The Spatial Distribution Pattern Analysis of City Infrastructure Cases of Urban Management  [PDF]

Abstract: The effective disposal of daily city infrastructure cases is an important issue for urban management. To more effectively utilize a large amount of historical cases data collected and accumulated in the urban grid management system, and to analyze their spatial distribution pattern information for city managers, this study used the comparative kernel density analysis method in two types of cases (i.e. power facilities and traffic guardrail) in Xicheng District, Beijing for the year 2016 and 2017. This research analyzes them at different scales (300 m, 600 m, 1,200 m), and the experiment results show that the method of comparative kernel density analysis is able to provide an intuitively spatial visualization distribution analysis of city infrastructure related cases. The quantitative information of spatial agglomeration degree is helpful for city managers making decision.

Abstract: In this paper, we consider a nonautonomous multispecies competition predator-prey system with Holling's type III functional response and prey supplement. It is proved that the system is uniformly persistent under some conditions. Furthermore, we show that the system has a unique positive periodic solution which is globally asymptotically stable.
Feature Weight Tuning for Recursive Neural Networks

Abstract: This paper addresses how a recursive neural network model can automatically leave out useless information and emphasize important evidence, in other words, to perform "weight tuning" for higher-level representation acquisition. We propose two models, Weighted Neural Network (WNN) and Binary-Expectation Neural Network (BENN), which automatically control how much one specific unit contributes to the higher-level representation. The proposed model can be viewed as incorporating a more powerful compositional function for embedding acquisition in recursive neural networks. Experimental results demonstrate the significant improvement over standard neural models.

Abstract: In the present study, under the spoken Mandarin number words format, we employed verification tasks to investigate the neighborhood effects in single-digit multiplication. The results revealed that, in the Arabic digits format condition, the neighborhood effects like as the former studies discovered is natural, however, the unexpected reversed neighborhood effects were found in the spoken Mandarin number words format. Specifically, RTs of higher neighborhood effects multiplication problems were longer than lower neigh- borhood effects.

Abstract: A novel coordinated controller is proposed in the paper for SVC, excitation and steam valving for a single machine infinite system. Firstly, the nonlinear mathematic model of the system including the itation and steam valving is exactly linearized via state feedback. Then, the quasi-linearized system after the exact lineariztion is controlled by the sliding model controller based on Lyapunov direct method. At last, the novel coordinated controller is compared with a traditional linear controller and a nonlinear optimal controller respectively by simulations. The simulation results show that the proposed controller gives better dynamic response and stronger robustness.

Abstract: The global financial crisis triggered by the US subprime mortgage crisis in 2008 has caused serious impact on the financial system around the world, which also aggravated the banking system. Since the banking industry is the core element of financial system, various scholars and relevant regulatory authorities have paid attention to the stability of the banking system. Unlike the traditional qualitative research, many scholars have adopted the method of computational finance based on the complex network theory to explore the banking system in recent years. Therefore, this paper has carried out a literature review of the stability of banking system under different network structures. It presents the analysis of model and results so as to have a clear understanding on the topic.

Abstract: Deep sea circulation is important for world climate and has been a substantial research area in ocean science, leading to various breakthroughs and discoveries. With the rapid advance in research on ocean science, these matters have received increasing attention from the oceanography community. In this article, we attempt to convey the progress made in recent years. We first provide an overview of existing observations, theories, and simulations of deep South China Sea circulation. Finally, we discuss remaining issues.

Assembly and electroanalytical performance of Prussian blue/polypyrrole composite nanoparticles synthesized by the reverse micelle method

Abstract: We report on the characterization, assembly and electroanalytical performance of Prussian blue/polypyrrole (PBPPy) composite nanoparticles synthesized by the reverse micelle method. Scanning electron microscopy suggests the formation of nanosized PBPPy particles with diameters between 40 and 50 nm. Optical absorption confirms that the particles are composed of Prussian blue (PB) and polypyrrole. PB and PBPPy nanoparticles were anchored onto the surface of cysteine-modified Au electrodes. Cyclic voltammetry experiments show that PB- or PBPPy-modified electrodes exhibit intrinsic electrochemical properties and a high electrocatalytic activity towards H2O2. PBPPy-modified electrodes exhibit a higher sensitivity to H2O2 than PB-modified electrodes. A linear calibration curve in the concentration range 0.99 μM–8.26 mM H2O2 is constructed with a detection limit of 0.23 μM at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. Excellent stability is observed for PBPPy-composite-nanoparticle-modified electrodes even in a pH 6 phosphate buffer solution with a high H2O2 concentration (0.99 mM). Glutaraldehyde and { m Nafion}^{ iny{ extregistered}} were also employed to immobilize glucose oxidase for the development of PBPPy-based biosensors. Abstract: In this paper, a new stabilized discontinuous Galerkin method within a new function space setting is introduced, which involves an extra stabilization term on the normal fluxes across the element interfaces. It is different from the general DG methods. The formulation satisfies a local conservation property and we prove well posedness of the new formulation by Inf-Sup condition. A priori error estimates are derived, which are verified by a 2D experiment on a reaction-diffusion type model problem.
