Abstract: Histiocytic sarcoma is an extremely rare and very aggressive malignancy, with poor prognosis. The cases described in the literature are few and the treatment is not currently considered consensual. The clinical presentation is very variable. Its characterization is made based primarily on the histology. The authors present a case of an 82-year-old woman, with multiple adenopatic retroperitoneal and left iliac conglomerates, with left leg associated edema (extrinsic compression by conglomerates). After intensive study and approach ganglion biopsy, the histologic diagnosis revealed a histiocytic sarcoma.

Revista Mal-estar e Subjetividade , 2008,
Abstract: The body awareness became a fashion, an academic theme, as well as a major source of anxiety for women. In a society, where in addition of being seen as merchandise, the body is more than ever, the privileged locus of identitary construction. Facing such unattainable goals and such impossible ideals, women are due to have a very anxious and persecutory relationship with their own bodies. The body culture, took care of the contemporary society, producing and negotiating subjectivities. Different corporal practices, more and more radicals, are being used to escape the great villain called fat . Associated to ugliness, negligence and character weakness, different women bear testimonies along this work speaking of the social exclusion and discrimination experienced. In this article we aimed to understand the morbid obesity from a psychoanalytic view, presupposing a subject of language as much as a subject of joy. Obesity is viewed as a symptom, since symptom is a phenomenon structured as a language, but also as joy with which one did not know well what to make. Symptom is a condensed point of joy that captures the subject, leaving him in suspension. We intend to view obesity in this article, stressing the medical speech , a pathology that demands correction, the bariatric surgery or surgery of the obesity . Taking obesity or mere fatness as the paradigm of ugliness, the authors points out how intolerant society became of those who deviate from what the body culture has established as normal. It is from these points of view that we can stress the role of the culture in the growing medicalization of the body and understand the phenomenon of the obesity/surgery as anchored in a culture that is increasing its controls and regulations of the human body

Open Journal of Preventive Medicine (OJPM) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ojpm.2013.39073

Welding apprentices invest in their professional and technological education. The welding work, and before that, the welding apprenticeship, exposes the apprentices to several risk factors, such as a physical, chemical and physiological. Exposure to these factors can trigger various health disorders and accidents. Among some of the health disorders that may be triggered by welding activity are skin, lung and stomach cancer, coronary heart disease, noise-induced hearing loss and work-related musculoskeletal disorders. This paper is an integrative review of how studies are developing with welding apprentices. Of 638 articles, ten met the search criteria. The publications cover genetic, respiratory and neuropsychological health disorders and improved welding techniques. It is considered that the identification of a low number of publications on welding apprentices constitutes a need for knowledge construction in the areas of occupational and public health.

Rocha, Jo?o Cezar de Castro;
Alea : Estudos Neolatinos , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S1517-106X2005000200006
Abstract: "perte d'auréole", one of baudelaire's "petits poèmes en prose", touches the heart of the problem faced by walter benjamin in his always quoted essay on the "work of art." if we read the vicissitude of baudelaire's poet as representing the metamorphosis of a classical concept of art, we should keep in mind that few artists accepted such morphing with the witty ease that characterizes the modernity of baudelaire's insight. in this essay, it is attempted a comparative reading of both authors.
