to predict oF2 one hour ahead using neural networks is developed. Based on the time variation characteristics of oF2, six parameters are determined as inputs by time series analysis, which are the present observation of oF2, one-day ahead oF2 at the same time as the predicted one, the seven-day average oF2 before the predicted hour and the current hour, the first difference of oF2 and time of day. The output is the oF2 one hour ahead. During high solar activity period, the average relative error is less than 6 percent and RMS less than 0.6 MHz, while during solar minimum, the average relative error is less than 10 percent and RMS less than 0.5 MHz.

Abstract: The random amplified polymorphic DNA(RAPD)is a technique of DNA molecular marker,which was first established by Williams in 1990.The resolution and repetition is low because of the low annealed tempture and short primers in the RAPD.In this paper we introduce an improved method for increasing the efficiency of the technique of RAPD by prolonging the ramp time from annealing to extension and increasing the resolution and production.
Reversal of MRP7 (ABCC10)-Mediated Multidrug Resistance by Tariquidar

Abstract: Multidrug resistance protein 7 (MRP7, ABCC10) is a recently discovered member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) family which are capable of conferring resistance to a variety of anticancer drugs, including taxanes and nucleoside analogs, in vivo. MRP7 is highly expressed in non-small cell lung cancer cells, and Mrp7-KO mice are highly sensitive to paclitaxel, making MRP7 an attractive chemotherapeutic target of non-small cell lung cancer. However, only a few inhibitors of MRP7 are currently identified, with none of them having progressed to clinical trials. We used MRP7-expressing cells to investigate whether tariquidar, a third generation inhibitor of P-glycoprotein, could inhibit MRP7-mediated multidrug resistance (MDR). We found that tariquidar, at 0.1 and 0.3 μM, significantly potentiated the sensitivity of MRP7-transfected HEK293 cells to MRP7 substrates and increased the intracellular accumulation of paclitaxel. We further demonstrated that tariquidar directly impaired paclitaxel efflux and could downregulate MRP7 protein expression in a concentration- and time-dependent manner after prolonged treatment. Our findings suggest that tariquidar, at pharmacologically achievable concentrations, reverses MRP7-mediated MDR through inhibition of MRP7 protein expression and function, and thus represents a promising therapeutic agent in the clinical treatment of chemoresistant cancer patients.

Abstract: 研究了(90-x)TeO2-xWO3-9La2O3-1Tm2O3(x=10、20、30(mol%))玻璃(以下简称TWL玻璃)的热学性能和光谱性质. 研究发现WO3的增加可以提高TWL玻璃的热稳定性, 降低玻璃的热膨胀系数. WO3含量为30mol%时, 玻璃化转变温度Tg达457℃, DTA曲线上无析晶开始温度Tx, 且热膨胀系数降为1.224×10-5/℃(30~300℃). 玻璃的最大声子能量随WO3的增加而略微增大. 用J-O理论计算了Tm3+离子在TWL玻璃中的光谱参数和部分能级的自发辐射几率、荧光分支比、辐射寿命. 用McCumber理论计算了Tm3+离子3F4→3H6跃迁的受激发射截面, 在60TeO2-30WO3-9La2O3-1Tm2O3玻璃中, Tm3+离子的最大受激发射截面达到9.6×10-21cm2. 研究结果表明, 60TeO2-30WO3-10La2O3玻璃具有优良的热学性能和光谱性质, 是一种实现~2.0μm激光输出的理想玻璃基质材料.

Abstract: 采用随机分叉理论,探讨疲劳损伤系统裂尖粒子运动性质突变.利用一维扩散过程的奇点理 论,并结合能量包络的随机平均法,建立了随机扰动的疲劳损伤同宿分叉系统裂尖粒子运动 模型;通过研究奇异边界的扩散指数、漂移指数以及特征指数特性,考查疲劳损伤裂尖粒子 运动的同宿分叉系统受参激白噪声影响的分叉行为.
