Journal of Environmental Protection (JEP) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/jep.2013.41006
Abstract:

This dissertation chiefly examines the difficulties and principles of establishing sustainable ecotourism based on local communities. Furthermore, mainly address management techniques of sustainability in Costa Rica, a country with a growing reputation as an ecotourist destination; meanwhile, throw light upon that effective management and setting up Green Certification Program could improve efficiency. It have been noted that the importance of establishing ecotourism in promoting sustainable maintenances, cultural preservation, and biodiversity conservation within indigenous communities. However, widely management methods to identify the potential and gauge the progress of ecotourism sites have yet to emerge, which is due to there have been few practical assessments of the status of ecotourism at specific locations. In addition, putting ecotourism theory into practice would be much more complicated than originally thought. As far as I am concerned, practical principles combining the most integrated approach would considerably bring mutual benefits between ecotourism and local communities, as appropriate management could help to achieve a balance between conservation and development. With regard to the overall research approach, a case study in Costa Rica will gain prominence in the establishment of sustainable ecotourism since previous research and experience would be highlighted and explored in depth. To some extent, it could be predicted that some gaps between theory and practice of ecotourism would be improved by promoting its sustainability based on communities, resources and economics. As a whole, establishment of benchmark for assessing sustainable ecotourism would be explored as a broader conservation strategy and offers suggestions for further improving the potential of ecotourism.

Chinese Studies (ChnStd) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/chnstd.2013.21005
Abstract: In line with the Global Circulation Project, this paper addresses the meaning transformation of Victorian novel Yeast in modern Chinese context. Power relations under the reprocessing of Yeast are set out firstly. Literary openness of Yeast and the related heterogeneous parody are then discussed. Drawing support from reader response theory, the paper henceforth explores the discursive carnival of Yeast’s hermeneutics. Finally the research anchors at the bay of a grand ethnographic setting where dwells critical responses on Yeast. Through discussions based on the novel, Chinese readers know themselves through alterity. The research suggests a relief map of the ecology of Victorian literature in a globalized context. The research finds its ethnographic root and textual preoccupation from a three year long fieldwork.
Yeast and Its Meaning Travel in China  [PDF]

Chinese Studies (ChnStd) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/chnstd.2013.22015
Abstract: The post colonial Chinese national identity is legitimized through appropriations of Victorian literature and culture. This idiosyncratic “modern” national rhetoric is supposed to be time honored and timeless, but the children it breeds turn out to be neither rightfully Victorian nor indigenously Chinese. Adopting the concept of the “meaning travel”, this essay intends to give an alternative perspective to examine the Chinese discursive practice of the Victorian literature. While intending to prove the “Chinese character” by setting out what values showed in the Victorian novel Yeast China is now short of, the Chinese readers add a fugue motif in the fable of modern China’s revitalization.

Open Journal of Social Sciences (JSS) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/jss.2014.29048
Abstract: The research selects 20 kindergarten teachers in urban and rural areas in Chongqing as the samples and adopts time sampling observation method to investigate into kindergarten teachers’ educational behaviors from seven perspectives, i.e. education & teaching, participation into children’s activities, daily behavioral management, observation& monitoring, custody and emotional expression, teachers’ daily activities and teachers’ personal activities. Research results show that kindergarten teachers’ educational behaviors have improved better than before and become more and more reasonable. However, there are still some problems, such as excessive teaching and requirements, inadequate listening to children’s ideas and stimulation of their initiatives, low effectiveness of evaluation on children’s behaviors, excessive orders and interventions in daily management, inadequate emotional exchanges between teachers and children, insufficient care for children’s individual demands, etc.

Jinyi Li, Jing Li
Open Journal of Social Sciences (JSS) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/jss.2015.310011
Abstract: A dynamic game model of reputation with incomplete information on cooperation between employees and companies in probation period and formal work stage is established. By using reputation theory of Kreps and Willson, Milgrom and Roberts, the decision-making process of employees in probation period and formal work stage and the reputation incentive effect to employees’ cooperation with companies are also analyzed. At last, two suggestions are given from this study: Firstly, companies should strengthen the probation period management; Secondly, companies should use reputation effect to motivate their employees to cooperate with them in their formal work stage.

iBusiness (IB) , 2010, DOI: 10.4236/ib.2010.24054
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the relevance of fair value accounting measurement for investment in securities. We use three measurements for fair value: net asset based on fair value per share (FV), fair value adjusted amount per share (FVAD) and fair value adjusted investment gain and loss in earnings per share (HOLDG). Our sample is composed of Chinese listed companies from period 2006 to the end of 2008.the empirical result show that First, there are the relevance between stock price and fair value measured information. Second, the explanation power of fair value measures for stock price fluctuation in the listed companies, Third, There are distinct relativity between volatility of return of stock and fair value measured information.
Empirical Study on the Performance of Patent Strategy of China  [PDF]
Zhongguo Shi, Jing Li
Journal of Service Science and Management (JSSM) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/jssm.2011.44055
Abstract: Since the middle age of 1980s, China has made great performance at economic growth, and greatly improved its innovation level. As the representation index of innovation activity, patents number growth is also significant. This paper constructed quintic overdetermined equation of one variable to simulate the trend of patent number varying with the time from 1985 to 2010, made use of Matlab Software and took the solution of simulation model. By comparing the simulation curve and real data curve, good agreement is obtained. After F-test and comparison between the simulation data and real data of 2008, 2009, 2010 respectively, it is believed that the simulation model is reliable. Based on this model, scientific estimation about the variation of Chinese patents from 2011 to 2014 is presented.

iBusiness (IB) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ib.2012.42011
Abstract: Since 1980s, China has made great performance at economic growth, and greatly improved its innovation level. As one of the most important aspect of emerging technology industry, biotechnology industry has also gotten great development. And, as the most important representation index of innovation activity, number and growth of biotechnology patents are also significant. Using OECD’s standard of biotechnology patents as the method to collect the data of biotechnology patents, this paper got detailed data of biotechnology patents in China, including spatial distribution data across 31 province, autonomous region, municipality directly under the central government, and time series data from 1985 to 2010. And further, this paper constructed quintic overdetermined equation of one variable to simulate the trend of patent number varying with the time from 1985 to 2010, made use of Matlab Software and took the solution of simulation model. After F-test, it is believed that the simulation model is reliable. Based on this model, scientific estimation about the distribution of biotechnology patents in China from 2011 to 2015 is presented.

Open Journal of Social Sciences (JSS) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/jss.2014.28016
Abstract: With the purpose of improving the efficiency of teacher-children interactions and enhancing the quality of pre-school education, the writer uses 20 kindergartens in urban areas of Chongqing as samples to study the teacher-children interactions through observation. The findings show that: 1) The teacher-children interaction is unbalanced, mainly presenting as the teacher-centered “asym-metrical interdependent interactions”. Interactions initiated by the teacher and positive emotions of the children during these interactions are obviously more than those initiated by the children. 2) Interactions between the teacher and the children lack emotional depth. In the interactions, the children response less although they participate more; major methods of initiating and responding to the interactions are non-verbal actions, short or perfunctory replies; and most contents of the interactions are events without touching upon emotions.
