Abstract: The metrology management of the measurement of the displacement of building construction is not regulated in the standard SN ISO 73 0405 - Measurement of the displacement of building construction. But the metrology management has to be included in the project of measurement of the displacement (Stage of project). Then we have to pay an attention to the metrological management during this measurement (Stage of realization) and during the evaluation of this measurement (Stage of evaluation). We have to insist on the subsequent improving of metrology management within the frame of the next project (so-called feedback). The metrology management in the measurement of the displacement during the stages should be based on an application of statutory instruments and technical standards. We should insist especially on the system of standards for the quality control ISO 9000. Considering specialities of geodetic measurements it is necessary to adapt the metrology management. That is why it will differ from the metrology management in other fields of knowledge. This paper includes some steps of metrological provision which must not be ignored.

Abstract: For the lognormal distribution, an unbiased estimator of the squared coefficient of variation is derived from the relative ratio of sample arithmetic to harmonic means. Analytical proofs and simulation results are presented.

Abstract: A mixture of six Georgia isolates of Phytophthora capsici (Leon.), the causal agent of phytophthora blight, were used for greenhouse mass screening of over 700 accessions of Capsicum annuum for both stem blight and foliar blight. From this screening, it was determined that resistance to both forms of the disease were relatively common in the germplasm, but resistance to one form of the disease was not strongly correlated to resistance to the other form. Ten accessions previously shown to possess root rot resistance were tested for resistance to stem rot and leaf blight, and were found to also be highly resistant to these forms of the disease. It appears that single accessions have resistance to foliar, stem and root rot caused by P. capsici, which may simplify breeding for resistance to all three forms of the disease.

Abstract: We examined the effects of loss of SRC-1 on MMTV-neu mediated mammary tumorigenesis.SRC-1 null mutation in mammary tumor prone mice increased the tumor latency period, reduced tumor proliferation index and metastasis, inhibited response to PPAR and RXR ligands, and induced genes involved in mammary gland differentiation. We also examined human breast cancer cell lines overexpressing SRC-1 or CBP. Coactivator overexpression increased cellular proliferation with resistance to PPAR and RXR ligands and remodeled chromatin of the proximal epidermal growth factor receptor promoter.These results indicate that histone acetyltransferases play key roles in mammary tumorigenesis and response to anti-proliferative therapies.The peroxisome proliferator activated receptor (PPAR) subgroup of the nuclear hormone receptor superfamily are activated by a variety of ligands such as fatty acids, prostaglandin J2 metabolites, fibrates, and thiazolidinedione drugs [for review see [1,2]]. Clofibrate is approved for treatment of hyperlipidemia while ciglitazone analogs are used as antidiabetic drugs. Both classes of drugs have been used as experimental cancer therapies. PPARs have functional domains for DNA and ligand binding and interact with recognition sequences in the promoter regions of their target genes to regulate transcription [3]. PPARs can heterodimerize with retinoid X receptors, which have homology to other members of the nuclear receptor superfamily [4]. Natural and synthetic ligands for RXRs, such as, AGN194204 have been characterized, and heterodimerization with PPARs greatly enhances DNA binding and transcriptional activation [5-7]. Abstract: We define twist-two and twist-three quark fragmentation functions in Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) and study their physical implications. Using this formalism we show how the nucleon's transversity distribution can be measured in single pion inclusive electroproduction.
Current-induced spin-wave excitations in a single ferromagnetic layer

Abstract: A new current induced spin-torque transfer effect has been observed in a single ferromagnetic layer without resorting to multilayers. At a specific current density of one polarity injected from a point contact, abrupt resistance changes due to current-induced spin wave excitations have been observed. The critical current at the onset of spin-wave excitations depends linearly on the external field applied perpendicular to the layer. The observed effect is due to current-driven heterogeneity in an otherwise uniform ferromagnetic layer.

Abstract: An Ito formula is developed in a context consistent with the development of abstract existence and unique- ness theorems for nonlinear stochastic partial differential equations, which are singular or degenerate. This is a generalization of an earlier Ito formula for Gelfand triples. After this, an existence theorem is presented for some singular and degenerate stochastic equations followed by a few examples.

Abstract: An approach to stochastic evolution equations based on a simple generalization of known embedding theorems is presented. It allows for the inclusion of problems which have nonlinear non monotone operators. This is used to discuss the existence of strong solutions to a stochastic Navier Stokes problem in dimension less than four.

Abstract: This article gives information about new Czech national long distances measuring standard, which has been preparedat the distance base near the Ko tice village. Submitter of the project is the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing.Research and document preparation for creation of the measuring standard were ensured by the Research Institute of Geodesy,Topography and Cartography. Interlaboratory comparisons were made by staff of the Bundeswehr University in Munich. The paperreports about works, which will be carried out on national standard in the second half of this year. Purpose of this works is to improvecharacteristics of accuracy of national etalon.
