Literature Review of Executive Compensation Gap and Company Performance  [PDF]
Jie Gao
American Journal of Industrial and Business Management (AJIBM) , 2019, DOI: 10.4236/ajibm.2019.91009
Abstract: This paper mainly sorts out and summarizes literatures on executive compensation gap and enterprise performance, and puts forward the direction of further exploration. Firstly, this paper sorts out relevant literature from three perspectives: the relationship between executive compensation and corporate performance, internal compensation gap and corporate performance, and external compensation gap and corporate performance. Secondly, this paper reviews the research on executive compensation gap and enterprise performance. Finally, this paper proposes the future research direction of executive compensation gap and enterprise performance.
Influences of Image Communication Paradigm of Sports Information on Sports Behavior of University Students
Jie Gao
Asian Social Science , 2012, DOI: 10.5539/ass.v8n11p243
Abstract: Image communication paradigm is the most important means of sports information dissemination. As mass communication media, TV, video website and other mass media are means that promote the development of modern sport. With a questionnaire survey on university students in non-sports majors, this article analyses influences of image communication paradigm of sports information on exercise behavior of university students, so as to correctly guide sports consciousness and sports behavior of university students, which is likely to lay a solid foundation for letting students form a good habit of physical training and develop lifelong sports consciousness.
Research on Priority Development Mode of Sports Economy in China
Jie Gao
Asian Social Science , 2012, DOI: 10.5539/ass.v8n8p238
Abstract: The sports industry aiming at entertainment and athletics has achieved the global annual output value of over USD 450 billion, and is developing rapidly at the annual growth rate of 20%. Seen from industrial economics, the sports industry should break away from traditional development mode, integrate such industries related to entertainment economy as game, lottery, music, sports, tourism, media, film & TV play so as to attain prosperous development.
Review and Prospects of the Research of Forensic Linguistics in China
Jie Gao
Asian Social Science , 2010, DOI: 10.5539/ass.v6n10p127
Abstract: This paper discusses forensic linguistics research in China from theoretical aspects and practical aspects combining with judicature, as well, gives a brief overview of foreign forensic linguistics research. Based on this, the summary of weaknesses existing in Chinese forensic linguistics studying is given. Finally, it carries on the outlook from three aspects in Chinese forensic linguistics research, which are theory constructing, methodology, practice and application.
The Existence of Homoclinic Solutions for Second Order Hamiltonian System
Jie Gao
International Journal of Wireless and Microwave Technologies , 2011, DOI: 10.5815/ijwmt.2011.05.08
Abstract: The research of homoclinic orbits for Hamiltonian system is a classical problem, it has valuable applications in celestial mechanics, plasma physis, and biological engineering. For example, homoclinic orbits rupture can yield chaos lead to more complex dynamics behaviour. This paper studies the existence of homoclinic solutions for a class of second order Hamiltonian system, we will prove this system exists at least one nontrivial homoclinic solution.
Analytical treatment of the emittance growth in the main Linacs of future linear colliders
Jie Gao
Physics , 2000, DOI: 10.1016/S0168-9002(99)00987-0
Abstract: In this paper the single and multibunch emittance growths in the main linac of a linear collider are analytically treated in analogy to the Brownian motion of a molecule, and the analytical formulae for the emittance growth due to accelerating structure misalignment errors are obtained by solving Langevin equation. The same set of formulae is derived also by solving directly Fokker-Planck equation. Comparisons with numerical simulation results are made and the agreement is quite well.
Analytical estimation of the dynamic apertures of circular accelerators
Jie Gao
Physics , 2000, DOI: 10.1016/S0168-9002(00)00345-4
Abstract: By considering delta function sextupole, octupole, and decapole perturbations and using difference action-angle variable equations, we find some useful analytical formulae for the estimation of the dynamic apertures of circular accelerators due to single sextupole, single octupole, single decapole (single 2$m$ pole in general). Their combined effects are derived based on the Chirikov criterion of the onset of stochastic motions. Comparisons with numerical simulations are made, and the agreement is quite satisfactory. These formulae have been applied to determine the beam-beam limited dynamic aperture in a circular collider.
Analytical Estimation of the Beam-Beam Interaction Limited Dynamic Apertures and Lifetimes in e^+e^- Circular Colliders
Jie Gao
Physics , 2000, DOI: 10.1016/S0168-9002(01)00239-X
Abstract: Physically speaking, the delta function like beam-beam nonlinear forces at interaction points (IPs) act as a sum of delta function nonlinear multipoles. By applying the general theory established in ref. 1, in this paper we investigate analytically the beam-beam interaction limited dynamic apertures and the corresponding beam lifetimes for both the round and the flat beams. Relations between the beam-beam limited beam lifetimes and the beam-beam tune shifts are established, which show clearly why experimentally one has always a maximum beam-beam tune shift, \xi_{y, max}, around 0.045 for e-^+e$^- circular colliders, and why one can use round beams to double this value approximately. Comparisons with some machine parameters are given. Finally, we discuss the mechanism of the luminosity reduction due to a definite collision crossing angle.
An improved empirical equation for bunch lengthening in electron storage rings
Jie Gao
Physics , 2000,
Abstract: In this paper we propose an improved empirical equation for the bunch lengthening in electron storage rings. The comparisons are made between the analytical and experimental results, and the agreements are quite well. This improved equation can be equally applied to the case where a storage ring is very resistive (such as the improved SLC damping rings) instead of inductive as usual.
Heterogeneous Human Capital and Environment Influence Mechanism of FDI: An Empirical Research Based on the Panel Data Derived from Provinces of China  [PDF]
Jie Gao
Modern Economy (ME) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/me.2016.73031
Abstract: In this paper, the human capital is divided into two kinds of types: heterogeneous human capital and coessential human capital, and the environmental impact mechanism of FDI in different human capital is studied by using the panel data from 1999 to 2012. The research shows that, in general, the FDI investment will not produce pollution effect on the environment; but in fact, it is the heterogeneous human capital in the human capital, which leads to the emission reduction effect of FDI. In contrast, FDI investment in high homogeneous human capital will lead to environmental degradation.
