DON QUIJOTE COMO NOVELA MODERNA Y LA CONJUNCIóN DE GéNEROS ALTOS Y BAJOS
Jofré,Manuel;
Alpha (Osorno) , 2006, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-22012006000100003
Abstract: within the context of the cervantine criticism, new reasons are discussed in this article to consider don quixote as the first modern novel, from the point of view of mijail bakhtin writings. cervantes's great work would not only overcome the monologic line, but more precisely it would constitute an intersection between the monologic and dialogic lines of the universal literature. this would be evident in the mixture of higher and lower literary genre and in the opposition between don quixote′s sublime and knight-like speeches and sancho′s folk and popular speeches. this truly dialogic relationship would be based upon the intertextuality of cervantes’s work with the socratic dialog and the mineppean satire of antiquity.
EL PRIMER TEXTO DE NEFTALí REYES Y EL úLTIMO POEMA DE PABLO NERUDA
Jofré,Manuel;
Revista chilena de literatura , 2004, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-22952004000200004
Abstract: one of the least studied aspects of the nerudian canon is the earliest production of the young poet then named neftalí reyes. the early writing of the poet is decisive for the formation of the idea of the american self and for the constitution of a system of mythical references as well as for the process of the nomination of the stepmother as the mother and the self as poetic subjects. in the course of his life, neruda published more than six thousand pages of prose and verse. the earliest known text by the young neftalí reyes is in marked contrast to the poet's last poem, written with certainty after sept. 11.1973, "hastaciel" is a unique poem, for the complexity of its imagecy, its hermetic language, and its dark vision. it is well acknowledged that the poet's last work has not been given much study. in this case, rather than making a comparative analysis of both texts, it would be of greater interest to examine the beginning and the end of a writing style, that is, the opening and the closure of the poetic word, without ignoring the immense lyrical output accumulated between both extremes

Jofré,Manuel;

Abstract: this article begins with a parallel between mijail bajtin and pablo neruda's lives and proceeds with a discussion of bajtinian categories of monologism and dialogism, which are viewed as forces that tension neruda's poetry. finally, bajtin?s four categories of the history of the novel are applied to the complex succession of the poet's writing.

Some of Mijail Bachtin’s theses are discussed here. First the opposition between the dialogic novel and the polyphonic; in the second place, the pertinence of Socratic dialogue and the Menippean satire in the fictional structure itself; thirdly, the pertinence of monologism in the approach to a historical poetic; and lastly, some of the aspects of carnavalization in the novel
The early writing of the poet is decisive for the formation of the idea of the American self and for the constitution of a system of mythical references as well as for the process of the nomination of the stepmother as the mother and the self as poetic subjects.
This article begins with a parallel between Mijail Bajtin and Pablo Neruda's lives and proceeds with a discussion of bajtinian categories of monologism and dialogism, which are viewed as forces that tension Neruda's poetry. Finally, Bajtin s four categories of the history of the novel are applied to the complex succession of the poet's writing.
