Abstract: This study aimed to evaluate centesimal and microbiological parameters of mandi-pintado nuggets. With the results from the biometry of the fish, it was possible to observe that the species shows high main trunk yield and low content of visceral fat. After the utilization of the body proportions, the steaks were grounded and breaded, and the samples (in natura and nuggets) were separated to carry out centesimal and microbiological composition. The patties show 14,67% protein, 10,12% lipids, 16,43% carbohydrates, 2,70% mineral matter and 56,08% humidity, therefore fitting the patterns required by the Brazilian legislation. The microbiological results indicated that both the prime matter and the nuggets developed were ready for the processing and for the consumption. Therefore, mandi-pintado shows a high yeald of main trunk and a low content of visceral fat, besides from being an ideal raw for the development of nuggets that not only are a highly nutritious kind of food, but can also be easily prepared and have a high aggregated value.

Abstract: this qualitative research aims to analyze the scientific production about "humane health care/nursing", understanding what views on humanization have been developing. a bibliographic survey was carried out, covering the period from the end of the 1950's until today, in the periodicals revista brasileira de enfermagem, revista paulista de hospitais and texto e contexto, examining 42 articles, which were then subject to analysis and integrative synthesis. the issue has been developing from a charitable perspective to the current preoccupation with the valuation of health as a civil right, inserted in a political health project. articles from all decades reveal the need to invest in workers, valuing the subjective dimension. nevertheless, humanization receives little attention in education. care humanization supposes the meeting of subjects who share knowledge, power and experiences, implying political, administrative and subjective transformations.

Ciência & Saúde Coletiva , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-81232010000200010
Abstract: this article discusses the insufficiency of family participation in a program of universal newborn hearing screening. as it is a premature detection of hearing alterations, with the possibility of reduction of damages caused by these, it becomes essential the family participation during all the diagnosis process. the aim of the text is to understand the absence of the mothers of infants born between may 2002 and june 2004 at center of integral attention to the health of the woman (unicamp) when returning to a second hearing evaluation. through the characterization of social-demographic profiles of the mothers, some aspects were related to the non-returning at the screener service and three mothers were selected to interview. it was concluded that three traces from the mother's profiles are detached among mothers who returned less times: to have more than one child; to have frequency of only one to three prenatal consultations; and not having a partner. the basic allegation for the nonreturning was that the loss of hearing could be identified through observation at home. besides being constituted by social factors, the absences of the mothers reflect cultural practices. it was considered necessary the creation of a net of health services that guide the mothers of infants about alterations in the infantile development.

Abstract: this literature review was performed for the purpose of surveying and analyzing the scientific production in health in brazilian journals regarding the teaching of health care humanization in undergraduate programs. the bibliographic survey was performed on the lilacs database using the term humanization, including texts published between 2000 and 2010 and examining 42 articles. the analysis of these articles revealed the following central themes: humanization: some thoughts on its concepts; university and the national curriculum guidelines for undergraduate programs in healthcare: relations with the teaching of humanization; curricular changes, contents and teaching-learning strategies regarding humanized care; and subjects of the teaching-learning process: students and faculty learning the humanization of care. some theoretical and practical elements have been created about the teaching of humanization in the context of health; however, it is essential to make greater investments to effectively develop new ways of providing care.

Revista da Escola de Enfermagem da USP , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0080-62342006000300002
Abstract: this qualitative study aims at understanding undergraduate nursing students' experiences in daily hospital training situations, reflecting on the formation process and highlighting the human dimension. understanding this may give subsidies for a reflection on the humanization of health/nursing practice. thirteen students who were finishing the 6th and beginning the 7th semester in november/december 2003 and february/march 2004 were interviewed individually. the analysis of these interviews revealed the following important themes: being faced with other peoples' suffering is a "humanizing" experience; dichotomy technical knowledge/human knowledge; value of the human dimension: theoretical learning; the health team as a model of (un) learning; training experiences arouse feelings in the students; student-teacher relation: limits and facilities. there is a need to rethink the formation process, investing in coordinated actions that favor transformations in service and in schools involving teachers, students and workers.

Signótica , 2009, DOI: 10.5216/sig.v21i1.8614
Abstract: This article promotes a compared analysis between “O caso da vara” e Quincas Borba, by Machado de Assis, observing the way by wich satire and humor are inserted in the aesthetic project of the author, especially in the configuration of a “realism of evaluation”. Narrator and focalization construct a critical dimension by the mean of the comical forms mentioned, visualizing the “minor social interval” that, in according to Alfredo Bosi, characterizes Brazilian Realism under Machado de Assis.

Constitutionalizing secularism, alternative secularisms or liberal-democratic constitutionalism? A critical reading of some Turkish, ECtHR and Indian Supreme Court cases on ‘secularism’
Veit Bader
Utrecht Law Review , 2010,
Abstract: In recent debates on the constitutional status of 'secularism' we can discern three positions. The first tries to overcome the absence of 'secularism' in most liberal-democratic constitutions by developing a more robust theory of constitutional secularism. The second develops theories of 'alternative secularisms'. The third, defended in this article, argues that we should drop secularism as a 'cacophonous' concept from our constitutional and legal language and replace it by liberal-democratic constitutionalism. I develop an analytical taxonomy of twelve different meanings of 'secularism' based on a comparative study of Turkish and Indian Supreme Court cases on secularism, and demonstrate that they are incompatible with each other and with the hard core of liberal-democratic constitutions. Next, I criticize the respective rulings in the Turkish and Indian context. Particularly in 'militant democracies', the appeal to a principle of 'secularism' turns out to be inimical to the liberal and to the democratic 'constitutional essentials'. I end with some normative recommendations on the role of constitutional review and judicial activism.
