Quantum computation and real multiplication
Matilde Marcolli,John Napp
Computer Science , 2013,
Abstract: We propose a construction of anyon systems associated to quantum tori with real multiplication and the embedding of quantum tori in AF algebras. These systems generalize the Fibonacci anyons, with weaker categorical properties, and are obtained from the basic modules and the real multiplication structure.

Napp, Dilma Solange;

Abstract: new species of aglaoschema napp, 1994 (coleoptera, cerambycidae). new species described from south america: aglaoschema rondoniense sp. nov. and a. mimos from brazil (rond?nia), a. acauna from brazil (pará), and a. potiguassu from argentina (chaco).a key to species, partially modified from napp (2007) to include the new species, is added.
Unxiini, uma nova tribo de Cerambycinae (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae)
Napp, Dilma Solange;
Revista Brasileira de Entomologia , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S0085-56262007000300010
Abstract: unxiini trib. nov. is proposed to include the following genera up to now in compsocerini thomson, 1864: chariergus white, 1855, chenoderus fairmaire & germain, 1859, unxia thomson, 1860, ethemon thomson, 1864, paromoeocerus gounelle, 1910, rierguscha viana, 1970, parunxia napp, 1977 and allopeba napp & reynaud, 1999, whose females present a brush on the seventh abdominal tergite used as oviposition strategy. in cerambycidae, this kind of brush is exclusive to unxiini. keys to genera and species are provided and all the species are illustrated.
Revis?o do gênero Aglaoschema Napp (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae)
Napp, Dilma Solange;
Revista Brasileira de Zoologia , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-81752007000300031
Abstract: aglaoschema napp, 1994 and 17 species are redescribed. aglaoschema viridipenne (thomson, 1860) is revalidated and three new synonyms are proposed: aglaoschema prasinipenne (lucas, 1857) = a. nigricorne (bates, 1870) syn. nov. = a. tibiale (aurivillius, 1920) syn. nov., and aglaoschema rufiventre (germar, 1824) = a. erythrogaster (white, 1853) syn. nov. new species described: a. inca sp. nov. (peru and colombia), and a. apixara sp. nov. (brazil). all the species are illustrated and a key is provided.
Revis?o das espécies sul-americanas de Rhopalophora (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae)
Napp, Dilma Solange;
Zoologia (Curitiba) , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S1984-46702009000200019
Abstract: rhopalophora audinet-serville, 1834 is currently composed of 25 species with a distribution ranging from north to south america. only nine of them were described from south america and have been recorded exclusively from this continent. the north and central american species were revised by giesbert & chemsak (1993); the south american species, on the other hand, still remain with their descriptions fragmented in different publications that date from 1824 to 1989.the purposes of this work are to redescribe the genus, to gather information on the south american species, to provide updated and standardized descriptions, illustrations, and an identification key, in order to complement that of giesbert & chemsak (1993). the following species are treated: r. collaris (germar, 1824) (type species), r. pulverulenta guérin-méneville, 1844, r. venezuelensis chevrolat, 1859, r. occipitalis chevrolat, 1859, r. neivai mendes, 1940, r. prolixa monné, 1989, r. dyseidia martins & napp, 1989, r. casignata martins & napp, 1989, and r. paraensis martins & napp, 1989.
Erasure codes with simplex locality
Margreta Kuijper,Diego Napp
Mathematics , 2014,
Abstract: We focus on erasure codes for distributed storage. The distributed storage setting imposes locality requirements because of easy repair demands on the decoder. We first establish the characterization of various locality properties in terms of the generator matrix of the code. These lead to bounds on locality and notions of optimality. We then examine the locality properties of a family of non-binary codes with simplex structure. We investigate their optimality and design several easy repair decoding methods. In particular, we show that any correctable erasure pattern can be solved by easy repair.
Novo gênero e nota sinonímica em Callichromatini (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae)
Martins, Ubirajara R.;Napp, Dilma Solange;
Iheringia. Série Zoologia , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S0073-47212005000100003
Abstract: cotychroma gen. nov., is described with its type-species, c. acaguassu sp. nov., from brazil (espírito santo). plinthocoelium sapphirum (bates, 1879) is considered a new synonym of callichroma chilensis blanchard, 1851.
Revis?o do gênero Eriphosoma (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae)
Napp, Dilma Solange;Monné, Miguel A.;
Iheringia. Série Zoologia , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0073-47212006000200014
Abstract: eriphosoma melzer, 1922 is redefined including five species: e. bipartitum (buquet, 1844) (type species), e. barbiellinii melzer, 1922, e. jacobi fuchs, 1961, and two new species described from brazil: e. marcela sp. nov., from espírito santo, and e. mermudes sp. nov., from bahia and minas gerais. new combination proposed: erythrochiton sellatum (buquet, 1844). a key to the species of eriphosoma is provided.
Notas sobre os gêneros Deltosoma e Thelgetra (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae, Pteroplatini)
Martins, Ubirajara R.;Napp, Dilma Solange;
Iheringia. Série Zoologia , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0073-47212006000300011
Abstract: the four species of deltosoma are commented and illustrated. deltosoma hovorella di iorio, 2003 is considered a synonym of d. xerophila di iorio, 1995. a key to the species of deltosoma is given. pteroplatus adustus burmeister, 1865 is transferred to the genus thelgetra thomson, 1864, and pteroplatus radiatus haase, 1893 is synonymized with thelgetra latipennis thomson, 1864.
