A Note on Price Asymmetry Using a Monetary Model  [PDF]
Pablo L. Schiaffino, Juan Pablo Pinasco
Theoretical Economics Letters (TEL) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/tel.2014.48088
Abstract: In this paper we present a macroeconomic foundation of downward money price inflexibility based on classical Monetary Economics. We show that under the principle of risk aversion and the neutral money axiom, our model derives an endogenous asymmetric price response as prices adjust more rapidly when they go upward than downward. This asymmetry does not disappear; on the contrary, it is increasing in time.

Calidad en la Educación , 2010,
Abstract: For fist time in Chile, the creation of a national innovation strategy for competitiveness lays the foundations for the development path our country should follow in the coming years. For its implementation, however, it is necessary to address some gaps previously identified. In terms of human capital, this article reviews the supply and demand for technical higher education and discusses its relevance in relation to productive development clusters noting the lack of coordination between both sectors and identifying some challenges.
Lower bounds for eigenvalues of the one-dimensional -Laplacian
Juan Pablo Pinasco
Abstract and Applied Analysis , 2004, DOI: 10.1155/s108533750431002x
Abstract: We present sharp lower bounds for eigenvalues of the one-dimensional p-Laplace operator. The method of proof is rather elementary, based on a suitable generalization of the Lyapunov inequality.
The distribution of nonprincipal eigenvalues of singular second-order linear ordinary differential equations
Juan Pablo Pinasco
International Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences , 2006, DOI: 10.1155/ijmms/2006/29895
Abstract: We obtain the asymptotic distribution of the nonprincipal eigenvalues associated with the singular problem x″
Motivos porque y para" en la tecnología lítica de un sitio formativo en el valle de Yocavil, provincia de Catamarca
Carbonelli,Juan Pablo;
Intersecciones en antropolog?-a , 2011,
Abstract: in this paper a phenomenological approach to the lithic technology of a formative site, soria 2, banda andalhuala, yocavil valley, catamarca province, is presented. the objective is to establish the interrelationship between social subjects and raw materials in a site with domestic characteristics. as such, the production sequence of the most relevant raw materials are reconstructed and the amount of labor invested in the tools and the contexts in which they participated are noted. from the results it was observed that there was a differential exploitation of raw materials. each was categorized differently according to the motivations that were put into play at the moment of their transformation into instruments. the data obtained is important because of the lack of information on the lithic technology of the valley’ s formative societies.

El acceso del hombre a Dios en Zubiri: la vía de la religación
Nieva Moreno,Juan Pablo;
Enfoques , 2011,
Abstract: spanish philosopher xavier zubiri focused his research around three basic topics: reality, intelligence and god. the zubirian key to approach the problem of god is found in the relegation of man to the power of the real. for this reason, the present article aims at briefly showing the evolution of the important concept of relegation had in zubiri’s thought. this leads us to state that regarding the problem of god, from the point of view of relegation, zubiri assumes practically all the elements of his own philosophy.
"La nada del yo que soy": Desestabilizacionesde la autobiografía en la teoría literaria hacia fines de los '70
Luppi,Juan Pablo;
Enfoques , 2010,
Abstract: this paper proposes a reading of some passages from barthes' autobiographical scheme in roland barthes by roland barthes (1975), according to notions present in paul de man's essay "autobiography as defacement" (1979). by relying on the figures of rhetoric, one of them; and by reformulating lacan's categories, the other; both reflections constitute theories of reading, which discuss at least two variables often present in the interventions of the theoretical field: the category of genre and the notion of subject.
LA CAZA DEL FILóSOFO: Comentarios al Sofista de Platón
Pino Posada,Juan Pablo;
Estudios de Filosofía , 2006,
Abstract: the following pasaje illustrates the theme of this paper: "or, perhaps, have we fallen inadvertently, by zeus, in the science of free men, and, searching for the sophist, run the risk of having found the philosopher first? (253c5-10). the fact that the stranger from elea surprisingly finds himself with the philosopher in a conversation that pretends to offer a definition of the sophist, makes one think how little unheeded the closeness between the "free man" and his imitador was for plato. in the sophist, the platonic interest is centered in evincing this closeness and, at the same time, in defining the boundaries among them, making the first a hunter of the second. the present paper explores the sense of the hunt attending the following singularities1) the formal procedure that it follows, 2) the question that guides it; 3) the quality of spirit that asks; 4) the words with which the interlocutors name it; y 5) the "noble" game he finds at last.
"Pero, ¿qué es la vida real?" Sobre la existencia estética en "De sobremesa" de José Asunción Silva
Pino Posada,Juan Pablo;
Estudios de Filosofía , 2009,
Abstract: abstract: this piece proposes a thesis according to which the novel de sobremesa by josé asunción silva accounts for the novelatory influx of art such as it is incarnated in an aesthethic existence which is brought inside the philosophical context of "the death of god", that is, of the creative becoming of the world. therefore, there is a follow up of how the novel problematizes the relationship between the life of the artist and the work of art, and this further enables one to adventure an intepretation of silva`s suicide in terms of a tragic resolution of that artistic metamorphosis of reality. four instances of analysis are gone through in the said follow-up. 1) the space of the novel as an alternative to the autobiographical pact and space, 2) the marginality of art in burgoise society as a socio-historic manifestation of the novelatory influx, 3) the formal structure of the novel as the redoubling of the aesthethic tendence of existence, 4) the metaphysical absolute as the artistic nothingness with cosmic potentialities.
