Abstract: In the twenty-first century nursing discipline humanistic trends summons to consolidate the social role of the profession led to gauge the qualitative phenomena, including self-care theory raised by Dorothea Orem (1971) (1) developed a theory care based on systems theory nursing: In this article we present the experience of school care in a male of 11 years and 11 months was admitted because of fatigue and loss of consciousness suddenly. Which the entry in the pediatric emergency ventricular fibrillation is diagnosed is a severely abnormal heart rhythm that causes death unless immediately treated. This condition is responsible for 75 to 85% of sudden deaths in people with heart problems. In any unit, the nurse must identify the precise and rapid changes that could present the child monitored to ensure prompt action, and in many cases prevent or rehabilitate a cardiac arrest.
Uso de la ca?a de azúcar y follaje de Gliricidia sepium en la producción de leche y ganancias diarias de peso en la época seca

Zootecnia Tropical , 2004,
Abstract: in order to evaluate the effect of sugar cane and foliage of gliricidia sepium on milk production (mp) and daily weight gain (dwg) in the dry season, an experiment was carried out in the veroes county, yaracuy state, venezuela. the evaluation was made up in 18 cows double purpose during the half phase of suckling lactation period in 14 female calves. both groups were put under an experimental aleatory design, and in the mp, the gross margin (gm) as a variable for the economic analysis. treatments were as follows: mp t0: grazing (control), t1: 6 kg of clean sugar cane cut into very small pieces + 6 kg of foliage of gliricidia sepium + grazing; t2: 6 kg of clean sugar cane cut into very small pieces + grazing. period of evaluation was 62 days for the mp and 120 days for dwg, both with 10 days of adaptation. the mixture of sugar cane and legume for mp and dwg did not show significant differences (p> 0.05) among treatments with an average of 5.98 kg milk/cow/day and 665 g/animal/day for t1, respectively. the gm showed that concentrated increased the costs of production in 0.21 us $/kg of milk. it is concluded that the mixture contributed with the increment of choices of feeding of double purpose cattle in yaracuy state and a better use of the existing forage trees species.
Natural history of depression

Revista Peruana de Epidemiologia , 2010,
Abstract: Depression is a major public health problem because of its high prevalence and its impact on quality of life, as well as by the disability that cause and the increased use of health services. Furthermore, depression has the distinction of having negative effects on patient health and increases the risk of attempted suicide. This review will describe the epidemiology aspects, age of onset, natural history, prognosis and mortality of this disease.
Efecto de Fusarium Sp. en la germinación, fenología y supervivencia de plántulas de Leucaena leucocephala (lam.) de wit
Borges,Jorge A; Urdaneta,July;
Agronomía Tropical , 2010,
Abstract: seeds of leucaena leucocephala (lam.) of wit is infested by diverse fungi, among which fusarium sp. in this study it was evaluated the effect of this fungus on germination, fenology and seedling survival emerged from seeds of l. leucocephala colonized. the material was collected and taken to the laboratory where proceeded to determine the fungus, proving fusarium sp. seed samples were distributed in two treatments: healthy seeds (t1) and colonized seeds (t2), planted in germination trays under a completely randomized design with fi ve replications. germination was evaluated daily and weekly the number of leaves (nl), number of nodes (nn), primary branches (pr), seedling height (sh) and absolute rate of growth (arg). we also evaluated the survival of seedlings emerged. highly signifi cant differences were observed for germination between treatments, with greater healthy percentage of seeds germinated (80%) in relation to the colonized by the fungus (46.6%). phenology differences were found between t1 and t2 in nn (3.0 and 2.6), rp (2.7 and 2.4) and sh (11.10 and 10.66), respectively. the arg for rp and nn presented a slow growing during the evaluation period. it was also noted seedling mortality in t2 associated with the symptoms of the pathogen. we conclude that fusarium sp. has a negative effect by reducing more than 50% germination of seeds of sl. leucocephala colonized and slow growth seedlings emerged
Peer Interaction: A Social Perspective towards the Development of Foreign Language Learning

Abstract: This pedagogical innovation aims at discovering new ways of interaction that go beyond the unidirectional relationship that is presented in the classrooms most of the times. The innovation considers peers to be active agents in the construction of knowledge and proposes new ways to arrange groups in the classroom so that the arrangement can certainly contribute in the development of students’ language learning process in a context in which English is not a priority. This study, which is being carried out with undergraduate students at a private university in Bogotá, considers the importance of new dynamics of interaction among students that might be the product of a process of meaning negotiation upon the language that is being learned in class, and what the product is of the interactions with other students that are supposed to deal with the same language level.

Jurnal Kemanusiaan , 2008,
Abstract: A country needs stronger incentives to increase exploration investment in high-risk isolated frontier and deepwater areas. Tax consolidation is one of the possible incentives to raise exploration investment level in those frontier areas. Tax consolidation means that expenditures of non-producing contract(s) can be deducted from the income of producing contracts of the same contractor(s) for determination of taxable income. From the government point of view, the application of tax consolidation represents its current investment for future income. In this study, risk analysis of the application of tax consolidation in frontier areas was taken with Monte Carlo simulation to identify its impact on the Government of Indonesia (GOI) income and on the profitability of contractor as well as quantifying the risk involves respectively. The result showed, that from contractor’s financial aspect, tax consolidation was more attractive incentive compared to increase in production sharing split. On the other hand, it was less attractive to the GOI, not only because it reduced GOI’s NPV, but it also posed high risk to the GOI.

PRESSURE AND PRESSURE DERIVATIVE ANALYSIS FOR LONG NATURALLY FRACTURED RESERVOIRS USING THE TDS TECHNIQUE

DYNA , 2010,
Abstract: normally, in a heterogeneous formation, the transition period of flow from fissures to matrix takes place during the radial flow regime. however, depending upon the value of the interporosity flow parameter, this transition period can show up before or after the radial flow regime. an accurate understanding of how the reservoir produces and the magnitude of producible reserves can lead to competent decisions and adequate reservoir management. so far, no methodology for interpretation of pressure tests under the above mentioned conditions has been presented. currently, an interpretation study can only be achieved by non-linear regression analysis (simulation) which is obviously related to nonunique solutions. therefore, in this paper, a detailed analysis of pressure and pressure derivative behavior for a vertical well in an elongated closed heterogeneous formation is presented. we studied independently each flow regime, especially the dual-linear flow regime since it is the most characteristic "fingerprint" of these systems; new equations to characterize such reservoirs is introduced and were successfully verified by interpreting both field and synthetic pressure tests for oil reservoirs.
Equinocandinas

Revista chilena de infectología , 2011, DOI: 10.4067/S0716-10182011000700004
Abstract: the echinocandins, caspofugin, micafungin, and anidulafungin, are lipopeptides that inhibit fungal growth by binding to β - (1.3) d glucan synthase. this enzyme is responsible for the formation of the peptidoglycan cell wall, and it is essential in fungi such as candida spp, but less important in the case of aspergillus and fusarium species. we review the history, pharmacology and clinical trials that have showed clinical efficacy similar to amphotericin b for the management of fungal infections such as candidemia, invasive candidiasis and aspergillosis, even in cases refractory to initial treatment. these drugs have less toxicity and discontinuation is uncommonly required. despite similar spectrum and tolerability, there are several pharmacological differences. only a few clinical trials compare the clinical efficacy between them and their clinical application cannot be generalized. however, the echinocandins have demonstrated clinical efficacy in patients with invasive candidiasis and in others forms of systemic mycoses.
