The Culture Turn in Translation Studies  [PDF]

Abstract: The culture turn of translation studies was initially put forward by Bassnett and Lefevere (1990) cultural approach in 1990. As important representatives of cultural approach in translation studies, Bassnett and Lefevere attached great importance to the role of culture in translation, the social background, the influence that cultural tradition imposed on translation, the subjectivity of translators and researching shift from linguistic to culture, thus improving the literariness of translated texts. Such method of study expanded the scope of translation studies enormously, opened a new field of study, thus it enhanced a further and more comprehensive development of translation studies. This paper will present a brief introduction of the history of translation studies, analyzing the social causes of culture turn and especially discuss the series shifts brought by culture turn in status of translated texts and translators, and the methods of translation analysis. In the end, some personal viewpoints will be showed about the culture turn in translation studies.
Micro-Grid Smooth Switchover Method Based on Controller State Following  [PDF]

Abstract:

Micro-grid smooth switchover between different operation modes is important for steady operation and reliable power supply of micro-grid. In order to reduce the transient fluctuation of voltage and frequency during switchover, this paper proposed a new switchover method based on controller state following. When transferring to island mode, the control method for inverter of storage device changed from PQ control to V/f control. Before switchover, the output of V/f controller is always following the output of PQ controller. So that the sudden change of output is avoided at the moment of switchover. A micro-grid model with photovoltaic and battery is built on DIgSILENT Power Factory simulation software, to simulate micro-grid switchover from grid-connected mode to island mode. Results show this method can effectively suppress the transient fluctuation of voltage and frequency, and reduce the influence of transient process on power grid. This conclusion has important practical significance on micro-grid smooth switchover from grid-con- nected mode to island mode.

Detecting Runoff Variation of the Mainstream in Weihe River

Abstract: The runoff change in Weihe River is significantly decreasing with the climate change and the huge increasing of human activities. The analysis of the variation changes of runoff would provide scientific understanding of Weihe River basin and similar basins. Mann-Kendall method is used to detect the variation changes of annual and seasonal runoff of 1919–2011 at the outlet station, that is, Huaxian station, in the mainstream of Weihe River. The results show that the runoff variation point is 1990, and there were significant changes in trends and periodicals, corroborated by wavelet variance analysis, Kendall’s rank tests, and trends persistence test, in annual, seasonal, and monthly runoff at the variation point of 1990. Attribution analysis indicates that the primary drivers of the shift in runoff variation were human activities rather than climate change, as water consumption (particularly groundwater consumption) increased sharply in the 1990s. 1. Introduction In recent decades, there are significantly changes in climate, such as temperature, precipitation, and hydrology as runoff, flood and drought. Runoff volumes in a catchment are influenced by numerous factors, like climatic variables (particularly precipitation), human activities, subsurface drainage patterns, and various other geographical and hydrological variables [1–3]. With the changing of the factors, runoff changes significantly. Many aspects of the Earth’s climate system have changed abruptly and further variations are predicted [4, 5]. Runoff in catchments of various regions is changing [6]. Notably, the runoff is declining in catchments of the Haihe River [7], Yellow River [8], Liaohe River, and Yangtze River [9]. The sequential Mann-Kendall test is a statistical test that has been used (e.g., [1, 7]) in detecting variation changes in runoff volumes and many other variables. This test, initially developed by Mann [10] and modified by Kendall [11], is straightforward, robust, and can handle both missing values and values below detection limits [12–14]. It is recommended as a standard method for detecting variation changes in serially independent hydrological data [15, 16]. Using the Mann-Kendall method, Yang and Tian [7] found that variations in runoff in the Haihe River basin occurred in the period of 1978–1985. Zhang et al. [17] found that the sediment and runoff in Yangtze River basin have a significant change in 1980s. Abstract: Let ${X_j},{Y_j}(j = 1, \cdot \cdot \cdot,n)$ be vector fields satisfying H\"{o}rmander's condition and ${\Delta_L} = \sum\limits_{j = 1}^n {(X_j^2 + Y_j^2)}$. In this paper, we establish some inequalities of Dirichlet eigenvalues for degenerate elliptic partial differential operator ${\Delta_L}$ and $\Delta_L^2$. These inequalities extend Yang's inequalities for Dirichlet eigenvalues of Laplacian to the settings here and the forms of inequalities are more general than Yang's inequalities. To obtain them, we give a generalization of the inequality by Chebyshev.

Abstract: Voltage divider biasing common emitter amplifier is one of the core contents in analog circuit curriculum, and almost all of traditional textbooks apply approximate calculation method to estimate all characteristic parameters. In calculating quiescent point, transistor base current is generally ignored to get the approximate base potential and emitter current, then other operating parameters, and AC small signal parameters can be acquired. The main purpose of this paper is to compare traditional and Thevenin equivalent methods and to get the difference of the two methods. A Formula is given to calculate the error of the traditional method. Example calculating reveals that the traditional method can generate an error about 10%, and even severe for small signal amplifier with higher quiescent point.

Abstract:
This paper reviews the commercial banks’ previous exploration and attempt in the service of scientific and technological innovation enterprises. And afterwards, as now the government has officially launched policies and delineated pilot institutions and areas to carry out the investment and lending linkage business, this paper discusses the opportunities and challenges associated with commercial banks to engage in the investment and lending linkage business. Finally, this paper puts forward relevant proposals for commercial banks to serve technology innovation enterprises. Through post-event reviews and present discussions, hopefully this paper can provide some references for commercial banks to carry out the investment and linkage business.
Crowding-Out Effect of Exports on Domestic Consumption: An Analysis Based on Panel Data of Several Industries in China  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper tries to use the data of 1998-2014 about nine departments (department of food, beverage and tobacco, department of fabric and clothing, department of car and motorcar and relative spare and accessory parts, department of medicine and the medical machine, department of culture, sports and relative equipment, minerals, building materials and chemical products division, house appliances division, computer auxiliary equipment division and else departments) to make the regression by Eviews 8.0. We find that department of food, beverage and tobacco and department of car and motorcar and relative spare and accessory parts, department of medicine and the medical machine, department of culture, sports and relative equipment do have crowding-out effect of exports on domestic consumption. Finally, in response to the policy of expanding the demand by analyzing the empirical result, we provide some recommendations from the perspective of export trade.

Abstract: As one of the most huge and potential markets in the world, China has a series of powerful IT companies, such as Tencent, Alibaba, and Xiaomi and so on. Based on such a market and huge population, these companies have very good future in developing and making profits. As a result, studying on them becomes more and more important for the market to know how these companies develop and how their stocks change. This paper focuses on the developing trend of Tencent and tries to provide a valuable investment suggestion for the market. At last, this paper finds that Tencent, as one of the biggest IT companies in China, has very great developing potential with its achievements in the game industry. The main contributions of this paper are that it has found future developing points of Tencent in the game industry and that it points out a new developing power in IT industry, the Entertainment power. The main limitation of this paper is that it has only checked one IT company, the Tencent, instead of comparing different companies to show how Tencent gets benefits from game industry.
