Abstract: This paper proposes a technological innovation methodology denominated "Mechatronic development of new products oriented to the available technological capacity". It is shown as a study case of the development of hydromotors with radial pistons. Este trabajo propone una metodología de innovación tecnológica denominada "Desarrollo mecatrónico de nuevos productos orientado a la capacidad tecnológica disponible". Se muestra como caso de estudio el desarrollo de un hidromotor de pistones radiales.

Abstract: in this paper an algorithm to simulate the process of continuous casting based on a physical -mathematical model using finite element methods was presented. the most outstanding characteristic of the model was the inclusion of complex processes of heat interchange, metal phase changes, distribution of temperatures in the mould, chemical composition of the metal, flow of water in the primary and secondary cooling system and the casting speed. moreover, the algorithm permitted to predict the behaviour of the process variables in the continuous casting of steel according to its profile and type.

Abstract: En este trabajo presenta la modelación matemática y el procedimiento de optimización de las dimensiones de la zona de carga de un remolque ca ero como parte componente de su dise o. Como criterio de optimización se selecciona la masa de los conjuntos que conforman dicha zona. El modelo matemático del área desarrollada de los conjuntos que conforman la zona de carga, se supone que la masa de los conjuntos es proporcional a su área. Como restricciones del modelo se establecen: el ancho máximo de la zona de carga, la altura máxima de la misma y el ancho del bastidor.In the present work the mathematical model and the optimization procedure of the task of determination of the dimensions of the load area of CANE TROILER as component part of it design are shown. As optimization criteria the mass of the sets that conform this area is selected. In the mathematical model it is supposed that the mass of the sets it is proportional to its area. As restrictions of the model the maximum width and the maximum height of the load area and the width of the wing are settled down

Abstract: El presente trabajo constituye una segunda etapa de investigación relacionada con la producción de acero en hornos de arco eléctrico con revestimiento básico en condiciones de utilización de mineral de manganeso como sustituto del ferro-manganeso. En la investigación se caracteriza el acero producido utilizando el mineral de manganeso en dos variantes tecnológicas diferentes y se determinan parámetros importantes, tales como la estructura del acero obtenido, la influencia de la composición química y la temperatura en la reducción del Mn. Adicionalmente, se determina la composición química de la escoria, su basicidad e influencia en el aprovechamiento del Mn del mineral, así como, lo que significa la sustitución del FeMn en la problemática medioambiental. This present work constitutes the second stage of investigation in relation with the steel production by means of electric arc furnaces in the condition of use of manganese ores as a substitute of the ferromanganese. In the investigation, the steel manufactured is analyzed the manganese ore in two different technological variants and some important parameters are determined such as: the chemical composition's structure of the steel, the influence of temperature in the reduction of Mn. Moreover, an analysis of the chemical composition of the slag and the influence in the environmental is realized.

Abstract: Las redes hidráulicas se encuentran muy difundidas en las ingenierías cuyas soluciones de dise o requieren ser realizadas sobre la base de la elevada integración de la información durante el proceso de análisis y estudio de la tarea, de la aplicación de los métodos modernos de preparación y toma decisiones, así como la organización racional de los procedimientos de cálculo. El proceso de dise o debe responder a dos de los problemas más acuciantes del mundo de hoy: el de la energía y el del costo. En la literatura universal no aparecen soluciones metodológicas que permitan enfrentar la determinación de soluciones suficientemente racionales al problema del dise o de redes hidráulicas al nivel de considerar el conjunto de criterios generalmente aceptado como importantes para decidir sobre el dise o de la red incluyendo la racionalidad del trazado y aspectos de tipo subjetivo. El presente trabajo es fruto de la colaboración del Centro de Estudios de Dise o y Fabricación Asistido por Computadora (CAD/CAM) de la Universidad de Holguín “Oscar Lucero Moya”, el Centro de Estudios de Tecnología Energética Renovable (CETER) de la Instituto Superior Politécnico “José Antonio Echeverría” y el Grupo Empresarial de Investigación, Proyecto e Ingeniería (GEIPI) del Instituto de Recursos Hidráulicos.Hydraulic networks are very common in engineering. The devising of designing solutions for these networks must be accomplished on the basis of high integration of information, the application of modern methods of preparation and decision taking, as well as the rational organization of the engineering calculation procedures involved. The designing process must take into account two of the most important problems of the world: energy and cost. Universal literature does not provide with methodological solutions to determine sufficiently rational solutions to the problem of designing closed hydraulic networks, at least at the level of considering the generally accepted criteria as important to decide on the network's design, including the determination of the most rational trajectory of the network and the subjective aspects. The present work is the result of the collaboration among the Studies Center of Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) of the University of Holguín “Oscar Lucero Moya”, the Studies Center of Renewable Energy Technology (CETER) of the Higher Polytechnical Institute “José Antonio Echeverría” and the Enterprise Group of Investigation, Project and Engineering (GEIPI) of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resource.
Optimización de la distribución de piezas irregulares en chapas

Abstract: in this article, we study various solution schemes reported in the literature, which deal with the problem of irregular parts distribution on flat surfaces with two-dimensional nesting. different solution schemes were analyzed, which they consider to be the real geometry of the part, during the evaluation and positioning them on the surface to be cut, ensuring the best use of the material. the proposed scheme is characterized by a graphic treatment of the pieces that can accelerate the process of recognition and evaluation of options coupling between them, as well as the creation of cluster populations growing to its final location on the surface to be cut. in the generation of populations of possible solutions, using an algorithm based on the method of integration variables, in addition is made comparing the results obtained by the proposed method with other results generated by procedures developed by different authors, achieving improved use of material values and reducing the generation time for solutions.

Abstract: En el presente trabajo se exponen los resultados obtenidos hasta el momento en el proceso de Análisis y Síntesis de un sistema automatizado para la dosificación de hornadas de acero al carbono en hornos de arco eléctrico. El proceso de Análisis Interno realizado incluye la experimentación en condiciones fabriles y la elaboración del modelo matemático de la cinética del proceso de asimilación del manganeso por el metal. Aunque hasta el momento el sistema desarrollado no incluye la optimización del proceso, del análisis realizado no resulta difícil elaborar el procedimiento de optimización requerido.In this work the results obtained until the moment in the process of the Analysis and Synthesis of an automated system for the dosage of carbon steel heats in electric arc furnaces exposed. The Internal Analysis process carried out includes the experimentation in industrial conditions and the elaboration of the mathematical model of the kinetics of manganese assimilation by the metal. Although until the moment the developed system doesn't include the optimization algorithm, from the analysis carried out it is not difficult to elaborate the required procedure.
Generación automática de variantes de trayectorias aplicada al dise o óptimo bajo criterios múltiples de redes hidráulicas de abasto.

Abstract: La determinación de las trayectorias más eficientes que deben tener las redes, instalaciones o vías de transporte es un problema que motiva a muchos investigadores de diversas ingenierías: informática, civil, mecánica, hidráulica, etc., cuyas soluciones requieren ser realizadas sobre la base de la elevada integración de la información durante el proceso de análisis y estudio de la tarea, de la aplicación de los métodos modernos de preparación y toma de decisiones, así como la organización racional de los procedimientos de cálculo de ingeniería. Para definir el trazado de trayectorias en los proyectos de ingeniería se tienen en cuenta determinadas condiciones propias del entorno. Estas trayectorias, pese a su diferente designación, pueden coincidir en determinadas zonas y compartir espacios limitados. Por esta razón, un sistema para la generación automática de variantes de trayectorias deberá considerar las limitaciones del espacio disponible al establecer el tipo y dimensiones límites. En el artículo se presenta un procedimiento que apoyado en un sistema informático permite obtener de manera automática variantes de trayectorias cerradas las cuales dependiendo de su destino de servicio serán optimizadas bajo criterios de eficiencias.Determining the most efficient trajectories of networks, installations or transportation roads is a problem to a lot of investigators of different fields: Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulics, etc. Solutions should be carried out taking into account a high integration of information in the analysis and study process of the task, the application of the modern methods of preparation and decision making, as well as the rational organization of the procedures of engineering calculation. Several conditions regarding the surroundings are taken into account in engineering projects while defining the layout of trajectories. These trajectories, in spite of their different designations, can coincide at certain parts and share limited spaces. For this reason, any system for the automatic generation of possible trajectories should consider space limitations when establishing the type and dimensions. This paper shows a procedure that, aided by a computer system, allows to immediately getting closed trajectory possibilities which, depending on the network's application, will be optimized under efficiency criteria.

Abstract:

The sludge paper of the industry treated with probiotics in solid state fermentation (SSF) could be used as ingredient in rations for animal feeding. This study assessed the effect of four probiotic (Prozoot15?) levels (PT) on chemical and fermentative characteristics in SSF of the paper sludge (PS) at controlled temperature (30°C) in laboratory scale. The tested treatments (T) were: T1 (0% PS), T2 (50 g/kg PS), T3 (100 g/kg PS) and T4 (150 g/kg PS), which were fermented at 0, 24, 48 and 72 h, according to a completely randomized design, in a 4 × 4 factorial arrangement with six repetitions per sampling. All treatments included (g/kg DM) 300 molasses, 15 urea, 20 ammonium sulfate, 9 calcium carbonate and 5 of vitamin and mineral premix, plus the PS which was substituted by the PT at 0, 50, 100 and 150 g/kg DM. The results showed a decrease in pH in all treatments at 24 h; however the lowest pH was at 72 h of fermentation. At 72 h of fermentation, the PT addition in T4 increased crude protein, true protein and yeast counts (P < 0.05), and decreased pH (P < 0.05). In all fermentation time, the PT addition increased ether extract, lactic acid and ammonia nitrogen (P < 0.05) and decreased dry matter, ash, NDF and ADF (P < 0.05). It was concluded that the addition of 150 g/kg of PT in SSF of paper sludge improves crude and true protein, ether extract, lactic acid, and ammonia. This treatment may have potential use in animal feeding.

?Como medir la innovación en el sector servicios?: Evidencia empírica en el sector financiero, Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela

Abstract: evaluating the results of innovation management in enterprises represents a fundamental tool to measure their growth and competitive trend. in the services sector, research oriented to measure the innovation process is very scarce. the aim of the present work is to validate a methodology to measure the innovating activity in the services sector, mis?7 (methodology of innovation in services), applying it to the finance sector in ciudad guayana, venezuela. this method consists in measuring seven dimensions in the management of a services enterprise: leadership, planning, strategy, competence of human resources, processes, organization, customers satisfaction and social liability. the sector was divided into national entities and regional entities; a questionnaire was applied to gather information, the samples were over 30 people in every bank under evaluation, chosen from different levels of organization. results indicate that national banks which were evaluated have a consent of 83%, being the dimensions: customers satisfaction, organization, processes and social liability, the most outstanding aspects of services enterprises. the regional banks which were studied had a level of consent of 62.7% within the criteria of mis?7. the dimensions with best performance in this case were customers satisfaction, social liability and leadership. as a conclusion, the study showed that customers satisfaction is the dimension with the highest degree of development and interest for enterprises of the finance sector that underwent evaluation.
